  • DIERKS BENTLEY ANNOUNCES ‘COUNTRY & COLD CANS 2012’ TOUR!

20-City Tour Kicks Off April 13 In Los Angeles with Special Guest Eli Young Band and Will Hoge

and The Cadillac Black in Select Markets

Nashville, TN – Jan. 30, 2012 – Multi-Platinum singer/songwriter Dierks Bentley announced today that he will bring his Country & Cold Cans Tour back to the U.S. this spring with 20 cities to be announced in the coming weeks.  Republic Nashville’s Eli Young Band will rejoin Bentley for the run, along with a combination of Will Hoge and The Cadillac Black in the opening slot. The tour kicks off in Los Angeles on April 13 at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live with tickets for the first show going on sale Fri., Feb 10.  Other dates and on-sales will roll out by market over the coming weeks.

“Country & Cold Cans was such a great tour last fall…it’s just way too much fun to stop and we knew we had to continue it into the spring and make another run across the U.S. when we get home from Canada and Australia.  We’re even going to Alaska…giving new meaning to COLD cans,” laughed Bentley.   “I’m excited that EYB is coming out with us again…great dudes and they put on a killer show.  I’m also a big fan of both The Cadillac Black and Will Hoge, so I’m looking forward to watching their sets every night.”

Bentley is currently gearing up for the release of his sixth studio album HOME on Feb. 7. The new album’s anthemic second single and title track received an ACM nomination for Song Of The Year last week and is pushing its way up the Top 10 of the radio charts.  Billboard noted that the song is “Maybe his strongest lyrical statement to date, the single reminds us of a late 70s Haggard track — the ultimate compliment.  The past few years have seen some of the best work of his career, and this is another example.”  The lead single “Am I The Only One” already peaked in the No. one spot and has been certified GOLD.  Bentley’s earlier albums have earned him eight No. one hits, over five million total album sales and 10 GRAMMY nominations.

Eli Young Band’s “Crazy Girl,” has been certified PLATINUM with sales of over 1.4 million downloads and was named Billboard’s No. one Country Song of The Year. The band has performed the hit on Late Show With David Letterman, The Tonight Show With Jay Leno and the ACA Awards. LIFE AT BEST made its debut at No. three on the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart and No. six on the Billboard 200.  It came in at No. one on the iTunes Country Albums Chart and No. two on the iTunes All Genre chart.

Critically acclaimed Nashville singer/songwriter Will Hoge’s seventh studio album, aptly titled NUMBER SEVEN, explores the struggles of the heart that are Hoge’s songwriting stock in trade while revealing enticing range and freshness on the sonic front. The Philadelphia Inquirer noted its “raw, impassioned power,” while the Chicago Sun-Times called it “a rich, textured album.” For the past 10 years, Hoge has maintained a rigorous touring schedule, building his fan base by playing hundreds of shows a year.  Hoge recently made his late night TV debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

The Cadillac Black like to refer to their sound as “Country Fuzz.” It’s a little bit country, a little bit rock & roll and a whole lot of whiskey soaked fun. On stage TCB bring a high energy show that will make your feet stomp, your beers pop and your heart skip a beat. Their debut album will be out in the spring of 2012, but has already had six songs featured in TV shows prior to its release including FOX’s “House,” CW’s “Hart of Dixie” and “Vampire Diaries.”

  • LUKE BRYAN SPENDS A SECOND WEEK AT NO. 1!!! (AUDIO)

Luke Bryan’s “I Don’t Want This Night to End” spends a second week at No. 1 on the Mediabase/Country Aircheck chart. Not only does Luke love the story of the song that he co-wrote, but he also really digs the unusual melody of “I Don’t Want This Night to End.” “A buddy of mine kind of said it best. He said, ‘Luke, it sounds, you know, a track, it’s like The Cure or something,’” recalls Luke. “It’s probably the furthest I’ve went from a country-sounding track ever. It’s really not a country track. But then you got my old country voice on it, and that’ll simmer down the most-craziest of tracks.”

    • “I Don’t Want This Night to End” is the latest single from Luke’s gold-certified album, tailgates & tanlines.
    • He’s out on the My Kinda Party 2012 Tour with his buddy, Jason Aldean. Their next stop is Thursday (February 2nd) in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

AUDIO: Luke Bryan says the melody of his latest No. 1 hit, “I Don’t Want This Night to End,” is a bit out of the norm for him.

Luke Bryan (melody of Night) OC: …behind it. :29

“I love the melody of [hums], I mean, all that melody is just really kind of cool there. A buddy of mine kind of said it best. He said, ‘Luke, it sounds, you know, a track, it’s like The Cure or something.’ It’s probably the furthest I’ve went from a country-sounding track ever. It’s really not a country track. But then you got my old country voice on it and that’ll simmer down the most craziest of tracks. So it’s fun to have that kind of music behind it.”

  • DIERKS BENTLEY FLIES THE FRIENDLY SKIES. (AUDIO)

Dierks Bentley works hard, but he also plays hard. When he’s off the road, not in the studio and not being Dad, you might find him sporting ice skates playing with his hockey team, The Iceholes, riding the highways on his motorcycle…or in the air piloting a plane. What? Yes, the “Home” singer has his pilot’s license and enjoys meandering through the clouds on a rare day off. “It’s something I started off doing like fifteen years ago, but it was expensive and time consuming. It took me like three years to get my pilot’s license, although I soloed after like seven hours,” Dierks explains. “I really did enjoy it. It just took a while to get the license…the last fifteen years, I’ve had to focus really on music. But I had about a month off between last year’s tour and recording and getting ready to go back out again, and I just really got into it and spent the last of my little time off just letting a different part of my brain get used.”

