Luke Bryan is poised to take over the top of the country charts with his latest hit single, “Huntin’, Fishin’ and Lovin’ Every Day,’ but he says he never takes a No. 1 or his fans for granted.
“I never take that fun feeling of a big hit [for granted]. I always relish in that, because it’s never easy,” says Luke. “I get crazy excited. We throw parties. We toast each other and we celebrate, because it’s a big deal for us.”
In the case of “Huntin’, Fishin’ and Lovin’ Every Day” from his Kill the Lights album, it’s a song that tells fans the kind of person he is, as well as giving them a message for their own lives. “I love it, because at the end of the day, it’s still got a special pretty little message too,” he says. “It is about huntin’ and fishin’, but then it is about getting out there and making the most out of life with the people you love or even just having a day by yourself.”
You can catch him performing “Huntin’, Fishin’ and Lovin’ Every Day” on the road with his Kill the Lights Tour, which makes a two-night stand in Toronto June 24th and 25th.

“I never take a No. 1, I never take that fun feeling of a big hit [for granted]. I always relish in that, because it’s never easy. I get crazy excited. We throw parties. We toast each other and we celebrate, because it’s a big deal for us. And then when you look at what ‘Huntin’, Fishin’ and Lovin’ Every Day’ tells fans, it’s such a real song that pertains to my daily life. I love it, because at the end of the day, it’s still got a special pretty little message too. It is about huntin’ and fishin’, but then it is about getting out there and making the most out of life with the people you love or even just having a day by yourself. I’ve had songs like that on previous albums that spoke that kind of country boy lingo stuff that we were a little hesitant to release to radio, but people are very passionate about it. But this song we got to release it to radio and it got to tell such a great story of who I am. It’s kind of like what ‘We Rode in Trucks’ was for me 10 years ago. Now, it’s my moment to kind of have that song. What’s fun about it is it’s just starting to really, really like, when we kick into it on the road, it’s like [roars], people freak out, and that’s what’s addicting about this stuff. So, yeah, we’re loving having it out.”
