Eric Church will liven CMA Fest week for a second year in a row with his Eric Church Pop Up Store in East Nashville (address: 218 South 11th Street) beginning Thursday, June 9 and running through Sunday, June 12 with operating hours from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The concession, which will mark Church’s fourth pop up store in Nashville over the last year, will offer rare items for purchase, including his custom These Boots by Lucchese boot line and signature Gibson guitar, the Hummingbird Dark. Also available are select pieces from The Highway to Home furniture collection, an original furniture line created by Church.
This year’s era-themed shop will showcase each album throughout the four-time ACM winner and seven-time GRAMMY-nominated singer/songwriter’s career and will highlight the 10th anniversary of his gold-certified debut album, Sinners Like Me by featuring extremely limited special edition items celebrating the 2006 release that produced three Top 20 hits.
Fans who visit Church’s Facebook page Wednesday, June 8 at 11 a.m. CST will get a virtual tour of the pop up store via Facebook Live. Those who tune in to the live stream will get to preview the store’s selectHighway to Home pieces and the These Boots by Lucchese line along with other unique merchandise in this year’s Eric Church Pop Up Store.
One of Church’s extremely limited signature Gibson Guitars, the Hummingbird Dark, along with matching customized hard case will be available to purchase for those who visit the Eric Church Pop Up Store. The sleek custom design was debuted in the music video for “Record Year,” Church’s current single that Rolling Stone named, “the most moving moment” on Mr. Misunderstood. Church is among legendary artists Bob Dylan, Jackson Browne, Emmylou Harris and Pete Townshend who have also been asked to design their own guitars.
Church’s Highway to Home furniture collection was inspired by his love of the road and exploration of the world combined with family traditions. “Staying connected with my roots has always been important to me and Highway to Home is a natural extension of my family heritage,” says Church. “My dad was in the industry. My first job was in a furniture plant, so yes, it is in my blood. This project is truly about building a home around those experiences and memories that make up our lives.” TheHighway to Home pieces available for purchase will include such items as accent chests, bar cabinets, accent tables, bar stools and ottomans.
Supporters of the Chief who visit the shop also have the opportunity to pick up a pair of boots from Church’s signature line, These Boots by Lucchese. The line was developed in September of 2014 after Church visited the Lucchese factory to infuse his personal style into 10 different – his and hers—designs. Each pair is handmade by Lucchese artisans in El Paso, Texas and has Church’s handwritten lyrics to “These Boots” etched into the sole. Previously, These Boots by Lucchese were only available to VIP ticketholders at his concerts and at select pop up stores, however they can now be previewed online at http://www.ericchurch.com/theseboots.
Proceeds from specialty items (not including the Lucchese boots) at the Eric Church Pop Up Store will benefit the Chief Cares Fund, a 501c3 non-profit organized by Church and his wife Katherine that serves over 2.5 million people around the globe with charitable giving.
