• DAVID NAIL DISHES IT UP. (AUDIO)

Being a songwriter and having an incredible voice to sing those songs, David Nail can be a pretty romantic guy and what some would call a Renaissance Man, however, picking up around the house may not necessarily be his forte in life.

“We moved into a little bit of a bigger house, so we have beds in every room, and they kind of serve as places to put stuff on for me,” says David. “I’ll walk by and I’ll see a coat there, or I’ll see a pair of jeans, and I’m like, I need to fold that, or I need to put that on a hanger and put it in the closet, but I’ll just…find something else that I need to do more and keep procrastinating and three days later, it’s still sittin’ there.”

While he may not be good at picking up, he’s pretty proud of having loaded and unloaded the dishwasher at his home recently, even though he didn’t get the response he wanted from his wife, Catherine.

“I consciously had to force myself to do this, but I unloaded the dishwasher and then reloaded it, and then unloaded it again. And, I was so proud of myself. I mean, you’d have thought that I had spent three hours working,” says the Missouri native. “I couldn’t even wait for her to get in the door and figure it out herself. I had to call her when she got off work, and say, ‘You’re not gonna’ believe this, I unloaded the dishwasher.’ Like, I couldn’t even wait for it to be a surprise. And, I remember I got a little upset because she wasn’t quite as thrilled and proud of me as I wanted. I guess I wanted her to come in and do cart wheels, but it was a big thing for me. I’m still living off that.”

David is hitting the airwaves with his latest single, “Kiss You Tonight,” which is from his brand new album, I’m a Fire.

The Missouri native is performing several shows at the annual music conference, South-By-Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Texas, and he’s set to be the first-ever country artist to perform on an Rdio Session to be held on Thursday (March 13th) at the Driskill Hotel.

The other day, it was so funny ‘cause I consciously had to force myself to do this, but I unloaded the dishwasher and then reloaded it, and then unloaded it again. And, I was so proud of myself. I mean, it was so simple, but it just…something you hate doing or don’t like doing, and I remember I couldn’t even wait for her to get in the door and figure it out herself. • LUKE BRYAN GETS THE CHILLS WRITING SPRING BREAK SONGS. (AUDIO)

Luke Bryan released his new Spring Break…Live We Ain’t Ever EP on Tuesday (March 11th), and he’s in the middle of a two-show stand at the Spinnaker’s Beach Club in Panama City Beach, Florida. Luke wrote some of the Spring Break songs when it was subzero weather outside, but says it helped get him in the right frame of mind for coming up with ideas. “We’re always writing the songs like in January, and a couple of the tracks, we wrote up in Iowa on a deer-hunting trip and it was negative 18,” says the reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year. “When you’re writing Spring Break songs and it’s negative 18, it does help you get in the mood and get in the spirit of Spring Break.”

Luke will take fans behind-the-scenes of the making of his new Spring Break 6 EP, Like We Ain’t Ever, in a new CMT special airing Saturday (March  15th) at 2pm ET.

Luke, who has just released his new single “Play It Again,” is gearing up once again to co-host the ACM Awards with his buddy, Blake Shelton. The 49th Annual ACM Awards will be broadcast live from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas April 6th at 8pm ET/PT on CBS.

Spring Break 6…Like We Ain’t Ever Track List:

  • LUKE BRYAN HEADS TO THE BEACH FOR SPRING BREAK 2014. (AUDIO AND VIDEO)

Luke Bryan returns to Panama City, Florida to put on his annual Spring Break concert at the Spinnaker Beach Club on Tuesday (March 11th) and Wednesday (March 12th). He’ll perform songs from his new Spring Break 6…Like We Ain’t Ever EP, as well as from last year’s full Spring Break album, Here to Party, and probably a slew of his No. 1 hits. Luke loves performing for the scores of kids having a good time on the beach away from mid-terms and all-night study sessions during Spring Break, and he says watching them takes him back to his own fun-filled days in Panama City.

“Everybody down there is all wrapped up in the time of their life,” says Luke. “I revert back to how much fun I had in those years and those days. I think there’s just the energy coming off of everybody of being young – young and wild and free, I guess. So, it’s pretty amazing to be down there and get to play some music and have fun.”

Luke’s new Spring Break 6…Like We Ain’t Ever EP is available on iTunes beginning Tuesday (March 11th).

