Darius Rucker (CMA Music Fest) OC: …awesome. :48
“Music Fest is like nothing else. I say all the time that country music is the only genre that could have something like that. It’s truly amazing, when I come that weekend, people are everywhere and they want to be your best friend. It’s always cool and I love coming here. The thing that always gets me is the show. The fact that you can get that many superstars at one show all playing for free, for the same goal, to entertain those people that are in that stadium that come here for the whole week from all over the world. They come here for one week to see country music, and it’s amazing that those artists say on Friday and Saturday night, this is country music come on out. That’s awesome.”

Audio / Dierks Bentley, who will perform at Nissan Stadium on Sunday, recalls the worst thing he's been asked to sign.

Dierks Bentley (signing a baby’s head) OC: …child’s brain. :13
“A baby’s head with a sharpie. Yeah, like a two-week old baby. I didn’t want to do it. I didn’t want to do it. The woman was like, ‘Please.’ I was like, ‘Alright.’ The head at that point is so vulnerable, transparent, so I’m just hoping they didn’t get any ink in the child’s brain.”

Luke Bryan (CMA Music Fest) OC: …for this week. :33
“It’s a great week. I truly love this week for hundreds of reasons. I always remember my first ones and starting out and doing River Stages and always dreaming of coming over here and performing at LP Field (now Nissan Stadium) and all of the stuff building the fan base early in the week. It’s an amazing week for Nashville, and it’s a great week for me. And then I get to be home and do all this stuff. It’s always been a fun week for me. A lot of my family always comes in for this week.”

Audio / SAM HUNT SAYS HIS FIRST TRIP TO NASHVILLE DURING CMA MUSIC FEST INSPIRED HIM TO MOVE TO MUSIC CITY.

Sam Hunt (CMA Music Fest-move to Nashville) OC: …good week for Nashville. :38
“You know, I was here several years ago for the first time for CMA Fest as a fan. I came out to the show, did the full experience, and it really was one of the big reasons I decided to move to Nashville. It kind of made the idea of being a songwriter more tangible and realistic, and also I fell in love with the city, Nashville, so I knew it’d be a place I’d be happy living, and also because of the music. So, yeah, that week here really inspired my move here, and it was a significant part of my life. But since then, I’ve been to every CMA Fest since, I think, and it’s a good week for Nashville.”

BROTHERS OSBORNE WILL APPEAR IN NEW NATIONAL TELEVISION ADS FOR RAM TRUCK.

Brothers Osborne is set to appear in new national television ads for Ram Truck. The 30- and 60-second “Support the Port |Brothers Osborne” commercial spots feature the all-new 2019 Ram 1500 pickup and will premiere during The CMT Awards tomorrow, June 6, airing live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN at 8/7c. To view a sneak peek, click HERE. Fans can check out the full videos tomorrow HERE.

As part of the commercial shoot, the GRAMMY-nominated duo returned to the Florida coastal town where they recorded their critically-acclaimed sophomore album aptly titled Port Saint Joe. Combining Brothers Osborne’s desire to give back to the community of Port Saint Joe and Ram Truck brand’s grassroots Ram Nation initiative, where Ram owners help in their communities, the commercial centers around the Port Saint Joe Theatre renovation project which included restoring the original neon marquee sign. The shoot culminated with a special public performance of “While You Still Can” which is also synced to the ad spot. The theatre has always served as a beacon of hope and progress for the local community.

Ram trucks have long held a special meaning with the reigning ACM and CMA Vocal Duo of the Year. The first time John and TJ visited Nashville, they made the 10-hour trek from their blue-collar hometown of Deale, Maryland in their Dad’s Ram Truck. KEITH URBAN’S ‘COMING HOME’ ALL STARTED WITH MERLE HAGGARD.

Keith Urban wrote his current hit “Coming Home” based on a guitar lick he loved from Merle Haggard‘s 1968 No. 1 hit, “Mama Tried.”

“I wanted to write something from that famous guitar lick in that song, and we took it from Haggard’s record, sort of manipulated it a little bit and put some new chords around it and wrote this music track,” says Keith. “What became the chorus was almost stream of conscious when I was listening to the track. I just wrote ‘There’s a place that I know where they all know me/I gotta get back now to the ones who love me/wrap myself around you/never let you go/there’s nothing in the world that feels like Coming Home.’ And it all just came out, and that’s what Merle’s guitar lick made me feel, so it was a very important part of the song.”

“Coming Home,” featuring Julia Michaels, is set to enter the Top 10 and is from Keith’s new album, Graffiti U. He co-wrote the song with Julia, as well as J.R. Rotem, Nicolle Galyon and the late Merle Haggard.

Keith will perform during this year’s CMA Music Fest on Saturday (June 9th) at Nissan Stadium. He’ll kick off his Graffiti U World Tour with special guest Kelsea Ballerini in St. Louis, Missouri June 15th.

Audio / Keith Urban explains how his song “Coming Home” all started with Merle Haggard’s guitar lick from “Mama Tried.”

DIERKS BENTLEY REVEALS HOT COUNTRY NIGHT LINE-UP FOR HIS SEVEN PEAKS MUSIC FESTIVAL.

Already tapped as one of the hottest music festivals this summer by Billboard and Entertainment Weekly, multi-PLATINUM entertainer Dierks Bentley and the world’s leading live entertainment company Live Nation announced further details for their upcoming inaugural Seven Peaks Music Festival today. The action-packed, three-day and multiple-stage festival will get the party started on Friday, Aug. 31 in Buena Vista, CO with Hot Country Night featuring performances by Clint Black, Sawyer Brown, Terri Clark, David Lee Murphy and special guest Bentley’s own Hot Country Knights.  Bentley exclusively broke the new details with Rolling Stone in a medley video of the Friday night lineup’s timeless hits.

“I couldn’t imagine getting to help plan my own festival and not having my favorite country music from the 90’s represented in a big way,” said Bentley.  “These guys are the constant soundtrack for me and the band backstage on the road, and I’m beyond excited they agreed to kick this thing off on Friday night with us. I’m counting the days…I hope they let me jump up and sing with them!”

A weekend-long Somewhere On A Beach Party was also revealed, taking full advantage of the scenic festival’s setting with a daytime soiree on the water.  Campers will be able to bask in the Colorado sunshine while floating with their friends, as well as enjoying daily drink specials and beach games with DJ AYDAMN keeping the festivities going all-day long. Passes for the Labor Day weekend (8/31-9/2) destination experience are available now and due to demand more Summit VIP passes have also been made available at sevenpeaksfestival.com.
Today’s announcement follows the news that Seven Peaks Music Festival’s first year will offer one of the most eclectic lineups of 2018, previously revealing friends Miranda Lambert, Brothers Osborne, Elle King, LANCO, Del McCoury, Sam Bush and The Cadillac Three as the first announced artists to play, as well as recent additions to the main stage including Dan + Shay and just revealed acts Lucie Silvas and Kiefer Sutherland. Like his upcoming studio album THE MOUNTAIN, which is available this Friday (6/8), Seven Peaks Music Festival was inspired from Bentley’s love of The West. A bucket list experience, fans will be able to enjoy the unique vibe of the festival from the comradery-filled lineup to the community atmosphere as well as the late-night jams and surprise guests, while the jaw-dropping beauty of the collegiate peaks mountain range provides the perfect homegrown feel for camping under the stars.
