Priscilla Block has released the official music video for her new single, “My Bar,” from her debut album, Welcome To The Block Party.

Taylor Swift, who is making her way up the country charts with “I Bet You Think About Me” with Chris Stapleton, joins forces for a beautifully reimagined version of Ed Sheeran’s “The Joker And The Queen.”  Sharing a friendship that spans well over a decade, today marks Ed and Taylor’s fourth official collaboration to date, following “Everything Has Changed” (2012), “End Game” (2017) and “Run (Taylor’s Version)” (2021).

  • CHRIS STAPLETON’S “YOU SHOULD PROBABLY LEAVE” IS ENJOYING A FULL CIRCLE MOMENT.

Chris Stapleton is closing in on the top of the country charts with “You Should Probably Leave,” a song he co-wrote with tunesmiths Ashley Gorley and Chris DuBois over 10 years ago. The song was supposed to be on an earlier album which was never released, so Chris says it’s getting a “new life” on his latest album, Starting Over.

“This is a song that I probably wrote, let’s say 10 years ago, somewhere in there,” says Chris. “I don’t know the exact date of creation for this song, but I recorded an entire record that was previous to Traveller for Mercury that kind of canned and never came out and a version of this song is actually on that record. So, it’s kind of full circle for this song to reemerge. It’s getting a new life on this record.”

Prior to launching the new leg of his All-American Road Show Tour in April, Chris will headline the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo on March 17th, followed by a pair of shows at the Choctaw Casino Resort in Durant, Oklahoma on March 18th and 19th.

Mercury Nashville recording artist and ACM New Female Artist of the Year Nominee, Priscilla Block, hit another milestone in her thriving young career on Friday (Feb. 18) while joining SiriusXM’s Buzz Brainard for The Highway’s Music Row Happy Hour. In the studio to surprise Priscilla, RIAA’s Jackie Jones popped into the live broadcast saying, “I am here to do one of my favorite things – to give an artist their very first certification. I’d like to congratulate you on your first Gold record!” and presented Priscilla with a “Just About Over You” Gold Certification plaque for the hit single.

“I’m at a loss for words!” shared a stunned Priscilla. “This is because of y’all [family, friends, supporters, and fans] MY FIRST CERTIFIED GOLD SINGLE. Thank y’all for keeping music alive and continuing to buy and stream my music and letting me have a dang career doing what I love!”

Making it all the sweeter was getting to share the moment with her friends at SiriusXM, who pegged Priscilla as one of its Highway Finds back before she had fully caught the attention of Music Row.

Priscilla Block (Just About Over You) 2 OC: …how it happened. 1:07
“It is so crazy how real this happened. Honestly, I had gone to the bar, I was with my sister. I was moving out of my apartment that weekend. It was the weekend I was moving out, I basically got kicked out; I couldn’t afford my rent. We were like, ‘Let’s just go get a drink. This weekend has been too much. Let’s just go.’ Go to Losers, see my ex as soon as I walk in, and you know, it was just kind of one of those moments that I walked in, and I was like, ‘You know what? I’m good. Like I really am good.’ And then as the night goes on, the drinks start hitting a little bit, and I was like, ‘Dang, maybe I’m not.’ (laughs) The whole song is like a mental mindgame. You’re like is it the alcohol? Do I really miss them? Am I just putting a band-aid over it? What is it? How am I actually feeling about this? You know, I had written that idea down, went back home, we talked to my mom about it and whatever, and a couple of days later, we ended up writing that song over Facetime with two of my girlfriends, just exactly how it happened.”

  • MICKEY GUYTON WILL HAVE A “FULL CIRCLE MOMENT” WHEN SHE STEPS ONTO THE FIELD TO PERFORM THE NATIONAL ANTHEM AT SUNDAY’S SUPER BOWL.

Mickey Guyton is experiencing a “full circle” moment as she gets ready to perform the National Anthem at Sunday’s Super Bowl.

“When I got the call asking if I would sing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl, that was the last thing that I ever thought I would ever hear in my lifetime, and here I am getting to sing the National Anthem and getting to be on a list of great singers who have sang it,” she says. “This is such a full circle moment for me. I wanted to become a singer after I saw LeAnn Rimes sing the National Anthem at a Texas Rangers baseball game, and here I am as a grown woman that’s going to be standing on that field singing this song, and my intentions are togetherness.”

The Texas native wants to bring people together with her performance, and she added, “There’s so much divisiveness, and I just hope that everybody sees themself in this performance. That is my goal; that is where my heart is coming from and I’m just so grateful, so blessed. ”

Mickey’s full-circle moment is as a young girl and watching LeAnn Rimes sing the National Anthem at a Texas Rangers game, and she was so enthralled with the performance that she decided she wanted to be a singer. She went on to sing the National Anthem numerous times in high school that she was dubbed the “national anthem singer.” Fast-forward to years later, and she’s singing “The Star-Spangled Banner” at one of the world’s biggest stages – the Super Bowl.

