• TYLER HUBBARD FEELS VERY STRONG ABOUT HIS NEW ALBUM.

Tyler Hubbard’s new album, Strong, drops on Friday (April 12th), and one word kept popping up while writing and recording the project.

“It kind of came organically in a funny way where we kept referring to everything, well, that’s a strong take or that’s a strong mix or man, that’s a really strong song for this next album, or that’s a strong photo or whatever,” says the Georgia native. “And as we were trying to title this project, we just kept saying that and finally, I’m just like, ‘Guys, why don’t we just call it Strong? You know, it feels like it’s overall pretty strong project. I would confidently say that I’m proud of it, and I love the heart behind the actual song and I love the depth of the word strong, so let’s just roll with that and see where it goes.’ So, it felt right.”

Tyler co-produced the project alongside Jordan Schmidt and wrote or co-wrote all 13 songs on the album, including his Top 5 hit, “Back Then Right Now.”

    Strong Tracklist:

    1. Wish You Would (Tyler Hubbard, Corey Crowder and Chris LaCorte)
    2. Park (Tyler Hubbard, Jesse Frasure, Ashley Gorley and Canaan Smith)
    3. A Lot With A Little (Tyler Hubbard, Casey Brown and Parker Welling)
    4. Night Like That (Tyler Hubbard, Andy Albert and Jordan Schmidt)
    5. Take Me Back (Tyler Hubbard, Corey Crowder and Chris LaCorte)
    6. Back Then Right Now (Tyler Hubbard, Jessie Jo Dillon, David Garcia and Geoff Warburton)
    7. Vegas (Tyler Hubbard, Andy Albert and Jordan Schmidt)
    8. Turn (Tyler Hubbard, Casey Brown and Josh Miller)
    9. American Mellencamp (Tyler Hubbard, Jaren Johnston and Jordan Schmidt)
    10. BNA (Tyler Hubbard, Chase McGill and Jordan Schmidt)
    11. Summer Talkin’ (Tyler Hubbard, Jessie Jo Dillon, Jesse Frasure and Ashley Gorley)
    12. ‘73 Beetle (Tyler Hubbard)
    13. Strong (Tyler Hubbard, Matt Dragstrem and Josh Miller)

Tyler is back on the road with Kane Brown on his In The Air Tour on Thursday (April 11th) in Kansas City, Missouri and on Friday (April 12th) in Rosemont, Illinois.

Audio / CHRIS STAPLETON SAYS HIS NEW ALBUM HIGHER HAS SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE.

    Download

Chris Stapleton (Higher album) OC: …on this record. :56
“One thing that’s probably notable about the record to me is it’s the first one that we’ve put out that doesn’t contain a cover, so there’s no covers on this record. So, in that way, I guess you could say it should be more intrinsically whatever we do. So, there’s definitely some exploration of the edges of what that is, and certainly some moments of stretching out vocally and trying to see what that is. There’s some different stuff on this record, I think, and I think it’s really great. I think it’s something that people will enjoy. I think there’s something on it for everybody, which is kind of always my goal. If you’re a kind of a hardcore traditional country person, there’s a song on there for that somewhere. If you leaned into more of the R&B side of what we do, there’s stuff on there for that. If you like the rock side of things that we do, there’s stuff on there for that. And there’s some really great songs on here. I’m excited about the songs on this record.”

Audio / At last year's ACM Awards, CHRIS STAPLETON SAYS HE'S HUMBLED BY THE PEOPLE WHO VOTED HIM ACM ENTERTAINER OF THE YEAR.

Chris Stapleton (ACM 2023 win) OC: …take it. :13
“I’m humbled by it and feel very thankful to the people that voted for me for it and think I’m deserving of that, but I’ll take it. I’ll take it.”

Audio / JORDAN DAVIS TALKS ABOUT HIS ACM NOMINATED SONG, "NEXT THING YOU KNOW."

