 Nashville, TN – Sept. 26, 2011 – Multi-Platinum singer/songwriter Dierks Bentley releases the anthemic “Home” off his upcoming sixth Capitol Nashville album to country radio today.  Bentley penned the poignant new track with Dan Wilson and Brett Beavers.

“One of the best parts of being a traveling musician is getting to meet people from all over the country and hear about what’s happening in their lives and their towns…the struggles and the joys,” says Bentley.  “They’re the inspiration for this song. Bentley’s sixth Capitol Nashville studio project is scheduled for release in early 2012 and has already scored the No. 1 hit “Am I The Only One.”  Bentley’s new album follows in the footsteps of his critically acclaimed UP ON THE RIDGE, which earned Album of the Year nominations at the ACM, CMA and GRAMMY Awards this year. His previous five albums have sold over five million copies, earned 10 GRAMMY nominations and spawned eight No. one hits.  

Bentley will kick off the first leg of his “Country & Cold Cans” tour on Oct. 6 in LaCrosse, WI with 22 dates running through November.

Luke Bryan kicks off his annual FarmTour Thursday (September 29th) in Clemson, South Carolina. The trek, in-between dates on his CMT Tour, is scheduled to run through Friday, October 6th in Carrollton, Georgia. Proceeds from the shows will be made available as a scholarship for a student from a farming family attending a local college in each community where the shows are taking place.

• On Monday (September 26th), Luke will be seen on Access Hollywood Live, followed by his first-ever appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday (September 28th).

“Talking about production, it’s nice to finally kind of plan up how you’re gonna have your show look and lots of lights around you, and being able to creat moments with lights, and have somebody on stage go and stand where the lights are doing this and that, and it’s nice to plan it all up. I mean, we’ve always, being an opener, you just go out there and the lights get turned on. But now, we can finally use all of our resources, all the people that are working so hard and make the lighting look even more special and make it look like a big show. And in the end, that kind of helps the overall aspect of fans really getting their money’s worth.”

LUKE BRYAN TO MAKE APPEARANCES ON

Lady Antebellum’s Own the Night has debuted at the top of the Billboard Top 200 with more than 347,000 copies sold, which is the biggest first week debut by a country artist this year. Own the Night also follows Lady A’s multi-platinum second album, Need You Now, which topped the Billboard 200 in February 2010. Lady A’s Dave Haywood, the album is a “call- to-action to tell people to get out there. ‘Let’s own this experience, own this evening, own what you’re going through, whatever it is in your life, own it and enjoy it,’ because life’s too short not to enjoy them.”

• The trio is currently in Canada promoting Own the Night before returning to the States to make their debut appearance on Saturday Night Live on October 1st.
• Next month, Lady A will travel to Europe for more appearances and fan events in the UK, France and Germany all before kicking off the first leg of their headlining Own the Night 2011 Tour beginning November 11th in Knoxville, Tennessee.

We don’t want these just to pass on by and look back and wonder what happen. We want to live in each and every single moment and enjoy these. And as well, when fans come out to see us, which we hope that they do this fall, we want people to have that experience and hopefully have something that they can look back on, as well, that they enjoy. “I think that’s one of the main reasons is the live feel to it, and it just had kind of an urgency to it and an excitement to it that we wanted to kind of represent this record. And ‘Just A Kiss’ is very Lady A, [while] ‘We Owned The Night’ is a little bit kind of more of a departure for us in a way, just the sound of it is very mandolin-heavy and it’s just got a lot of different organic elements, which is really exciting for us to kind of go down that road. But I think more than anything, the message of it, just owning the night, we thought it would just be a great, great thing to kind of just, you know…” HS: “Set the tone.” CK: “Set the tone for the record and the tour, and I’m loving the response so far. The fans are really gravitating towards it, and I think live, it’s just going to be a great cornerstone of the live show.”

Keith Urban has been tapped to perform on this year’s CMA Awards. The “Long Hot Summer” singer, who is currently touring North America on his Get Closer 2011 World Tour, is nominated for both Entertainer and Male Vocalist of the Year. Keith was named Entertainer in 2005 and picked up three Male Vocalist awards (2004-2006). While he is extremely honored to be nominated, he looks forward to performing on awards shows. “I look forward to being able to perform on awards shows,” says Keith. “That is absolute moment that matters most to me is getting to play, because the other stuff is – I don’t know about the other stuff. I know about playing, and that’s the only thing I know about.”

• The 45th Annual CMA Awards, which will also feature performances by Jason Aldean, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton and Taylor Swift, will be broadcast live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena beginning at 8pm ET/PT November 9th on ABC.

Early predictions from industry trades have Lady Antebellum’s latest album, Own the Night, debuting atop the Billboard Top 200 well past the 300,000 mark. The official totals will be released later this week. Songs on the trio’s third album seem to have different themes to them, however, they enjoy a collective them together. “The theme that I’ve kind of seen throughout it is a lot of these songs are about very specific moments in time,” muses Lady A’s Hillary Scott. “It’s not just an overall emotion or an overall feeling that’s portrayed in a song. It’s just very specific to moments that throughout your life end up defining who you are.” The second release from the album – “We Owned the Night” – is currently vaulting up the country charts.

“The theme that I’ve kind of seen throughout it is a lot of these songs are about very specific moments in time. It’s not just an overall emotion or an overall feeling that’s portrayed in a song. It’s, I mean, even down to a song on the record called, ‘As You Turn Away,’ it’s literally about a 30-second window of time, saying goodbye to someone that you had been in a relationship with and knowing that things will never be the same in that you’ll never see them again. That’s literally about a 30-second window of time and an experience that happened, and then we wrote a four-minute song about it…and ‘Own The Night,’ it’s about one night. ‘Dancing Away With My Heart,’ it’s about one night. It’s just very specific to moments that throughout your life end up defining who you are.”

“We tended to write a lot of nostalgic songs on this record, and so it kind of made us go back and look back at the road that’s gotten us here. I don’t think that was something we went into it consciously trying to do, but it just naturally kind of started coming out. And we’d start writing a song about, called it ‘Dancing Away With My Heart,’ and started kind of each sharing stories of our high school sweethearts, or prom, or whatever it may be. And it was fun to kind of go back and see that and know where you’ve been that all kind of led you to where you are and so … So, yeah. It was an interesting journey. I think it helps you appreciate what this life’s all about. And it is, it’s about all those experiences, good and bad, that make you who you are.”
