    About Mickey Guyton
Mickey Guyton was born in Arlington, Texas and began singing in church at a young age. She was drawn to a variety of artists with big voices including Dolly Parton, Cece Winans, Whitney Houston and LeAnn Rimes. After signing to Capitol Records Nashville, Mickey’s first appearance was an all-star concert at the White House captured by PBS. In 2015 she released her self-titled EP featuring her debut single “Better Than You Left Me.” The following year she was nominated for her first Academy of Country Music Award for New Female Vocalist. Mickey returned to the ACM Awards in 2019 performing “I’m Standing With You” from the BREAKTHROUGH movie soundtrack alongside Chrissy Metz, Carrie Underwood, Lauren Alaina and Maddie & Tae. This last year, Mickey performed her first solo ACM Awards performance of “What Are You Gonna Tell Her?” with labelmate Keith Urban’s accompaniment on piano.  The performance, which HITS called “…a Whitney Houston/Beyoncé power-vocal rendition of the glass-ceiling reckoning…” was named one of the best performances of the night. Mickey released her EP, Bridges, on September 11, which includes “What Are You Gonna Tell Her?”, hailed by Variety as “country music’s song of the year”, as well as, “Black Like Me,” a song Mickey co-wrote in March 2019 at a cross-genre writing camp. Due to demand, “Black Like Me” was released in June and was named one of the Top 5 songs of 2020 by NPR. Mickey recently made history as the first Black female solo artist to earn a GRAMMY nomination in a country category (Best Country Solo Performance) for “Black Like Me.” Her latest single “Heaven Down Here” was written in recent months as a plea to God to spare a little love for this world in need. • MULTI-PLATINUM ENTERTAINER DIERKS BENTLEY LIVES OUT THE AGONY OF HEARTBREAK IN NEW MUSIC VIDEO FOR “GONE” – OUT NOW.

Award winning singer/songwriter Dierks Bentley continues the momentum of his new single “Gone” with the release of its official music video today (12/10) through PEOPLE and Entertainment Weekly. Off to a huge start at radio, the video finds Bentley hitting rock bottom as his own life plays out before him through iconic television scenes where each one is worse than the previous. “Gone” is available at all digital retailers here.

“It just always ends poorly for me in this video,” said Bentley. “I definitely had a lot more fun making it than it looks though…we got to film a bunch of scenes inspired by some of my favorite shows like The Office, MacGyver, Game Of Thrones and Full House. And I got to collaborate with some new directors I’ve never worked with, so I left at the end of a really long day feeling really happy and inspired about a kind of sad song.”

Watch the “hilarious” (PEOPLE) music video for “Gone” available everywhere here: https://umgn.us/DBGoneVideo

The music video for “Gone” was shot in Nashville in November and produced by Lora Criner, Angie Lorenz and J.R Wilson, directed by Wes Edwards, Ed Pryor, Travis Nicholson, Running Bear and Sam Siske with animation by Skylar Wilson. It finds Bentley watching TV in agony while also taking on nearly every character he encounters on his TV screen from MacGyver to an infomercial host.

Bentley continues to be a dominant voice for the genre with over 6.4 billion streams. Reaching a new creative high while “making music designed to challenge” (New York Times), Bentley co-wrote 10 of 13 tracks on his last album THE MOUNTAIN, which earned him the highest debut sales of his career and became his seventh chart-topping release. Bentley has amassed countless nominations from the ACMs, CMAs, Billboard Music Awards and more while also earning 14 GRAMMY  nominations. • Lauren Alaina Partners with PEOPLE.com For Video Premiere of Her Duet “What Do You Think Of?” Featuring Lukas Graham.

Multi-Platinum-selling No. 1 singer-songwriter Lauren Alaina has partnered with PEOPLE.com for the world premiere of “What Do You Think Of?,” her duet with Danish pop sensation Lukas Graham from her current Getting Over Him EP. PEOPLE.com hosted the world premiere HERE.

