THE NOMINEES FOR THE 2022 CMT MUSIC AWARDS HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED.

The nominees for this year’s CMT Music Awards have been revealed. Kane Brown leads with four nods.

With 23 wins, Carrie Underwood has more CMT Music Awards than any other artist. She is once again nominated for the night’s top award, Video of the Year, for her collaboration with Jason Aldean on “If I Didn’t Love You.” The pair are also up for Collaborative Video of the Year.

Mickey Guyton is up for three awards, including Video of the Year for “Remember Her Name,” as well as Female Video of the Year (“Remember Her Name”) and CMT Performance of the Year featuring Gladys Knight & BRELAND forFriendship Train (from 2021 CMT Music Awards)”

Kacey Musgraves is nominated for a pair of awards, including the overall Video of the Year, and Female Artist of the Year – both for “justified.”

Brothers Osborne has two nominations, including Group/Duo of the Year for “I’m Not For Everyone,” as well as CMT Performance of the Year for “Muskrat Greene/Dead Man’s Curve Medley (from CMT Campfire Sessions).”

Luke Bryan is nominated for two awards, including Male Artist of the Year for “Waves,” as well as Collaborative Vide of the Year with Jordan Davis on his two-week No. 1, “Buy Dirt.”

Chris Stapleton is nominated for CMT Video of the Year for Taylor Swift’s “I Bet You Think About Me” (directed by actress Blake Lively) and CMT Performance of the year with H.E.R. for “Hold On (from 2021 CMT Music Awards).”

Eric Church is up for Male Video of the Year for “Heart On Fire,” while Maddie & Tae are nominated for Group/Duo of the Year for “Woman You Got.”

Breakthrough Video of the Year features first-time nominees Parker McCollum (“To Be Loved By You”) and Priscilla Block (“Just About Over You”).

George Strait is nominated for CMT Performance Of the Year for “Is Anybody Goin’ to San Antone (from CMT GIANTS: Charley Pride).”

Nominated for CMT Digital-First Performance of the Year are Jon Pardi for “On The Other Hand/Forever and Ever, Amen” in honor of 2021 CMT Artist of a Lifetime, Randy Travis; and Josh Turner LIVE from CMT KickBack.

The 2022 CMT MUSIC AWARDS, co-hosted by Kelsea Ballerini and “Captain America” actor Anthony Mackie, will broadcast live from Nashville at 8pm ET Monday, April 11th on CBS, the first time country music’s only fan-voted show will appear on the network. The 2022 CMT MUSIC AWARDS will be available to stream live and on-demand on Paramount+. CMT will air CMT MUSIC AWARDS EXTENDED CUT with an additional 30 minutes of performances and bonus footage 8pm ET Friday, April 15th.

VIDEO OF THE YEAR 

Best video of the year; awarded to the artist (male, female, group/duo or collaboration). Top nominees, from the first round of voting, will be announced on April 4. Final nominees, from the second round of voting, will be announced on show day, April 11. Final voting will be determined via social media and announced as the final category during the live show.