    Download

Jordan Davis (Next Thing You Know) OC: …whole lotta people. :47
“You know, there’s no chorus to this song. And I think it’s really cool that all we do is repeat ‘Next Thing You Know’ throughout it, but when you’re trying to write songs for a, a job, not putting a chorus on it is a fast way to get it thrown into the garbage can, and I think that makes me more proud of this song in that this is what we wanted to do with it and we just wanted to be as honest as possible in how fast life goes. I remember leaving, telling somebody like when they were like, ‘Did you write today?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah.’ They said, ‘Did you get anything good?’ I was like, ‘Yeah, we wrote a song that doesn’t even have a chorus.’ And I got the look of like, ‘Well, we’ll probably never hear that one,’ and little did I know it would connect with a whole lotta people.”

Audio / Parker McCollum talks about shooting the video for "Burn It Down."

    Download

Parker McCollum (Burn It Down video) OC: …turned out great. :38
“Man, the video was pretty easy, actually. I talked to Dustin, the director, and I was like, ‘Man, I feel like wherever we are, we’re just blowing stuff up and so let’s go blow some stuff up and burn it down.’ And he had a great vision out there in New Mexico. We were in the desert, I mean, the desert, desert. You couldn’t, it was like the ocean, but sand; the middle of the ocean but sand. And it was actually really cold in the morning, then it got really hot at night and then the smoke and the fire and they’re wanting me to walk through it over and over, take after take after take. I’m walking through like this chemical burning black smoke. I’m like this is really risking it for a music video, but it turned out great.”

  • TYLER HUBBARD SET TO RELEASE NEW STRONG ALBUM THIS WEEK.

Tyler Hubbard is getting ready to release his second solo album, Strong, this Friday (April 12th), and he says that his album was created the opposite way as his self-titled debut solo album.

“I would definitely say this whole album was somewhat reverse engineered, you know? Created to play live, created from the live show, as opposed to create it and then figure out how to turn that into a show, right, into a set list,” says Tyler. “So, it was a lot of fun in that way, and I think that being last year was really the first time I got to start meeting my fans after putting out my debut album in January (2023). It was really a time of really getting to know my audience, getting to know my fans, seeing who’s coming to the shows, seeing who’s listening to my music. And I know I didn’t meet everybody, but I was really starting to get to know who my fans were, and so that really helped when it came to not only writing these songs but picking songs for this project.”

The Georgia native co-produced the project alongside Jordan Schmidt and wrote or co-wrote all 13 songs on the album, including his Top 5 hit, “Back Then Right Now.”

Tyler performs at the Grand Ole Opry on Tuesday (April 9th) and then is back on the road with Kane Brown on his In The Air Tour on Thursday (April 11th) in Kansas City, Missouri.

Audio / Tyler Hubbard says Strong was reverse engineered from the way his debut solo album was written and recorded.

  • PARKER MCCOLLUM KEEPS THE HITS COMING SCORING HIS FOURTH CONSECUTIVE #1 WITH “BURN IT DOWN.”

Parker McCollum earned his fourth consecutive No. 1 single at Country radio with his explosive hit song, “Burn It Down.” The song tops both the Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase/Country Aircheck charts this week. Written by McCollum, Hillary Lindsey, Lori McKenna and Liz Rose, the smoldering track off his most recent album, Never Enough, follows the album’s first single, the heartbreakingly vulnerable “Handle On You,” which also climbed the charts to take the #1 spot.

On Sunday, fans got to see Parker take the stage at the 2024 CMT Music Awards to perform “Burn It Down” with special guest and vocal powerhouse, Brittney Spencer. The two ignited the main stage for one of the most unforgettable performances of the evening.