    YouTube
hosted a live chat with both Alaina and Graham today at 12 Noon, Central HERE.

The video “What Do You Think Of?”, directed by TK McKamy, to date marks the largest-scale Virtual Production (VP) shoot for a music video in the world – a major filmmaking achievement where the paths of video game industry and filmmaking converge. Major Hollywood studios have begun adopting some form of VP in high-budget series like Disney’s “The Mandalorian” and HBO’s “Westworld.”

The video features Alaina believably traveling through the seasons of her past relationship, manifested into four surreal environments: her bedroom, Smoky Mountains, a red-door bar, and a backyard campout. Logistically, director McKamy was able to unite both Alaina and Graham (who filmed his part in Denmark), separated by the Atlantic Ocean and COVID-19 travel restrictions to perform a duet in these worlds. With the Virtual Production approach, instead of the use of green screens, McKamy and his team built a 40 ft x15x12 ft curved LED volume which fully immersed Alaina and Graham in these four surreal memories. As of today, “What Do You Think Of” is the largest scale pop-up virtual production music video in the world.

The emotional duet “What Do You Think Of?”  shot up the iTunes chart hitting No. 1 on iTunes country and No. 4 on the all-genre chart. “What Do You Think Of?” continues to rise on the Radio Disney Country and Sirius XM’s The Highway chart.

The Georgia native’s upcoming appearances include an invitation to perform on next Saturday’s special Christmas-themed Grand Ole Opry (December 19) which will also feature Lady A and Kelsea Ballerini. Tickets are onsale now at Opry.com. Their performances will air live during the Opry’s one-hour television broadcast, Opry Live, on Circle at 8:00-9:00 PM CT, as well as live on 650 WSM-AM and Sirius XM: Willie’s Roadhouse.

The rising superstar can also be seen throughout the month of December as the host of Musician on Call’s (MOC) “I’m On Call for Tennessee” virtual concert, which includes performances by Darius Rucker, Jon Pardi, Maddie & Tae, Priscilla Block and Kylie Morgan. The concert will be available to healthcare facilities statewide for patients and staff to enjoy throughout the month of December through MOC’s Virtual Bedside Performance Program. MOC is a non-profit that brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities.

She is also part of the Gaylord Hotels Christmas Special “SO. MUCH. CHRISTMAS.” where she performs the Christmas classic “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree.” The special airs in December on Circle TV. Check local listings for dates/times

Alaina continues as host of the new weekly Circle TV series, Jesus Calling: Stories of Faith, the inspirational series, based off the namesake book Jesus Calling ® (Thomas Nelson).

  • CHRISTMAS 2020: Brandon Lay

Brandon Lay and his wife Nicole are parents to two-year-old Ryder and nearly seven-month old Lara June, so this year’s Christmas holiday will be extra special with two little ones.

Brandon recalls his favorite Christmas gift that he still uses today. “My favorite Christmas present is a Craftsman toolbox that my Mom got for me. I think I was 17? And I love it, because I’ll have it forever and pass it down and any time I get downtime and get that time to tinker with stuff, I think of her. So, that’s the one that stands out the most.”

During his time at home, he and his family are certain to catch his favorite Christmas movie, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, at least once or twice.

Brandon and his wife cover “Tennessee Christmas.” Check out the video they released last year featuring baby Ryder.

  • CHRISTMAS 2020: Lauren Alaina

Lauren Alaina released her own version of the holiday classic, “O Holy Night,” a few years ago. She loves Christmas music so much she’d like to some day release a full album of holiday songs. She has a few favorite songs that she’d have to include on the collection. “I have a few favorites. It’s like a fast favorite actually. Surprisingly is ‘Oh Santa’ by Mariah Carey. I jam to that, girl. I mean I am crazy about that song,” says Lauren. “And I also like ‘O Holy Night,’ like when I just want to really sing and kind of get in the Christmas spirit. It was my grandmother’s favorite, one of her favorites. My grandmother loved Christmas.”

