ERIC CHURCH IS GOLD-EN! (AUDIO)

Eric Church’s Chief has reached a new milestone. The collection, which was released last July, was certified gold months ago and is now fast-approaching platinum in the U.S. It has now also been certified gold in Canada, which is more than 40,000 copies sold. His single, “Springsteen,” has also reached gold certification in digital sales north of the border, as well. These achievements are in addition to his already gold single, “Drink in My Hand” in Canada and platinum certification in the U.S. The album has not only been critically acclaimed, but fans have also devoured copies of Chief, making it one of the top-selling albums of the year. Eric takes his time when making a new record, and the process of recording Chief was no different. “I drive my producer [Jay Joyce] crazy,” says Eric, “‘cause we get our fill of each other when we’re in [the studio], you know – me calling him and texting him at 3am.”

He’s currently enjoying Top 10 status in both the U.S. and Canada with his latest single, “Springsteen.”

AUDIO: When working on a new album, Eric Church analyzes and worries over every single detail.

“Everything, every beat, everything. I drive my producer [Jay Joyce] crazy, ‘cause we get our fill of each other when we’re in [the studio], you know – me calling him and texting him at 3am, so we take a break from each other [after finishing the record].”

ET IS ON THE RECORD WITH LADY ANTEBELLUM. (VIDEO)

To say Lady Antebellum had a meteoric rise to fame would be an understatement. In less than three years, the Nashville trio has become one of the most successful — and awarded — country acts in the world.

This month, the Need You Now hitmakers partnered with Lipton on a special initiative to benefit the tornado-ravaged community of Henryville, Indiana.

ETOnline caught up with Dave Haywood, Hillary Scott and Charles Kelley to talk all about this delicious relationship, when fans can expect new music and what they cite as their “We Made It!” moment.

Nashville, TN – May 7, 2012 – Reigning CMA and ACM Vocal Group of the Year Lady Antebellum is releasing the sweeping “Wanted You More” as the latest single off their GRAMMY winning third disc OWN THE NIGHT to country radio for airplay today.

Penned by the trio along with band members Jason Gambill, Jonathan Long, Dennis Edwards and musician Matt Billingslea, the song’s melody was born during one of the group’s daily sound checks on tour and was crafted into what became “Wanted You More” over the course of several tour stops.

“One of the added benefits of being out on the road so much is the time it gives us during the day to write,” said Lady A’s Dave Haywood. “The three of us love writing together, but it’s always special when something starts organically with the guys in our band.”
