Universal Music Group Nashville Teams with Universal Music Canada on Country Newcomer Josh Ross.

Universal Music Group Nashville is teaming up with Universal Music Canada on country newcomer Josh Ross. Ross, a Waterdown, Ontario-native, is already an established hitmaker in his home country with back-to-back Top 5 singles on Canadian country radio. Now turning heads in Nashville and beyond, Ross was recently named one of Spotify’s Hot Country Artists To Watch, has shared the bill with Bailey Zimmerman, and will join Nickelback and Brantley Gilbert on a North American tour this year.

“Josh is such a gifted songwriter with so much depth,” shared Cindy Mabe, President, UMG Nashville. “He’s made Nashville his home so he could hone his songwriting skills and has elevated his art and his fan base in a short period of time. Josh found country music through Steve Earle, and songwriting has followed him throughout his life. We are honored to get to work with Josh Ross, The Core and Universal Music Canada to take Josh’s music around the world.”

“For a long time, we’ve wanted to partner with Cindy and the world class team at UMG Nashville – but it needed to be with the right artist. That artist is Josh Ross – one of the most promising voices in country music today,” said Jeffrey Remedios, Chairman & CEO, Universal Music Canada. “Josh is at once a phenomenal songwriter and magnetic performer who captures the hearts of fans with every song and every performance.”

With a first-rate team already in place stateside, Josh Ross is managed by The Core Entertainment and booked by The Neal Agency.

PARKER McCOLLUM RELEASES THE MUSIC VIDEO FOR “REST OF MY LIFE.”

Parker McCollum released the official music video for his song, “Rest Of My Life,” earlier today (March 2nd). The clip, which features actor Cameron Cowperthwaite (American Horror Story, Dahmer-Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer StoryRocket Man), depicts the toll substance abuse could take on one’s life.

.

While the video doesn’t really reflect what the Texas native was going through at the time, he wrote the song — which appears on his 2021 album Gold Chain Cowboy — during the pandemic as he struggled to cope with life while the entire world was shut down.

“Shooting the ‘Rest Of My Life’ video was certainly pretty intense. Cameron Cowperthwaite, who is an actor out of Hollywood who’s been in a bunch of films and super, super talented, really, really embraced the role of what we were envisioning for this video,” he says. “I would say the message of this video in terms of the graphic extent in making this video was much more dramatic and further along than anything I was doing in real life that inspired this song, but I really wanted to kinda push the limits. And, you know, I didn’t want to get done with this video and feel like we could’ve done more. I felt like we did everything we could do. So many talented people working on it made it so easy to capture exactly what we were talking about and exactly what that song’s about. Hopefully, it helps somebody.”

Parker is currently making his way to the top of the country charts with “Handle On You.”

CARRIE UNDERWOOD BRINGS HER SPECTACULAR “DENIM & RHINESTONES TOUR” HOME TO SOLD-OUT BRIDGESTONE ARENA IN NASHVILLE.

Carrie Underwood continues to rock the U.S., with a sold-out show at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville last night, where she was joined onstage by surprise guests, country superstars Jason Aldean and Brad Paisley, in addition to special guest support Jimmie Allen, who joins Underwood on all dates of the tour.

At the top of her highly-anticipated “hometown” show, Underwood greeted the SRO crowd, promising to blow the roof off the legendary venue, and was as good as her word throughout her entire two-hour set.

Approximately 30 minutes into the two-hour plus show, the audience, already buzzing with electric energy, exploded when country superstar Jason Aldean joined Carrie onstage to perform their multi-week #1 hit single, “If I Didn’t Love You,” usually performed by a virtual version of her duet partner in the tour’s set list.

The audience was surprised again later in the show, when Underwood’s longtime friend and 11-time CMA Awards co-host Brad Paisley appeared next to her onstage.  The crowd went wild as the pair performed a comedic parody number celebrating the unexpected reunion of “Paisleywood.”  Brad and Carrie went on to thrill the crowd with their hit duet, “Remind Me,” a beloved fan favorite.

Another highlight of the evening was when Allen returned to the stage to join Underwood with a crowd-pleasing rendition of the title track from her Denim & Rhinestones album, complete with a high-energy dance break.

Underwood’s 43-city arena tour, THE DENIM & RHINESTONES TOUR, continues through March 17th, with upcoming stops including Ohio, Texas, Arizona, the Pacific Northwest, and L.A.’s Crypto.com Arena.  THE DENIM & RHINESTONES TOUR is promoted by AEG Presents.

Carrie is making her way up the country charts with “Hate My Heart.”

