Vince Gill responded to Luke Combs‘ “Deep Cut Challenge” with an old Bob McDill tune “Last Dance at the Old Texas Moon.” He preceded the acoustic performance with a challenge to Faith Hill.
NOTE: Bob McDill is a phenomenal songwriter and has made countless contributions to the world of country music, including Keith Whitley‘s “Don’t Close Your Eyes,” Dan Seals‘ “Everything That Glitters Is Not Gold,” Alan Jackson‘s “Gone Country,” Mel McDaniels‘s “Baby’s Got Her Blue Jeans On” and “Louisiana Saturday Night,” as well as Alabama‘s “Song of the South” and Sammy Kershaw‘s “She Don’t Know She’s Beautiful.”
