• KASSI ASHTON RELEASES HER SINGLE, “DATES IN PICKUP TRUCKS.”

Kassi Ashton has released her single, “Dates In Pickup Trucks,” to radio. The California, Missouri singer/songwriter wrote and produced the song with Luke Laird and David Garcia. The idea for the song stemmed from a conversation with her grandmother.

“My grandma called me one day and said she went on a date with my grandpa and she was giggling, and my grandma does not giggle,” Kassi recalls. “I said, ‘What did you do on your date?’ And she said, ‘I made dinner and we packed it up in the truck, and we rode around on roads that we haven’t seen in years.’ And I giggled and got off the phone and I thought, ’Yeah, all my best dates were in pickup trucks.’”

The breezy tune takes the listener back to distant care-free memories of the past. Kassi’s unmistakable R&B influence shines throughout the song, while paired with a contrasting steel guitar creating a sound uniquely her own.

Kassi shares her excitement of releasing her debut single to country radio. “I’ve waited a very long time to say this, I’m so happy to be finally giving you my debut country radio single!” exclaims Kassi. “Dates In Pickup Trucks is meant to be sang along to, with the wheels rolling you forward and the speakers taking you back. Call your local station and tell them to play it.”

Kassi released her dynamic song, “Heavyweight,” this past October joining her previous critically acclaimed releases “California, Missouri,” “Hopeless,” “Violins,” and more released by UMG Nashville in conjunction with Interscope Records. Named “Who to Watch” by Huffington Post, The Tennessean, and radio personal her “the next big country superstar.”

“Dates In Pickup Trucks” will go for ADDS at radio on February 28th.

  • KIP MOORE OFFICIALLY RELEASES LONG-TIME FAN-FAVORITE “CRAZY ONE MORE TIME” (REVISITED); GOING FOR ADDS AT COUNTRY RADIO ON MONDAY.

Multi-PLATINUM singer/songwriter Kip Moore is making good on a long-time back and forth with his loyal fanbase, announcing he will officially go for ADDS at country radio with the fan-favorite track “Crazy One More Time” (Revisited) on Monday, January 24th.  The original version was released as an album track on Moore’s widely celebrated debut album UP ALL NIGHT, and has gone on to grow a life of its own over the past ten years. One of the most requested songs during Moore’s signature live show, the original track has been streamed over 20 million times to date. Co-written by Moore with Chris Lindsey and Aimee Mayo, Moore hit the studio to put a 2022 update on the track, available to listen on all streaming platforms today here.

For audio and liners, click here.

“The initial idea for ‘Crazy One More Time’ came about after running into someone that I hadn’t seen in years, and someone that I had a lot of history with,” shared Moore. “That’s kind of how I feel about this song right now, there is a history there, but now it has this new life sonically since we went back in the studio and recut it. This song has evolved over the years thanks to the fans. When we play it at shows the fans sing it as loud as my biggest songs, and if I don’t play it it’s the one that I get requested to play the most. I’m excited to go on this journey with this track at country radio.”

Known as “one of country’s more thoughtful artists” (Billboard), Kip Moore has toured the world earning acclaim and a rabid fanbase as an all-in performer in each setting, consistently selling out headlining shows internationally with huge followings in the U.S, the U.K, Europe, Australia and Canada. Praised by Noisey as “an uncompromising, genre-defying artist firing on all cylinders” Moore has blazed his own trail, with “a bit more Southern rock than traditional country… to be a Kip Moore fan suddenly became a marker of your having a certain refinement in your country-music taste” (Chicago Tribune). Moore first splashed into the mainstream with the double-PLATINUM “Somethin’ ‘Bout a Truck” in 2012, then followed up with three more best selling No. Ones (“Hey Pretty Girl,” “Beer Money” and “More Girls Like You”), a trio of ambitious, critically-praised albums and two gritty EPs that landed Moore on multiple “Best Of” lists. Moore recently garnered resounding acclaim for his fourth studio album, WILD WORLD. The set, co-written and co-produced by Moore, was spotlighted by critics as “especially vital; occasionally, even rare,” (Esquire) and spawned his most recent Top 15 radio single, “She’s Mine.” For more information visit kipmoore.net.

  • CHRIS STAPLETON ON 60 MINUTES: “I’M GOOD AT BEING ME ON GUITAR.”

Chris Stapleton was profiled on CBS’ 60 Minutes on Sunday (February 16th), and the cameras went behind the scenes with the Kentucky native both on the road and in Nashville. He showed off part of his guitar and musical instrument collection, as well as Nashville’s Broadway where he busked at one time.

On his distinct guitar playing, “I think I have a good sense of doing what I do. I’m probably more of a stylist than I am– somebody who can do anything.   I’m good at being me on guitar.”

The show revealed he graduated valedictorian from his high school and landed at Vanderbilt University, transferred to Kentucky and then, dropped out. Eventually, discovering his dream job: writing music. He started going to school to be a Biomedical Engineer, but quickly realized it wasn’t for him. He ran into a songwriter and really discovered that was the path he wanted to follow.

Journalist Sharyn Alfonsi asked him what he thought was a “win” for a song. He replied, “I don’t think I ever know that. The win is finishing the song. And there are a lot of songwriters who will claim that they know. “Yeah, I knew this– when we wrote this one that it was a six-week number one. And– and I was gonna get a big giant check in the mail.” I really just think those guys are full of s***. I don’t think anybody knows that. Like, you can’t–  possibly know how everybody’s gonna feel about a song that you write. That’s impossible to know. I don’t trust computer research or phone surveys or anything like that. You have to take it to the people. I trust people. And I trust people who have taste.”

Chris is currently making his way to the top of the country charts with “You Should Probably Leave” from his latest album, Starting Over.

Brothers Osborne (title Skeleton) OC: …brain going. :31
“One of the main reasons we named our record Skeletons is we feel that that song defines where we’re at in our career sonically and lyrically and defines what our band sounds like. It’s the first song that we recorded and paved the way for the rest of the record. And just the word, Skeletons, has such a really cool aesthetic and brand to it. We knew we could really have a lot of fun in terms of the art, the album art and production and stuff like that. It’s really compelling. It gets your brain going.”
