Breakout singer-songwriter Josh Ross releases his highly anticipated EP, Complicated, today. The eight-song project includes his emotional power ballad “Trouble” and current chart-riser “Single Again.” Deeply invested in each note, Ross co-wrote seven of the EP’s eight tracks, produced by frequent collaborator Matt Geroux.

Ross shares, “I’ve been waiting to share this body of work with all of you. I’m a complicated person, and these songs reflect the last few years of my life. I’ve been inspired by a lot of different types of music, but country has such a traditional style of storytelling and the meaning behind a lyric stands true. My goal was to allow people to see all the different sides of me. I hope everyone finds a story in these songs they can relate to.”

Last night, Ross celebrated the release of Complicated at downtown Nashville’s Ole Red. Following a live performance of the full EP for fans, friends and industry, he was surprised on stage by UMG Nashville Chair & CEO Cindy Mabe and Universal Music Canada SVP, Marketing JP Boucher with a plaque commemorating “Trouble” earning RIAA Gold certification in the US. The track has also been certified Double-Platinum in Canada.

Anne Wilson and Josh Ross have been announced as two of the members of the Opry NextStage program, which spotlights country music’s rising talent on the Grand Ole Opry stage and across its platforms. 49 Winchester, Charles Wesley Godwin, Chase Matthew, Ella Langley, Flatland Cavalry, Madeline Edwards and Wyatt Flores are also included in the Opry NextStage Class of 2024.

Josh Ross has just released his new radio single, “Single Again,” which he co-wrote  with Joe Fox and Brad Rempel. He says he came up with the idea when he approached an old crush about four years ago.

“The honest story behind ‘Single Again’ was the title actually came from a night out. I was at a bar probably about four years ago, and I had saw a girl that I always had a crush on growing up, and I went to approach her and give her a drink and I found out she had a boyfriend, but I politely still said hello and then I gave her the drink, and I said, ‘Let me know if you’re ever single again.’ And that’s how we got the idea.”

Josh, who is on the road with Bailey Zimmerman on the Religiously The Tour as well as headlining his own Trouble Tour, will release an eight-song collection titled Complicated on March 29th.

Of the track, Ross shares, “‘Matching Tattoos’ is very personal to me. It is a song that comes from a real experience I went through a few years ago. I wrote this song on the Nickelback tour this past year and I hope y’all can connect to the emotion of the song as much as I do.”

Josh Ross has released a performance video for his song, “Truck Girl.”

Reba McEntire just loves her Tater Tots. In fact, she and her boyfriend, actor Rex Linn, have nicknames for each other: she is Tater Tot and Rex is Sugar Tot. Alan Jackson announced on his socials that he and his wife Denise will become grandparents for the second time later this year. His daughter Mattie and her husband Connor Smith are expecting their first child — a boy — in June. Daughter Ali gave birth to a son — Jackson Alvie Bradshaw — in 2022.

According to several media reports, initially by TVLine.com, Reba McEntire is returning to the small screen in a scripted show. She’s teaming up with her Reba Executive Producer and writer to reportedly work on a pilot for NBC. Reba will star as a woman who “inherits her father’s restaurant and is less than thrilled to discover that she has a new business partner in the half-sister she never knew she had.” She’s no stranger to TV, as she also headlined Malibu Country and recently recurrances on CBS’ Young Sheldon and joined the cast of ABC’s Big Sky for its third and final season, as well as serving as a coach on NBC’s The Voice and in last year’s Lifetime movie, The Hammer.

Tyler Hubbard is set to perform at Family Gras in Metairie, Louisiana on Sunday (February 4th). The three-day festival, taking place Friday (February 2nd), Saturday (February 3rd) and Sunday, will also feature performances by Amy Grant, Cheap Trick, the Oak Ridge Boys and Amanda Shaw, among others.

“Truck Girl” delves into the intense feelings associated with a love lost. Ross reflects on the song, “’Truck Girl’ is about realizing and processing the raw emotion that comes from having that person you thought could be your forever, walk away for good.”