  • LITTLE BIG TOWN ANNOUNCES TAKE ME HOME TOUR FOLLOWING STUNNING CMT MUSIC AWARDS PERFORMANCE OF “TAKE ME HOME” WITH TOURING SPECIAL GUEST SUGARLAND

Celebrating their 25th anniversary as one of country music’s most successful groups, multi-platinum GRAMMY® Award-winning four-piece Little Big Town – comprised of Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Phillip Sweet, and Jimi Westbrook – joined forces with longtime friends and collaborators Sugarland at last night’s CMT Music Awards to deliver a stunning world premiere performance of their new song “Take Me Home” – listen HERE. The two powerhouse groups are also set to embark on a U.S. tour titled Take Me Home Tour. See more details below.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LvJY7uhyZho

Little Big Town and Sugarland’s rendition of “Take Me Home”, originally written and released by Phil Collins in 1985, gives the song a fresh new meaning but leaves us with a familiar longing.  The performance served as a monumental homecoming for the two country music giants as they last shared the CMTMA stage in 2008 for a rousing rendition of “Life In A Northern Town.”

“Last night felt like a real homecoming for us and a full circle moment. When we toured with Sugarland last, we would all be backstage harmonizing different cover songs to try and surprise the audience every night.  There’s something about this song that feels so nostalgic of that time. It really is like coming home,” says Little Big Town. “The Take Me Home tour feels like a celebration of being a band for 25 years and we’re so excited to throw this party with our great friends Sugarland. We’ll both be playing all our biggest hits and then some. Can’t wait to see everyone!”

Fans will hear the newly released single live this fall on the Take Me Home US tour, produced by Live Nation and Sandbox Live, with special guest Sugarland and support from The Castellows. Various ticket pre-sales for the Take Me Home Tour will run throughout the week, ahead of the general sale beginning on Friday, April 12th at 10am local time at www.littlebigtown.com. The fall trek kicks off on October 24th in Greenville, SC at Bon Secours Wellness Arena and runs through December 2024, with stops in Boston, Pittsburgh, Austin, and more, before concluding on December 13th at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. The closing night is a special Nashville homecoming for the band as it’ll be their first show in town since 2017’s iconic sold-out 10-night residency at Ryman Auditorium.

The tour will also offer a variety of different VIP packages and experiences for fans to take their concert experience to the next level. Packages vary but include premium tickets, interactive Little Big Town coffee book, limited edition and autographed tour poster & more. VIP package contents vary based on offer selected. 25 never looked so good! Much more to come from Little Big Town this year – stay tuned!

  • DIERKS BENTLEY SCORES GOAL IN NHL CHARITY GAME.

Everyone knows Dierks Bentley is a big hockey fan, even playing in a local Nashville amateur hockey league (his team was named the Iceholes). So, when an NHL charity game popped up in St. Louis, he jumped at the chance to don the blue and white St. Louis Blues jersey.

Dierks was awarded a penalty shot and scored in the Blues Alumni charity hockey game to benefit cancer research. Proceeds from the game were donated to the Jimmy V Foundation to benefit cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center in St. Louis.

“(Awarding me) the penalty shot was questionable, but we’re not gonna talk about that, we’re gonna talk about the goal,” Bentley told stlouisblues.com after the game. “It was a nice little move from left to right to get him to split, so I got the five-hole goal. At first I thought maybe he was being nice and letting me have the goal, but upon further review it looks like he was actually really trying and it was a legit goal. It was pretty cool for me to score a goal in the presence of all these NHL greats – definitely a career highlight for me.”

Dierks has a few dates on the book this month before his Gravel & Gold Tour returns to the road June 7th in Fort Worth, Texas.

  • PARKER McCOLLUM HEATS UP THE CHARTS WITH HIS FOURTH NO. 1 HIT.

Parker McCollum scores his fourth No. 1 with “Burn It Down” on the country charts this week.