When it comes to her favorite holiday movies, she can’t pinpoint just one. “Oh gosh! I have so many favorite Christmas movies, but I usually like the funny ones like The Grinch and Elf,” declares Lauren. “I don’t know. I like all of it. It’s so hard to pick. I love Christmas.”

Lauren’s favorite Christmas gift would have to be the reason for the season. When she was a little girl, she really wanted a Bible with her name on it, just like her parents had. “My favorite Christmas gift I’ve ever been given, gosh, that’s so hard to pick, but my Mom and Dad had their names on the front of their Bibles, and I was so jealous of that as a kid. So, I begged my Mom to get me a Bible that had my name on it, and she actually got this Bible that you design the whole thing yourself. And she designed this Bible for me and it had my name on it and I still have it, and it’s one of my favorite gifts I’ve ever been given.”

As for her favorite Christmas gift as a child, Lauren goes back to the time Santa Claus brought her a Barbie bicycle, and she felt like she was in charge. “My favorite Christmas memory is when I got my Barbie bike when I was six years old, and I thought I ruled the world because it had a horn and it had Barbie’s picture on it.”

  • CHRISTMAS 2020: Caylee Hammack

Caylee Hammack pretty much owes her music career to Buddy, the Elf. She says Elf, starring Will Ferrell, is her favorite Christmas movie, because she started singing “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” and her dad thought she had a great voice.

“That is the whole reason I started singing was that song,” Caylee recalls. “I was leaning up against the kitchen island when they played ‘Baby, It’s Cold Outside’ in the movie, Elf, and I was singing along to it. I was 13 when it came out. And my dad said, ‘Caylee, you can actually sing.’ I was like, ‘No, don’t make fun of me.’ We were always tease each other, so I thought he was teasing me.’ And he’s like, ‘No, Caylee, I think you should try it,’ and that’s when I signed up for this little talent show in my hometown and I completely embarrassed myself. I sang, ‘I Will Survive,’ and I froze on the first lines – ‘At first I was afraid, I was p-pe-pet-petrified.’ And completely flunked it, but the whole reason I tried out for it is because my dad heard me singing in the kitchen to ‘Baby, It’s Cold Outside’ in the Elf movie. So, Elf is probably my favorite Christmas movie.”

The ever-crafty and creative Caylee recalls her favorite Christmas present one year. “My favorite Christmas present was my mom and dad gave me an art table that had a light underneath it so I could trace things, and I had a place for all my markers and shelves for all my paper and I was just so excited. I was so excited. So, I got a craft table and they wrapped everything that year in Hello Kitty wrapping paper. Yup! That was my favorite Christmas.”

For Carrie Underwood, Christmas has always been a holiday filled with family, faith, gratitude, and music. It’s the most wonderful time of the year, set to a soundtrack of carols and hymns. Season after season, those songs never fail to strike a chord… especially during challenging times.

My Gift, Underwood’s highly-anticipated, first full-length collection of Christmas classics and new holiday-inspired originals, couldn’t have arrived at a better time. Mostly written and entirely recorded during the 2020 health pandemic that brought the world to an unexpected and extended halt, it’s a timely reminder of the many things still worth celebrating. With guest appearances by John Legend (who appears on “Hallelujah,” a gorgeous duet co-written by the “All of Me” chart-topper with Toby Gad), Isaiah Fisher (Underwood’s 5 year-old son, who joins her for a very special rendition of “Little Drummer Boy”), and a full orchestra led by legendary conductor David Campbell, My Gift is a personal and inspirational album that celebrates not only the larger-than-life power of Underwood’s vocals and songwriting gifts, but also a reminder of the many things we can be grateful for this holiday season.