    • Dierks is getting ready to release his new album, Home, on February 7th. The collection includes his latest Top 10 hit and title cut, “Home.”

AUDIO: Dierks Bentley talks about getting his pilot’s license.

Dierks Bentley (pilot’s license) OC: …now and then. 1:10

“I just really love doing the safe things like motorcycles and airplanes and playing hockey. It’s great. It’s just a totally different – it’s something I started off doing like fifteen years ago but it was expensive and time consuming. It took me like 3 years to get my pilot’s license, although I soloed after like 7 hours. I really did enjoy it. It just took a while to get the license. But then the last fifteen years I’ve had to focus really on music. But I had about a month off between last year’s tour and recording and getting ready to go back out again, and I just really got into it and spent the last of my little time off just letting a different part of my brain get used. It’s just great. It’s really fun having a little mission to fly to a gig and I’m the kind of person who really likes driving. I like being in the driver’s seat. I can be on a big airplane and still be nervous. I don’t like being in the back not knowing what’s going on. I just like being – I guess it’s a control thing – but I do like being in control, flying things or driving things or what not. It’s just the personality I have. It’s been really fun. It’s a great feeling up there and it’s a really cool thing being able to do every now and then.”

  • DIERKS BENTLEY IS SUPER BOWL BOUND! (AUDIO)

Dierks Bentley heads to Indianapolis on Sunday to perform as part of the festivities leading up to this year’s Super Bowl matchup between the New England Patriots and the New York Giants on Sunday, February 5th. A sports fan, Dierks isn’t necessarily picking a winner (well, he’s not telling us), but he’s looking for a good game between the two titan teams. “I’m really just pulling for a great game,” says Dierks. “As a fan, I just really want to see a game that isn’t over by half-time. I want to see something that goes into the fourth quarter, maybe even deeper. It would be so cool…I was kind of pulling for this rematch in some ways. There are a lot of great story lines to play out in…this year’s playoffs.”

Dierks is getting ready to release his new studio album, Home, February 7th. It features the title track, which is currently scaling the Top 10 on the country charts.

Dierks Bentley talks about this year’s Super Bowl matchup between the New England Patriots and the New York Giants.

Dierks Bentley (Super Bowl 2012) OC: …be cool. :42

“That’s really tough. I mean, you’ve got 2 teams with great quarterbacks that have Super Bowl history between them. Tom Brady is unbelievable — won so many Super bowls. I think this is his fifth Super Bowl appearance, but the last time these two teams met, Eli won and the Giants. So, I’m really just pulling for a great game. As a fan, I just really want to see a game that isn’t over by half-time. I want to see something that goes into the fourth quarter, maybe even deeper. It would be so cool. I had a chance to be at the last meeting between these two teams in Phoenix, and saw the catch and all this stuff. So it was a great game. I was kind of pulling for this rematch in some ways. There are a lot of great story lines to play out in this particular, this year’s playoffs. But I have a feeling that…a little payback. It’s gonna be cool.”

  • LADY ANTEBELLUM HIT THE ROAD WITH THEIR ‘OWN THE NIGHT 2012 WORLD TOUR.’ (AUDIO)

Lady Antebellum are hitting the road Friday (January 27th) to kickoff their Own the Night 2012 World Tour, taking along Darius Rucker and Thompson Square. The trio have been very busy during their time off, which included a marriage AND engagement. “We’ve been off for about a month, which has probably been the longest break we’ve had since we started as a band, in all seriousness,” said Dave. “So, it’s been a fantastic break. Hillary got married and I got engaged, and Charles has been running around on 10 different vacations. [laughter] So, to get back to touring is something I know we just can’t wait for.”

If you caught one of their shows this past fall, the trio have made a few changes. “We’ve got a couple new little surprises we’re gonna throw into this set,” says Charles.”We feel like we’ve got it to a great place, and we’ve thrown in some more fun things.” What they are keeping for their arena tour is the “inner circle” where fans actually are part of the show.

The trek, which will definitely feature Lady A’s latest single “Dancin’ Away With My Heart,” kicks off Friday in Tulsa, Oklahoma, then makes stops in Des Moines, Iowa and Bloomington, Illinois. The tour has already sold more than a half-million tickets.

AUDIO: Lady Antebellum’s Dave Haywood says they’re looking forward to being on the road after a month off.

    Lady A (tour kickoff 2012) 1 OC: …the fall. :28

We’ve got Darius Rucker and Thompson Square out this year, which we’re just thrilled about. We’ve been off for about a month, which has probably been the longest break we’ve had since we started as a band, in all seriousness. So, it’s been a fantastic break. Hillary got married and I got engaged, and Charles has been running around on 10 different vacations. [laughter] No, but to get back to touring is something I know we just can’t wait for. It’s kicking off all across the U.S. and Canada, but yeah, we love what we did in the fall and this is a continuation of the tour from the fall.”

AUDIO: Lady Antebellum’s Charles Kelley and Hillary Scott talk about changing up the 2012 leg of their Own the Night just a bit.

    Lady A (tour kickoff 2012) 2 OC: (Hillary) …of the show. :21

CHARLES: We’ll change up a couple of the songs. Rehearsing last week, we got a couple new little surprises we’re gonna throw into this set. We got to really hone in the set I feel like too over the fall, and we feel like we’ve got it to a great place, and we’ve thrown in some more fun things, but…” HILLARY: “And we’ve had such great feedback with the design of the stage, you know, with the inner circle where the fans, they’re a part of the show.”
