  • LUKE BRYAN DEBUTS “UP” AS SIXTH SINGLE FROM BORN HERE LIVE HERE DIE HERE DELUXE ALBUM AT COUNTRY RADIO.

Five-Time Entertainer of the Year Luke Bryan is releasing a sixth single from his BORN HERE LIVE HERE DIE HERE album. “Up,” written by Jeremy Bussey, Taylor Phillips and Bobby Pinson, will impact country radio on October 11. Get the album including “Up” HERE.

“‘Up’ is a song that just checks all the boxes for a country song to me,” said Luke. “It talks about what I love and what’s dear to me. About my home and my faith. Add to that the fact that the songwriters used just a simple word as ‘up,’ to create so many images is pretty special.”

“Up” appears on the Deluxe edition of Luke’s BORN HERE LIVE HERE DIE HERE album. All five previously released singles have reached #1: “Waves,” “Down To One,” One Margarita,” “Knockin’ Boots,” and “What She Wants Tonight.”

This marks the second time Luke has released six singles deep off one album. His 2015 Kill The Lights record contains six consecutive #1 singles: “Kick The Dust Up,” “Strip It Down,” “Home Alone Tonight,” “Huntin’ Fishin’ & Lovin Everyday,” “Move,” and “Fast.”

Luke’s BORN HERE LIVE HERE DIE HERE album debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart last summer, making it Luke’s sixth consecutive appearance in the top position at the time of release. The album became his eleventh top 10 album on Billboard’s Top 200 since his first appearance with 2009’s DOIN’ MY THING.

  • DEANA CARTER RELEASES THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF DID I SHAVE MY LEGS FOR THIS? ON FRIDAY.

To celebrate the 25th Anniversary of her five-times platinum debut album Did I Shave My Legs for This?, Deana Carter and Capitol Nashville/UMe will release Did I Shave My Legs For This? 25th Anniversary Edition Friday (November 5th), but it isn’t just Carter doing the singing this time around. The project includes two new tracks with Carter performing and producing 2021 versions of the CMA award-winning, and two-times platinum hit single “Strawberry Wine,” featuring  Lauren Alaina, Martina McBrideAshley McBrydeKylie Morganand Vince Gill on guitar, as well as the title track, featuring Terri ClarkSara EvansAshley McBryde and Vince Gill.

The 25th anniversary editions of the album have been remastered from the original recordings and will be released on CD with two bonus tracks, as well as a Digital Deluxe with an additional ten songs, seven of which will be available digitally for the first time. Pre-order/Pre-save HERE

“I am beyond blown away to see the generational connection between my first single, ‘Strawberry Wine’ and all the fans, young and seasoned,” award-winning country singer-songwriter Carter shares. “Being a part of a song that has become an anthem for the ’90s and beyond is such a blessing and more than I could’ve ever dreamed of. The fans have been the catalyst for the success of ‘Strawberry Wine’ and the whole Shave album because of their connection to the truth and realness behind the songs.

“They lived it — just like I did — and just like all of my collaborators did. It was an honor to re-record two favorites with my fellow female artists who inspire me and who I admire. These new versions are a way of raising a glass to everyone who loves these songs, and to the country radio stations still playing them, and to say thank you. I hope everyone enjoys celebrating 25 years of Did I Shave My Legs For This? as much as I’ve enjoyed putting together these very special releases.”

Of the other artists who came in to re-record those classics, Deana says, “To hear them sing the songs, I was so emotional because you could feel that the album and these songs in particular meant something to the artists that were there singing, you know? And I wanted them to be featured and be propped up and ‘cause Lauren and Ashley, everyone’s got their own career rocking and rolling right now, doing so good. I’m so proud of the girls and just having them be excited to be there and sing on this record, it’s so emotional for me to feel like there was a ripple effect coming back to me. It was just really special.”

1997 CMA Single and Song of the Year “Strawberry Wine,” written by Matraca Berg and Gary Harrison, was also nominated for a GRAMMY for Best Country Song, the Academy of Country Music Awards Best Country Song, and the Country Music Radio Awards for Song of the Year. Carter co-wrote the title track “Did I Shave My Legs for This?” with Rhonda Hart.

“Who knew that some girl talk would end up becoming a cultural catchphrase for decades to come? Wow! This song is proof that a genuine, heartfelt message can be delivered with a sense of humor,” she added, “yet stand firm in the conviction to not settle for less in this life. Thanks to all the ladies who have sung this anthem at the top of their lungs and to my record label for letting me boldly title my debut album so memorably.”

Other chart-toppers from Carter’s debut album included “We Danced Anyway” (co-written by Berg and Randy Scruggs), “How Do I Get There” (co-written by Carter and Chris Farren), and “Count Me In” (co-written by Carter and Chuck Jones).

As part of the album’s 25th Anniversary celebration, Carter will perform on the Grand Ole Opry Saturday, October 16th, as part of the Opry’s 4,998th show. To purchase tickets, click HERE

  • PRISCILLA BLOCK ALWAYS DREAMED OF HAVING A SONG ON COUNTRY RADIO.

Priscilla Block has hit the Top 15 on the Country Aircheck/Mediabase country chart with “Just About Over You,” a song she co-wrote with Emily Kroll and Sarah Jones about running into her ex-boyfriend at a local Nashville watering hole.

“’Just About Over You’ is Top 15 on country radio,” says the North Carolina native. “What is my life? I am so thankful to country radio, and ever since I was a little girl, I dreamed of having a song on the radio, and it’s just so cool getting in and you know hoping I’m going to be able to hear it. This year has been absolutely wild for me, and I’m just so thankful for the fans. I’m so thankful for the opportunity to do this.”

Before signing with Mercury Nashville, Priscilla released “Just About Over You” independently with only the support of her dedicated fanbase who rallied together to finance the recording after hearing Priscilla sing the song on her socials. Priscilla, astounded by the response, then saw the song shoot to the top of the iTunes all-genre song chart within 12 hours of its release.

Named one of CMT’s Next Women of Country for 2021, Priscilla is currently on the road with Ashley McBryde on her This Town Talks Tour. Check Priscilla’s  website, priscillablock.com, for more tour information.
