DIERKS BENTLEY ANNOUNCES NEW ALBUM, GRAVEL & GOLD, WITH ALBUM TRAILER.

For a couple of days on his social platforms, Dierks Bentley has been teasing a big announcement to take place this week. This afternoon (January 12th), he revealed his 10th album, Gravel & Gold, will be released February 24th and is expected to include his current Top 20 hit, “Gold.”

The album trailer opens up with him in front of a video screen which takes fans back to older videos of him performing on stage throughout the years. He says, “It’s been a long road, a 20-year journey filled with highs and lows, twists and turns. My love for country music, that’s what’s always kept me going, town to town, show to show, small clubs to packed arenas. I worked hard. I took chances, went for things. The journey isn’t where I’ve been, it’s the thing I carry with me into my 10th album. I wrote. I recorded. It wasn’t good enough. I threw it out, started over…twice. I had to get it right, for the fans, for me. It had to be the best country music I’ve ever made. Everyone showed up — my heroes and my friends. We did it together. It’s the love, the lessons, the Gravel & Gold.”

The last full-length studio album he released was The Mountain in 2018.

Dierks Bentley (working on new album) OC: …loves it. :27
“It is the 10th album. I went into the studio three different times, worked with a lot of different producers and finally just ended up putting together my own team. I mean, I’m just thankful. I feel like for me for COVID, it was like a red light. For all of us, we were all just stuck there and I kinda got out of my car and just left it in park for a little bit, and I was able to come back and do it in late ’21 and ’22 and really be focused on finishing the record and getting it done the right way. And I don’t know. Hopefully everyone loves it.”

JORDAN DAVIS’ 2022 WAS FULL OF NEW MUSIC, AWARDS AND MILESTONES.

Jordan Davis had an amazing 2022 with a two-week No. 1 for “Buy Dirt,” featuring Luke Bryan, sold-out headlining shows and culminating with his first CMA Award for Song of the Year for “Buy Dirt,” which he co-wrote with his brother Jacob Davis and friends, Matt and Josh Jenkins. However, his proudest joy came from watching his one-year-old son, Locklan James (Lock for short), learn to walk and speak his name.

“You know, professionally 2022 was, even outside of the life of ‘Buy Dirt,’ I think we put a lot of other songs out that did amazing things and we did a headline tour that did really, really well,” says Jordan. “You know for me, that’s a huge gauge if we continue to go back to cities and play shows and the crowd grows, like that’s a good gauge of music connection for me. And obviously, the highlight being standing up on stage at the CMA Awards with my brothers, with my brother and two of my best friends in town, that was pretty amazing professionally. Personally, it was a busy year. We played a lot of shows, but obviously, my son, getting to see him kind of come into his own, start walking, calling me Dada, it’s gonna be tough to beat that in any of the years to come.”

Jordan is poised to climb to the top spot on the country charts with “What My World Spins Around.” Fun Fact: the song actually topped the Country Aircheck chart for one week over the Christmas holidays. The song is from his upcoming album, Bluebird Days, available February 17th.

NEWS AND NOTES: Kip Moore, Brothers Osborne, Keith Urban, Tyler Hubbard

Kip Moore has been tapped to perform during this year’s Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, taking place June 15th-18th in Manchester, Tennessee. He’s scheduled to perform on Sunday, June 18th. The four-day event will include headliners Kendrick Lamar, Foo Fighters, Odesza, Paramore and L’il Nas X, among others. Early Access ticket sales will begin Thursday (January 12th) at 10am, but if you cannot get there, then you can watch the festival stream on HULU.

Several famous faces are set to honor the late Leslie Jordan. Reportin’ for Duty: A Tribute to Leslie Jordan will be held February 19th at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. Brothers Osborne, Maren Morris, Eddie Vedder, and others, in addition to special appearances by Jim Parsons, Anthony Mason, Mayim Bialik, Cheyenne Jackson, Max Greenfield and Margaret Cho. Tickets go on sale Friday (January 13th) and all proceeds from the event will benefit the EB Research Partnership, an organization that funds research to treat and cure Epidermolysis Bullosa.

John Osborne from Brothers Osborne plays guitar on Elle King’s song, “Tulsa,” which she just released from her upcoming album, Come Get Your Wife. The track also features Ashley McBryde on backing vocals.

Guitar virtuoso and legend Jeff Beck passed away on Tuesday (January 10th) after contracting bacterial meningitis. The music world mourned the loss of the icon, including one of country music’s best guitar players — Keith Urban. On Wednesday (January 11th), he posted a heartfelt tribute to him, saying, “I was shocked and saddened to hear that Jeff Beck had ‘portaled into the next realm.’ It’s impossible to label or frame his gift, his music, his ART, or to try and quantify his impact on not only guitarists, but all kinds of musicians, singers, and music lovers all over the world. He’s absolutely one of the few faces on the Mt. Rushmore of guitar players.” Keith was able to stand side stage, along with ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons, last year and was mesmerized by his talent firsthand.

Tyler Hubbard will be featured on CMT’s Hot 20 Countdown this weekend. Catch him on Saturday (January 14th) beginning at 9am ET/8am CT and Sunday (January 15th) beginning at 8am ET/7am CT.

“‘Me For Me’” was written with my good buddies, Russell Dickerson and Thomas Rhett. We set aside a few hours and just thought we’d see what happens. We ended up writing ‘Me For Me,’ which quickly became one of my favorites because it really felt personal and real. I love when an unexpected song falls out of thin air, especially with two of your best buds. I couldn’t wait to get into the studio with (producer) Jordan and bring the song to life.”