You can catch Mickey, as well as the Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals, on Sunday (February 13th) beginning at 6:30pm ET/5:30pm CT on NBC or streaming live on Peacock.

With the release of her album Remember Her Name, Mickey made history as the first Black artist to earn a GRAMMY nomination for Best Country Album. The title track “Remember Her Name” also landed Mickey with GRAMMY nominations for Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance.

  • LAUREN ALAINA BECOMES A MEMBER OF THE GRAND OLE OPRY.

Multi-platinum-selling No. 1 singer/songwriter Lauren Alaina was officially inducted and welcomed as the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry tonight by her friend/mentor Trisha Yearwood. The Opry was the first major stage Alaina played just a week after she was named runner-up on Season 10 of American Idol, making her Opry debut on June 10, 2011. She has appeared on the Opry more than 50 times since.

“A lot of people love you,” said Yearwood before introducing a special video from another of Alaina’s musical heroes, Dolly Parton, welcoming her to the Opry family. “You and I have a lot in common,” said Parton via video. “We both started young, we love country music and we love the Grand Ole Opry and I’d give a million dollars if I could be there with Trisha and Garth and everyone who loves you to get you inducted into the Grand Ole Opry. I just want to wish you the best in your whole career.”

Yearwood continued “What I have gotten to observe in knowing you for the couple of years I have known you is how genuine you are. I think country music is in good hands. You are exactly the kind of artist that the Opry loves, and wants and looks for. Usually when someone gets inducted they say ‘it’s on behalf of all the members of the Grand Ole Opry,’ and I’m going to say that, but I also want to say every single person from the house band, to the crew, to who is parking cars, everybody tonight says how deserving you are and it’s about time. So on behalf of myself, all the members of the Opry, the crew and everyone who is associated with the Opry, you are now officially a member of the Grand Ole Opry, Miss Lauren Alaina.”

A tearful and emotional Alaina stood in the circle, saying “Ever since I was a little girl I dreamed of this moment. Both of my parents raised me with an appreciation for country music and all that it is, and all of the people who have come before me. I just want to say I promise to do everything I can to represent country music. I promise to represent this family well. I have felt like family here as long as I remember. Everyone at the Opry has always made me feel like family so for me to finally be officially in is the biggest dream come true of all time. Most little girls dreamed of their wedding; I dreamed of this. God Bless you guys and God bless country music.”

Yearwood surprised Alaina before their performance of  Yearwood’s classic “Walkaway Joe” introducing her husband, Garth Brooks, to the stage to play guitar for them.

“We’re all thrilled to add an artist of Lauren’s caliber and a personality we all love to the Opry’s ranks,” said Dan Rogers, Opry executive producer. “Anyone in the audience or tuned in tonight could easily see it’s going to be a great marriage for decades to come.”

Alaina’s Opry induction was also seen on the Opry’s television broadcast home, Circle Network, and as part of its Saturday night Opry Live livestream on Circle All Access Facebook, Twitter and YouTubeIt was heard on opry.com and wsmonline.comSiriusXM: Willie’s Roadhouse, and the show’s flagship radio home, WSM Radio.

Lauren Alaina (becoming a member of the GOO) OC: …really proud. 1:15
“I’ve been told since I was a little girl how important the Grand Ole Opry is to country music, and obviously, all I’ve ever wanted is to be a family member in the country music community. So, I remember the first time I stepped onto the stage like it was yesterday. I looked over and my dad was sobbing side stage and I was just out there, and I was so young, and I just remember thinking, ‘Whoa! This is, like a little kid going to Disneyland for the first time.’ And it just felt like a magical place that I would never get to go to, and then I found myself standing in the circle and making my dad proud and um (emotional pause) to fast forward to tonight, and my whole family is here and my whole team is here, and we worked really hard for this moment. It’s the highest honor in country music, and I’m just so excited. I don’t know that I ever, ever imagined this day would come. I dreamed for it, but it felt like something that was so out of reach and I’m just really proud.”

“There’s so much history with performers in Vegas, and everybody at some point comes through Vegas. It’s no lie when they say it’s the entertainment capital of the world, and you better figure out a way to be entertaining because there’s, I mean there’s a million things around here to get entertained by, and it is a challenge. I mean, you’ve got to go out her and it’s another thing where you’ve got to go out here and prove yourself and create a buzz around town and create a buzz around everywhere that, what I want people to be doing when they come into Vegas, and I think as the world gets back to normal, the more people start funneling to Vegas and conventions get going, I mean you want on the street for everybody to be talking about, ‘Hey, did you go see the Luke Bryan show?’ ‘Cause that’s what it’s all about. I mean, I want to come out and here and this place be packed every night.”
