LADY ANTEBELLUM POINT THEIR ‘COMPASS’ IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. (AUDIO)

Lady Antebellum have hit the airwaves with their latest single, “Compass,” which they found over the summer. The trio is always writing, listening to songs and thinking about their next project, and really had quite a bit of time to do so during their hiatus while Lady A member Hillary Scott gave birth to daughter Eisele. So, they worked up “Compass” and a few others in the studio, even though they had already put together their album, Golden.

The Golden Deluxe version, featuring “Compass,” will be available November 12th.

Golden Deluxe Bonus Tracks:
“Compass”
“And The Radio Played”
“Life As We Know It”
“Need You Now” (an iTunes Live Session Performance)
“Just A Kiss” (backstage acoustic session)
“I Run To You” (an iTunes Live Session Performance)

In other news, Lady A will perform “Compass” when they appear on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Tuesday (October 22nd).

CHARLES: “The song kind of came in to us over the summer, and obviously, we’d had some time off and just been writing a lot in our time off and thinking about our next record. So, we kinda started putting our heads together, you know, ‘Why not – since we’ve had so much time off – why not kind of repackage the record?’ Just right off the bat, I mean we love the energy of the song. We love the lyrics. I think…it kind of represents kind of where we are too (HILLARY: “Absolutely.”) in our lives.” HILLARY: “It feels good, but it has a really powerful message, and I think that’s what really gravitated us towards it.”

LUKE BRYAN TOPS THE CHARTS WITH LATEST SMASH, ‘THAT’S MY KIND OF NIGHT.’ (AUDIO)

Luke Bryan’s “That’s My Kind of Night” climbs to the top of the Country Aircheck/Mediabase chart this week. The new No. 1 single is from his platinum album, Crash My Party, and is his eighth chart-topping hit. The song didn’t find itself in its final form until much later in the studio process. “I had to take some direction on that song. My approach on it was a little weird. Me and Jeff [Stevens] and I went around and around about it,” says Luke. “I gave up a little bit and he gave up a little bit, and that’s just making a record. Once we got out of there, we were smiling and high-fiving and happy.”

The reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year is getting ready to wrap his Dirt Road Diaries Tour on Saturday (October 26th) in West Palm Beach.

Kacey Musgraves is hitting the airwaves with her new single, “Follow Your Arrow,” from her CMA-nominated album, Same Trailer, Different Park. The song has already received a lot of support from folks who have either seen her in concert and/or bought her album. It seems to be especially affecting parents of young teenage girls, who find the positive message in the song. “I’m just really, really happy that people everywhere are seeming to really love it,” says Kacey. “I have parents coming up to me all the time saying, ‘Thank you so much for writing this song. My 13-year-old daughter is singing it, and I couldn’t be more proud of her accepting everyone.’”

The Texas singer-songwriter is nominated for six CMA Awards, which will be broadcast live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena November 6th at 8pm ET on ABC.

KACEY MUSGRAVES RELEASES ‘FOLLOW YOUR ARROW.’ (AUDIO)

Nashville, TN – Mercury Nashville singer/songwriter Kacey Musgraves released her new single “Follow Your Arrow” to country radio today. “Follow Your Arrow” written by Kacey, Brandy Clark and Shane McAnally is the third single off the Texas native’s critically- acclaimed major label debut album Same Trailer Different Park, which was released this past March.

“Follow Your Arrow,” a song about living your life without fear of judgment, continues to be listed as one of the special moments off Same Trailer Different Park.  About “Follow Your Arrow” Billboard touts “…the song represents a bold statement from one of the top new voices in the format.”

USA Today admits it’s “the highlight of this major-label debut,” while The New York Times says it’s “a jaunty anthem about doing what you want and loving whom you love no matter what judgmental moralists or your own inhibitions might say.”

“I couldn’t be more proud of creating ‘Follow Your Arrow,’” said Musgraves. “Sonically and musically it’s where my head’s at right now, and I’m really enjoying connecting with people all over the world that agree. It’s a positive anthem for all of us and I’m so excited to be sharing it with everyone.”

Two days after “Follow Your Arrow” hits the radio airwaves, Kacey will join Katy Perry, Sarah Bareilles, Ellie Goulding and Tegan & Sara on Katy Perry’s We Can Survive Hollywood Bowl Charity Show on October 23. Proceeds from the benefit will go towards the Young Survival Coalition, an organization that helps young women with breast cancer.

On November 6th, Kacey will vie for SIX awards at this year’s 47th Annual CMA Awards, which will air live on the ABC Television Network (8:00-11:00 PM/ET). Kacey, a first-time CMA Awards nominee, garnered nominations for Album of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, New Artist of the Year, Single of the Year and two Song of the Year nominations; making her the first new female artist in history to top CMA nominations.

GEORGE STRAIT’S ‘GOT A CAR.’ (AUDIO)

George Strait is getting ready to hit the airwaves with his latest single, “I Got a Car,” from his latest album, Love is Everything. He actually was pitched the song by his son, Bubba. “It’s a song by Keith Gattis and Tom Douglas, and the way I found it was, my son, one of his rodeo buddies…had given Bubba a CD. So, I took it home and I laid it on the coffee table, and it sat there for two or three weeks,” says George. “He asked me about it one day, and I said, ‘Naw, I haven’t heard it yet, but I will when I get back home.’ So, I got it and stuck it in the player and started listening to it. This song was on there, along with a couple of others.”

George is up for Entertainer of the Year at this year’s CMA Awards, broadcasting live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena November 6th at 8pm ET on ABC.

“It’s a song by Keith Gattis and Tom Douglas, and the way I found it was, my son, one of his rodeo buddies – I’m not sure how he’s kin to Keith; maybe brother or cousin or something – had given Bubba a CD. So, I took it home and I laid it on the coffee table, and it sat there for two or three weeks. He asked me about it one day, and I said, ‘Naw, I haven’t heard it yet, but I will when I get back home.’ So, I got it and stuck it in the player and started listening to it. This song was on there, along with a couple of others. ‘Sittin’ on the Fence’ was on there also, I believe. I said, ‘Hey man! This guy is a good writer. I want to hear more of his stuff.’ Bubba was emailing back and forth with him. He kept sending me more and more stuff. That’s how I got ‘Blue Melodies,’ ‘I Got a Car,’ ‘Blue Melodies’ and ‘Sittin’ on the Fence.’”