With 20 No.1 singles on country radio, countless awards, and sold-out tours, Tyler Hubbard has already had a remarkable career as a songwriter and as one half of multi-platinum duo Florida Georgia Line. Now Hubbard is embarking on a solo career. Hubbard’s debut solo album, Tyler Hubbard, features his hit debut solo single “5 Foot 9,” which already hit No. 1 at radio, was certified Gold by the RIAA, and has nearly 270M global streams. It also features Hubbard’s current single, “Dancin’ In The Country,” which already has over 30M global streams and is now climbing the Top 40 at country radio. In anticipation of his debut solo album, this past summer Hubbard released a six-song project, Dancin’ In The Country, which debuted with over 10,000 SPS units (sales plus streaming) making it the second best-selling country EP debut of the year. It also debuted at No.1 on the Heatseekers Albums chart, No. 6 on the Current Country Albums sales chart, and No. 107 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. Since releasing his debut single, Hubbard has released nine unofficial music videos. Watch all of Hubbard’s videos HERE.

Tyler Hubbard (Me For Me) OC: …take away. :43
“So, what I want fans to take away from ‘Me For Me’ is ultimately, I hope they get to know me a little bit more. It’s very literal (ha). It’s very much who I am and who I was, and also the beauty of finding the right person who loves you for you, and I remember finding that with my wife Hayley, and just almost being surprised and shocked that she didn’t expect me to change this, change that and I had had previous relationships that were kind of that way. So, I met her, and I just thought I’m just gonna keep doing what I’m doing and eventually she’s gonna ask me to change and tweak some things, if you will, but she never did. And I just thought that was really special, and I always felt like she really just loved me for me and so that’s kind of the heart behind the song and I hope that’s what the fans take away.”

REBA MCENTIRE’S THE HAMMER SET TO DEBUT ON LIFETIME TOMORROW, JANUARY 7TH.

Reba McEntire’s The Hammer, starring and executive produced by Reba, is set to premiere tomorrow, January 7th at 8p ET/7p CT on Lifetime and will be available to stream the following day.

In The Hammer, Reba plays Kim Wheeler, an outspoken, firecracker lawyer who is appointed Judge of the 5th District of Nevada and is one of the few traveling judges left in America.

This is Lifetime’s second collaboration with Reba, who also starred in and executive produced her 2021 holiday film, Reba McEntire’s Christmas in Tune. The Hammer also reunites McEntire with her Reba co-star Melissa Peterman and stars Kay Shioma Metchie and Rex Linn.

“I loved the script for The Hammer and could definitely identify with the tough, no-nonsense spirit of the real life person it was based on,” Reba said. “Also, how could I say no to getting to work with my boyfriend, Rex Linn, and my Reba tv show co-star Melissa Peterman again? We had the best time!”

Leading up to the premiere, Reba will appear on The Talk today at 2p ET/1p CT. Tomorrow, January 7th, Reba and her co-stars will be discussing the movie via Facebook Live at 6p ET/5p CT. KYLIE MORGAN CHANNELED TAYLOR SWIFT IN HER FIRST PUBLIC PERFORMANCE.

Kylie Morgan has performed her own songs live thousands of times, but for her first public performance in Oklahoma several years ago, she channeled global superstar Taylor Swift.

“I went to Walmart and got a very gold, glittery 12-dollar dress, and my first performance in front of a crowd was at this little place in Oklahoma called the Rodeo Opry,” recalls Kylie. “And it was a Friday night performance where they had the new up-and-comers kind of get their feet wet on stage and I sang ‘Picture To Burn’ by Taylor Swift (laughs) in my little sparkly gold dress and cowboy boots. And just knew from right then and there – I was so nervous, but it was such a thrilling experience, and it was like such an adrenaline high that I’d never had. I was a gymnast for 10 years and so even after gymnastic meets I didn’t feel that, and it was the first time that I’ve just felt so alive and I knew from then on, that’s what I wanted to do.”

Kylie is currently on her honeymoon with husband Jay Allen, while she’s heating up country radio and the streaming charts with her single, “If He Wanted To He Would.”

REBA McENTIRE PREMIERES HER NEW LIFETIME MOVIE, THE HAMMER, THIS WEEKEND.

Reba McEntire enters the courtroom on Saturday (January 7th) in the new Lifetime movie, The Hammer. The multi-talented superstar plays Kim Wheeler, an outspoken lawyer who is appointed to be a judge for Nevada’s 5th District, making her one of the few traveling judges left in America. The previous judge died under suspicious circumstances, and now Kim finds herself  dispensing justice between Reno and Las Vegas, as well as helping her sister (played by Reba co-star and friend, Melissa Peterman) who is accused of murdering the former judge. Her real-life boyfriend (and Big Sky co-star) Rex Linn also stars in the film.

Known as an iconic singer and storyteller, Reba finds acting a different kind of creative outlet. “It’s another creative outlet. That’s why I love acting.  When I did ‘Annie Get Your Gun,’ I got to sing, I got to act, but I also got to be another character. I wasn’t Reba McEntire. So that’s what I really enjoy doing – being something outside my character.”

This is Lifetime’s second collaboration with Reba who also starred in and executive produced her 2021 holiday film, Reba McEntire’s Christmas in Tune.

With her run on ABC’s Big Sky: Deadly Trails, Reba has delved into a darker place with her complex character Sunny Barnes, who some might say is a bad person, while others see the character as a mother protecting her family.

She definitely plays a good person and a steward of justice in The Hammer, which you can catch this Saturday (January 7th) beginning at 8pm ET/7pm CT on Lifetime.

You can also catch Reba on tour this spring. She recently announced 14 additional dates, featuring special guests Terri Clark and The Isaacs. The spring run will kick off March 9th in Jacksonville and will conclude at NYC’s Madison Square Garden, marking Reba’s first time playing the iconic venue.
