The members of the Robertson family are celebrating the success of their holiday music offering, Duck the Halls: A Robertson Family Christmas, which has sold nearly 600,000 copies.

When you think of Christmas music, one of the main songs you know is “Rudolph, The Red-Nosed Reindeer,” which Sadie Robertson and Uncle Si recorded for the album.The guys realize that Santa’s reindeer — Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donder and Blitzen, as well as the famous Rudolph – have a very big job to do, however, ask them to name them all, and they’ll have a pretty difficult time coming up with the names of all of the four-legged animals.

“Hey look here, my favorite reindeer, hey look, this is a no brainer.  Look, it’s got to be Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer. I hunt a lot so I go out in the fog a lot. Hey get real here, let’s have one that’s got a bright nose that can lead the way, Jack!”

“Hey look, name all the reindeer, are you joking Jack?  But look here, you’ve got Rudolf the red nosed reindeer, Prancer, Dancer, Blitzen, Yahoo, whatever.  Hey that’s all I can remember.  There’s about four of them that’s sticking to my mind.  The rest of them just fly away like they should.  They got a big sleigh to pull.  Don’t be bothering them.

“I’m not a big reindeer guy.  When I was a kid when everybody was sitting around watching Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer I was out in the wood hunting, usually hunting deer or duck.  So I never had the attachment to the reindeer. My wife hates it when I say that because she’s like, ‘Well, that’s not showing the Christmas spirit. I’m like look, I eat deer. I’m not apologizing for it.  I know Rudolf. That’s about it. He had a red nose, which would have been terrible for his life support to go through the woods with a glowing nose. Just always thought that was kind of dumb. Rudolf wouldn’t last long in Louisiana.”
