CARRIE UNDERWOOD’S BOYS ENJOYED SOME CHRISTMAS MAGIC OVER THE HOLIDAYS.

We may be getting ready to enter February, but we just celebrated the holidays a few weeks ago. Carrie Underwood and her family were surrounded by the magic of Christmas–especially since they could enjoy it through the eyes of both her of her sons — Isaiah and Jacob — now that her youngest is beginning to understand.

“I feel like this year was kind of the first year that Jake understood Christmas and all it’s magic,” says Carrie. “He was three around Christmas; he just turned four in January, and it’s just a lot of fun to have two kids that are kind of in the thick of just believing in Christmas magic. We did a lot of traveling with family and we got to spend some time up in Canada and they got to play in the snow, and it’s a lot of fun. It’s fun right now in our world with our boys.”

Carrie is currently making her way up the country charts with her latest single, “Hate My Heart,” and she’s getting ready to launch the next leg of her Denim & Rhinestones Tour on Thursday (February 2nd) in Miami.

Audio / Tyler Hubbard says one of the interesting things about his new album is some of the songs that ended up on the record were songs he originally pitched to other artists.

Tyler Hubbard (story about album) OC: …songs for me. :28
“When I think of interesting things that have happened when making this album is a few of these songs that ended up on my album and that I ended up really loving are actually songs that I pitched to other artists probably just six or eight months before I decided to make an album. So, I always find it interesting in how songs can find their way to where they’re supposed to be and the life they’re supposed to live, and it’s just interesting that those songs didn’t end up getting cut by other artists and ended up making this project and being really important songs for me.”

LUKE BRYAN WRAPS EIGHTH SOLD-OUT CRASH MY PLAYA EVENT.

Luke Bryan’s annual all-inclusive concert vacation, Crash My Playa, wrapped Sunday night in Riviera Cancún, Mexico with its eighth sold-out event. The event took place at the incredible AAA Four Diamond Awarded Moon Palace Cancún, featuring four nights of country music on a private stretch of white sand beach. Fans were treated to two headline concerts by Luke, with Lionel Richie joining as special guest on Sunday night, as well as Cole Swindell and Chris Stapleton headlining their own nights. Additional performances throughout the event included Dustin Lynch, who hosted an all-day edition of his infamous pool party, Ashley McBryde, Brian Kelley, Carly Pearce, Chase Rice, Dylan Scott, Chayce Beckham, Alana Springsteen, Kendell Marvel and DJ Rock.

Crash My Playa kicked off last Thursday, January 19 with four fun filled days of performances with daily pool parties, nightly concerts, and late-night party sets. Fans experience one-of-a-kind performances from all the artists participating as they joined each other on stage or as they cheered each other on from side of stage. On Sunday evening, Luke closed out the four-day event with a special “Luke & Friends” set welcoming special guest Lionel Richie along with Chayce Beckham, Brian Kelley, Dylan Scott and Dustin Lynch.

“Year after year we aim to grow the music experience and the vacation experience to new heights,” shared Luke. “And I feel we did that this year.  Cole and Chris both knocked it out of the park with their headline sets. It was so fun to watch. And special thanks to my dear friend Lionel Richie for making our closing night even more special by joining me on stage for an evening I will never forget!  Playa is truly a highlight of my year by watching these fans and the artists have fun in the Mexico sun.”

On February 19th, Luke returns to the small screen with Lionel Richie and Katy Perry for their sixth season as celebrity judges on ABC’s American Idol.

PARKER McCOLLUM REFLECTS ON A YEAR OF GROWTH.

Parker McCollum‘s star continues to rise with awards, chart-topping singles, sold-out shows and getting ready to headline the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo for the second time. Last year was an incredible year, but according to the Texas native it was also a year of growth.

“Well, I grew as a performer certainly, I felt like I improved in that area,” says Parker. “Professionally, just learning how to run a business and still be creative and be an artist and having that nice balance is something that I feel like I’m kind of learning as I go all the time, but always getting better and hopefully showing improvement.”

Parker, who is closing in on Top 10 on the country charts with his latest single, “Handle On You,” kicks off his tour February 2nd in Columbus, Ohio.

TYLER HUBBARD TAKES PROPS FROM SHANIA TWAIN FOR HIS SELF-TITLED DEBUT SOLO ALBUM.

For an artist, the title of an album takes a lot of thought and encompasses the full collection of songs. For Tyler Hubbard, he thought about different song titles that would make sense, but it wasn’t until he saw a documentary on Shania Twain that he came up with the perfect title for his debut solo album — Tyler Hubbard.

“So for my debut solo album, I went around and around trying to figure out what to call it,” recalls Tyler. “I thought ‘Small Town Me.’ I thought about ‘Me For Me.” I thought about a lot of the song titles, and then it hit me. I was watching a Netflix documentary about Shania Twain, and her debut album was self-titled and I thought, ‘You know what? What better way to connect the name with the face with the story and with the songs then a self-titled album.’ So, I decided you know what? That’s what I’m gonna do – debut solo album, we’re gonna call it Tyler Hubbard, and it’s gonna be my story to connect with the fans on a personal, individual level.”

Tyler heads to New York this week and next to promote his new album. The Georgia native makes his solo late-night television debut on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Monday performing his current hit single, “Dancin’ In The Country.”

On Tuesday, he’ll make an appearance on “Good Morning America,” also performing his current single, “Dancin’ In The Country.”

Tyler’s self-titled album is available Friday (January 27th).
