JENNIFER NETTLES RELEASES HER SOLO SINGLE AND SCHEDULED TO DEBUT HER LIVE PERFORMANCE OF ‘THAT GIRL’ ON ‘GOOD MORNING AMERICA.’ (PRESS RELEASE)
Nashville, TN (August 19, 2013) – Mercury Records recording artist Jennifer Nettles released her new single “That Girl” today to Country radio. Nettles co-wrote the single, about a girl who has been bamboozled by a man who is in a relationship with another woman, with fellow Georgian Butch Walker. On Tuesday, August 20th, Jennifer will kick off a string of television appearances with the debut live performance of “That Girl” on ABC’s Good Morning America. She will also perform the single on Live with Kelly & Michael (September 3rd) and NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (September 10th). Also, on August 20th, “That Girl” will be available for purchase at all digital retailers. “’That Girl’ could be called The Ballad of Jolene,” shares Nettles. “Butch and I didn’t start out with that concept but it evolved throughout the writing process and this could be Jolene calling to say ‘I don’t want your man and I don’t want to be that girl.’” This is the first single from Nettles highly anticipated debut solo album produced by Rick Rubin which will be released in early 2014. The album was recorded at the famous Shangri-La Studios in Malibu, California. “This song sounds like a Rick Rubin track,” explains Nettles. “He is very much a rhythm track guy. The claps with a delay on this single were inspired by listening to ‘Cecilia’ by Simon & Garfunkel.” -

Luke Bryan has partnered with Target to offer an exclusive deluxe edition of his new album, Crash My Party, which features four additional songs, including “Your Mama Should Have Named You Whiskey.” Luke says the title of the song pretty much tells it like it is. “We all know how rough whiskey can be on you, and I’ll just say this guy is getting burned pretty good by her,” says Luke. “It’s [a] cool, really cool song. I love the style. It’s kind of got that classic verse, and then when the chorus kicks in, it’s just a big ole in your face rock and then drops down to that cool open kind of chilled out dancing cheek-to-cheek thing.”

DIERKS BENTLEY RELEASES HIS LATEST SINGLE, ‘I HOLD ON.’ (PRESS RELEASE & AUDIO)
Nashville, TN – August 12, 2013 – Award-winning singer/songwriter Dierks Bentley released the driving new single “I Hold On” to country radio today in advance of his upcoming seventh studio album RISER. Written by Bentley and Brett James, the song deftly pins spiritual questions to material symbols and is delivered with a building vocal intensity that reassures the listener that each lyric is more personal than the last. “If you asked me to sum myself up in three minutes, I’d play ‘I Hold On’ for you. At first listen, you might think it’s about my truck or my guitar, but it’s really about why I do some of the things I do and the kind of guy I am,” explains Bentley. “The chorus is really universal…it’s about faith, love and freedom…I don’t think there’s a country fan out there who doesn’t live with those as big priorities. I hope through this song I’m able to let the fans into my heart and my mind a little more, and that they can also relate it back to themselves and their own lives.” Seven albums into one of country music’s most respected and most unpredictable careers, award-winning singer/songwriter Dierks Bentley continues to grow. His latest evolution comes in the form of RISER, a project that stands as his most personal to date. Written and recorded in the year following his father’s death, the album draws its title from “I’m A Riser,” a song about resilience and determination. The tone of the album demonstrates a new artistic depth and an extra level of intensity for Bentley. It evolves from track to track, exuding a range of emotions, all the while impressing upon the listener that Bentley’s instinct for a hit is stronger than ever. Before the release of the anticipated new project, Bentley will finish out the Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley: Locked & Reloaded Tour through October.
