  • JORDAN DAVIS WAS ALMOST TOO LATE TO TULANE INSTEAD OF TUCSON.

Jordan Davis is closing in on the top of the country charts with his latest hit, “Tucson Too Late,” which he wrote with his brother Jacob Davis and brothers Josh and Matt Jenkins, the same dream team behind “Buy Dirt.” However, he recently revealed the song could’ve been called “Tulane Too Late,” but thanks to Google, they got “Tucson Too Late.”

“Initially it was Tulane Too Late. I was thinking they were talking about the highway, like a two-lane highway,” recalls Jordan. “It turns out they were talking about the University of New Orleans, Tulane. So, then I just said, ‘Alright, this is way too confusing. We’ve got to fix this.’ So, (laughs) we googled T towns (laughs), and the first one that popped up was Tucson. So, there we go—‘Tucson Too Late.’”

In between dates on his own headlining Damn Good Time Tour, he’s also direct support for Luke Combs on several of his stadium dates, including one this Saturday (May 11th) at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.

  • MADDIE & TAE CELEBRATE THE FIVE-YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF “DIE FROM A BROKEN HEART” WITH AN ACOUSTIC PERFORMANCE.

Maddie & Tae are celebrating the fifth anniversary of their No. 1 song, “Die From a Broken Heart,” with an acoustic version of the song.

Back when they released the song to country radio, Maddie & Tae talked about writing “Die From a Broken Heart” based on a real-life situation.

“We wrote ‘Die from a Broken Heart’ two weeks after an actual break up that I had gone through,” said Tae. “But I’m so, I don’t know. It’s hard for me to really dig into my emotions in the midst of my emotions. I’m more of like an after the point, and then I can kind of revisit it and work through everything. But I turned off my emotions for the most part during that writing session just to look at it from a logical and practical standpoint, just so that I wasn’t a mess during writing it. But that was probably the hardest one just because I felt everything that the song says.”

Maddie added, “I knew she did not want to write a breakup song that day, but I was like ‘there’s something so special here.”

Luke Bryan (Farm Tour 2023) OC: …year after year. :24
“The beauty of Farm Tour is we’re out there on the farm. We’re helping people feed Americans. We’re giving out scholarships. You’ve got 20,000 people piling into an alfalfa field, corn field, hay field, it doesn’t matter. It’s a field. But when you put that many people out there in the Fall where the temps are kinda getting a little cool at night, nothing is more special than Farm Tour and that’s why I keep doing it year after year.”

  • KEITH URBAN RELEASES NEW SONG “GO HOME W U” WITH LAINEY WILSON.

Keith Urban has released “GO HOME W U” with Lainey Wilson, the third song released from his forthcoming album, out this fall. The up-tempo, ‘fuzzy good feeling towards all friends and strangers’ song, was “not meant to be a duet,” says Urban. So, when the CMA Entertainer of the Year Lainey Wilson signed on, the song took shape.  “GO HOME W U,” follows the release of Urban’s current single “Messed Up As Me” as well as the song “Straight Line,” released earlier this year.

    https://twitter.com/KeithUrban/status/1786381074706076120

“I wrote “GO HOME W U” in 2020 with BRELAND, Sam (Sumser) and Sean (Small),” said Urban. “We had a blast writing it. It started out as a late-night drum loop, I grabbed a bass guitar and started playing a simple recurring bass line. Before we knew it, we were writing a chorus that could be sung by any drunk person in any bar anywhere in the world.”

He adds, “A friend of mine suggested the idea of making the song a duet and I immediately thought of Lainey. Besides the fact that I love her voice, she’s got the swagger and attitude that fit so well with the song.”

“Keith has been someone in the industry I’ve taken notes from for a while now,” said Wilson. “From watching him at CMA Fest every year growing up to hearing the way he treats people up and down music row, he has taught me a lot. He’s a genuine supporter of mine and I am honored I get to continue to learn from one of the best. Getting to do a song with Keith is a notch on my belt I am very proud of.”

Keith is celebrating the release of the song by “going home” to a club setting for a special pop-up show at Dada in Dallas.