“I’ve had Spring Breaks that are the best and the worst. I had one Spring Break that started off just typical – fighting on the beach with other neighboring counties, and then I got a phone call about five-thirty in the morning and my niece, my first niece, Jordan, was [on the way]. So, I had to drive through the night, my truck broke down. It was quite a pilgrimage, but I made it before Jordan was born, so that was probably the best Spring Break.”

  • LADY ANTEBELLUM FOLLOW THEIR ‘COMPASS’ TO NO. 1. (AUDIO)

Lady Antebellum’s “Compass” has taken over the top spot on both the Country Aircheck and Billboard country singles charts. This is the band’s eighth single to land at No. 1. Jason Aldean’s “When She Says Baby” is No. 2, followed by Dierks Bentley’s “I Hold On” at No. 3.

“Compass” has multiple meanings for Lady A’s Hillary Scott, but when she’s on stage singing the song, she thinks of daughter Eisele first and foremost. “It made me think of my daughter,” says Hillary. “It’s so fresh me being a mother now and having her and wanting her, as she grows up, to dream big and to go after those dreams, but to always know that she’ll never be alone. She’s got a soft place to fall at home.”

However, she also sees “Compass” as an empowering song, as well. “It’s following your heart. Your heart is your compass, and if you’re following it, you’re always going to be happy because you’re gonna be doing what you’re meant to do.”

Lady A recorded the smash hit last summer after they had already released their Golden album, and they believed in the song so much that they put out a Deluxe Edition of Golden to include that song, plus 5 other songs.

The trio is nominated for four ACM Awards, including Vocal Group of the Year and Single, Song and Vocal Event of the Year for “Wagon Wheel” with pal Darius Rucker. The 49th Annual ACM Awards will be broadcast live from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas April 6th at 8pm ET/PT on CBS.

    Lady A (Compass) 3 OC: …within yourself. :43
“I think what struck me so much with this song is the lyrics, you know? It’s really a positive message. It made me think of my daughter. It’s so fresh me being a mother now and having her and wanting her, as she grows up, to dream big and to go after those dreams, but to always know that she’ll never be alone. She’s got a soft place to fall at home. And so, that’s who I think of, you know? It’s also an empowering song. It’s following your heart. Your heart is your compass, and if you’re following it, you’re always going to be happy because you’re gonna be doing what you’re meant to do. So, I love that too. It can be about a person, a friend, a parent, a child, whoever, a spouse, but it can also be about you and the power within yourself.”

  • LUKE BRYAN IS READY TO HIT SPRING BREAK ‘LIKE HE AIN’T EVER!’ (AUDIO)

Luke Bryan is ready to release his new Spring Break 6…Like We Ain’t Ever EP on Tuesday (March 11th), and the title track comes from a phrase he probably heard during his college years. “You’ve heard the saying, ‘Let’s party tonight like we ain’t ever,’ and that’s kind of the basis of it,” says Luke. “I’d originally just written the song just casually as a party song, and we had some summertime references in there, so we just changed the summertime stuff into springtime stuff and made it a fun Spring Break song.”

Luke will once again play two free concerts at Spinnaker’s Beach Club in Panama City, Florida on March 11th and 12th for the sixth consecutive year. Last year’s shows saw a 2-day crowd total of 120,000 fans.

Luke’s previous five Spring Break releases have sold over 750k copies.  Last year’s album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country sales chart and earning him his first No. 1 album on Billboard’s Top 200 chart, selling 149,515 units its first week.

  • LADY ANTEBELLUM IS FOLLOWING THEIR ‘COMPASS’ STRAIGHT TO THE TOP. (AUDIO)

Lady Antebellum’s “Compass” is poised to top the country singles charts very soon. They recorded the smash hit last summer after they had already released their Golden album in May, and they believed in the song so much that they put out a Deluxe Edition of Golden in November to include that song, plus 5 other songs.

Lady A’s Charles Kelley says the band can truly relate to the song, just like their fans. “I think the song hits really close to myself, and I know Dave [Haywood], both moved from kinda the normal job circuit (DAVE: “Leap of faith.”). Yeah, leap of faith and took a chance and kind of followed our hearts and moved to Nashville. It was the best decision we ever made,” says Charles. “Our families, though, were there and very encouraging; you know that line, ‘You’ll never be alone.’ And also, ‘Walk, instead of run.’ It’s kind of like, ‘Settle into it.’ You don’t have to chase after it, and I think some people try so hard. It’s like, just let yourself settle in to what you know is what you do best in this world and believe in yourself and let it all happen.”