Underwood has many reasons to be thankful this year. Since kickstarting her career as the winner of American Idol’s 2005 season, she’s become a multi-media superstar whose milestones include 64 million records sold, 27 #1 hit songs, seven platinum-certified records, a New York Times best-selling book, 12 years as a member of the Grand Ole Opry, and more than 100 major awards (including seven Grammys, 15 ACM Awards including three for Entertainer of the Year (the first female in history to win twice and, as of 2020, the only female ever to win three times), 20 CMT Awards where she holds the record for the most award wins ever for the show, 7 CMA Awards, and 15 American Music Awards). One of the best-selling artists of the 21st century, Underwood has maintained a reputation as a leader in the industry, inspiring and lifting up emerging artists, and supporting women as she did with the all-female lineup for her 2019 Cry Pretty Tour 360.

It was during the final weeks of The Cry Pretty Tour 360 that she began pulling together plans for a Christmas record. As 2019 gave way to 2020, a global health crisis only strengthened her resolve to create an album that emphasized reverence and optimism.

“Now, more than ever, we all need to focus on what Christmas is about,” says Underwood, who worked with many of the album’s collaborators — including her co-writers and her Grammy-winning producer Greg Wells — via a series of Zoom sessions. “Even though it has been a tough year in so many ways, sometimes I feel like the greatest realizations can come at the worst times, or in the most stressful times, and it makes you more thankful for the things you do have.”

  • TAYLOR SWIFT TO DROP NEW RECORD, evermore, TONIGHT.

This morning, Taylor Swift surprised her fans with an announcement on her socials of a new record, which features 15 new songs, coming out tonight (December 10th).

She says, “I’m elated to tell you that my 9th studio album, and folklore’s sister record, will be out tonight at midnight eastern. It’s called evermore. To put it plainly, we just couldn’t stop writing songs. To try and put it more poetically, it feels like we were standing on the edge of the folklorian woods and had a choice: to turn and go back or to travel further into the forest of this music. We chose to wander deeper in. I’ve never done this before. In the past I’ve always treated albums as one-off eras and moved onto planning the next one after an album was released. There was something different with folklore. In making it, I felt less like I was departing and more like I was returning. I loved the escapism I found in these imaginary/not imaginary tales. I loved the ways you welcomed the dreamscapes and tragedies and epic tales of love lost and found into your lives. So I just kept writing them. And I loved creating these songs with Aaron Dessner, Jack Antonoff, WB, and Justin Vernon. We’ve also welcomed some new (and longtime) friends to our musical kitchen table this time around…”

The “betty” singer also revealed that she would be dropping a new music video for a song titled “willow.”

“Tonight the story continues, as the music video for “willow” drops at midnight eastern. I’m forever grateful to the following creatives who have helped and guided me to be able to direct my own videos: Cinematographer Rodrigo Prieto, producer Jil Hardin, 1st AD Joe ‘Oz’ Osbourne, Co-1st AD Ev Salomon, Exec Producer Rebecca Skinner, editor Chancler Haynes, set designers Ethan Tobman and Regina Fernandez and visual effects geniuses Grant Miller and David Lebensfeld. Thank you to our medical inspector who made sure every precaution was taken for our safety. I’ll see you guys in the YouTube premiere page chat before midnight to answer some questions 🧙‍♀️

As she nears her 31st birthday on December 13th, she is giving her fans a “birthday gift” of a new album. “Ever since I was 13, I’ve been excited about turning 31 because it’s my lucky number backwards, which is why I wanted to surprise you with this now. You’ve all been so caring, supportive and thoughtful on my birthdays and so this time I thought I would give you something! I also know this holiday season will be a lonely one for most of us and if there are any of you out there who turn to music to cope with missing loved ones the way I do, this is for you. There are 15 tracks on the standard edition of evermore, but the deluxe physical edition will include two bonus tracks – “right where you left me” and “it’s time to go” ⌛️ All *digital downloads* of the album will include an exclusive, digital booklet with 16 brand new photos. You can pre-order evermore now at https://taylor.lnk.to/evermorealbum