Carrie Underwood (Denim and Rhinestones Tour 2023) OC: …what we do. :27
“We just have so much fun. I love this show so much. I feel like it’s definitely bigger and brighter and better than any tour we’ve ever done; a lot of elements in it. You know, I really just wanted to push myself and try new things and try to figure out different ways to entertain in different things I could do. This show is so much fun. The crowds have been so much fun. The band is so much fun, like there’s such a great energy whenever we get to be on stage.”

KIP MOORE RELEASES THE MUSIC VIDEO FOR HIS SONG, “DAMN LOVE.”

Kip Moore has released the official music video for his new song, “Damn Love,” the title track to his upcoming album, available April 28th.

Kip is set to tour Australia beginning March 11th with a show at the Dittmann Bull Pit Country Fest in Bloomsbury.

KIP MOORE LOOKS FORWARD TO EXPERIENCING “THE EUPHORIC NATURE” OF PERFORMING DOWN UNDER.

Kip Moore is getting ready to embark on a sold-out tour of Australia, beginning with a show at the Dittmann Bull Pit Country Fest in Bloomsbury March 11th. The trek Down Under will also include stops in Melbourne, Sydney, Willowbank and Auckland, before he travels to South Africa for more headlining shows, including a two-night stand in Cape Town at the beginning of April.

For his shows Down Under, he says he and his band experience a sort of euphoria when playing to those crowds. “I think we’re most excited about just experiencing the euphoric nature that that Australian crowd always provides us. I think as entertainers that’s all you can ever hope for is that someone pours into you the same thing that you’re trying to pour into them, and Australia gets us that way.”

He does wish he had a little more downtime to explore and enjoy one of his favorite activities. “Unfortunately, I will not have as much downtime as I’d like to have. I would love to surf. I would love to experience the Outback, but we’re kind of in and out really fast. So once again, I don’t really get to experience the country the way I wish I could.”

Kip recently announced the title and release date of his fifth studio album, Damn Love. The 13-song collection will be available April 28th.

DIERKS BENTLEY’S 10TH ALBUM IS A COMBINATION OF HIS “GREATEST STYLES AND SOUNDS.”

Dierks Bentley‘s 10th studio album GRAVEL & GOLD is a collection of 14-songs that contain a combination of his sounds and styles over an illustrious 20-year career. He scrapped his first two attempts in the studio, but he wanted to make No. 10 just right.

“I heard about that number a lot as I was going into it, and I really didn’t know what it meant to me personally or what to do with it,” says Dierks. “It wasn’t until I was in the studio for like the second time, I started thinking about ten. And that’s where I kind of start thinking more about like this kind of the tenth album should be, not a collection of, you know, a greatest hits album, but like a greatest styles and sounds of my previous albums all on one record. You know, like an album that collected the little areas I tried to carve my little thing out of. So, like obviously you know radio country, the hits people know for me on the radio whatever those that style is trying to do something new or different, but then also I love of bluegrass and nineties country and the fun songs on this record that would be Beer At My Funeral, you know, some of the more traditional songs too. I really wanted those on here, you know. Again, It gets weird. It goes back to my, like my first album. I didn’t mean to do that, but my first album had some stuff that was different but also had some shuffles. It ended on a bluegrass song with Del McCoury, and this one ends with a Billy Strings bluegrass song. And so I wanted to make an album, my 10th album to be something I could be like, Hey, this is like me doing what I do, all the little things that I love about country music on one album. It’s not a greatest hits, but it’s a collection of my sound and my styles, and hopefully done the greatest I’ve done it before, if that makes any sense. So, that’s what ten, the 10th thing ended up becoming a little bit of a theme for me as far as like, trying to make it a collection of all those styles and sounds.”

The Grand Ole Opry will celebrate Dierks on the release of his 10th studio album, GRAVEL & GOLD , with a special one-hour set, “Dierks Bentley & Friends,” on the Friday, March 3rd show. The Opry will bring to life a portion of the Gravel & Gold album with performances by Bentley as well as his friends Jordan DavisAshley McBryde and more to be announced.

The “Dierks Bentley & Friends” one-hour set will air as a Saturday night Opry Live on March 18th on the Opry’s television broadcast home, Circle Network, Circle All Access Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. The Opry show will be heard on opry.com and wsmonline.com, SiriusXM Willie’s Roadhouse, and the show’s flagship radio home, WSM Radio.

Dierks is making his way up the country charts with his latest single, “Gold.”

Audio / Dierks Bentley says making his 10th album gained more significance to him as the recording process went on.