“‘Burn It Down’ — Liz Rose and Hilary Lindsey and Lori McKenna — better known as the Love Junkies — were coming over to my house one day and Liz got there first and she walked into the kitchen and she said, ‘What are we going to write today?’ And I said ‘Liz, I’m pretty burnt out on songwriting and the record is done so it could be anything today.’ And she said, ‘Well, don’t say that. Usually this is when you write the best songs.’ And I was like, ‘I don’t think you understand how tired I am. I really don’t want to write,’” says Parker. “But we did anyways and about ten minutes later, I sort of just out of nowhere sang the chorus for ‘Burn It Down.’ It just fell out. And everybody in the room was like ‘Dang, that’s bad ass.’ And so, I would say it’s probably the strongest song on the record and to have those three girls on a cut with me is pretty special. They’ve written some big songs together and they’ve written a lot of really good songs together. And I don’t think I never would have written this song if it wasn’t for them.”

Parker McCollum (Burn It Down) OC: …for them. :56

I really don’t want to write.’ But we did anyways and about ten minutes later, I sort of just out of nowhere sang the chorus for ‘Burn It Down.’ It just fell out.

I needed something strong. I needed a new attitude so I did what I knew to do and that was go to WWE to get strength, to get courage, to get me the proper tools to start ‘opening up a can of whoop ass’…If you told that bullied kid that he’d be singing at one of the BIGGEST WRESTLEMANIAS EVER! If you told him he’d meet Triple H and The Rock, and so many others, I’d laugh and say ‘yeah right.’ You’re never too old to see childhood dreams come true.” The Grammy-nominated duo also performed at the huge event.

  • TURN THE QUIET UP: ERIC CHURCH OPENS CHIEF’S ON NASHVILLE’S BROADWAY.

It took Eric Church and AJ Capital Partners’ founder and CEO Ben Weprin three years to reimagine and rebuild the historic building at 200 Broadway that officially opened last night as Chief’s. With a celebratory grand opening, the six-story bar, music venue and restaurant handed its keys over to the Church Choir.

“This building is a lot like the songs I write … they’re mine until I release them, and then they’re not mine anymore, they’re yours,” shares Church.

“We’re pretty good at storytelling through song, and I trusted Ben implicitly to bring what was in my heart and head for Chief’s to life as way of storytelling through space. The genesis of this place started with the vision of what the venue would be that we built the building around,” he adds of the two-story, 400-capacity Neon Steeple performance space in the heart of the building situated on floors 3 & 4.

“When I came to Nashville in search of a place to play my songs, nowhere on this strip would have me. I went to Fiddle & Steel in Printers Alley and found my tribe,” Church shared with the original neon sign illuminating the theater balcony. “So, when we started building this, it was designed to be a place to bring original music back to the heart of historic Broadway.”

Church delivered on that promise with his first-of-nineteen residency shows, the aptly titled “To Beat The Devil.” In a journey chronicling his life and career, Church Choir members — as tickets were sold only to them — were treated to a nearly two-hour set solely for their eyes and ears.

“I wanted a place I play songs that didn’t make albums — and this is the only place I’ll do a lot of these songs and share a lot of these stories. It’s a conversation in a place only for the people there.”

Chief’s ticketed music venue is accompanied by Chief’s Tavern, a first-floor additional live entertainment space papered by more than 4,000 concert posters from throughout the CMA Entertainer of the Year’s career, and the second-floor Friendly Shadows Dueling Piano Bar, accented by highly-curated décor elements. Chief’s also houses a studio for broadcasting, inclusive of Eric Church Outsiders Radio on SiriusXM, with the capability of hosting broadcasts by various media partners. With street-level windows, the studio provides fans from around the world with a thrilling behind-the-scenes experience with a front-row view of broadcasting in action.

The venue also taps into Church’s Carolina roots in partnership with Rodney Scott, whose Whole Hog BBQ – part of the Pihakis Restaurant Group – occupies the fifth and sixth floors, overlooking downtown with its ‘Hell of a Q’ rooftop location.

Just as the Tennessean proclaimed of Church’s residency show, all six stories of Chief’s itself offer the “ultimate display of the honesty, personal touches and against-the-grain actions and thinking that have defined his quarter-century in Nashville.”
