• REBA McENTIRE RELEASES A VIDEO FOR HER REMAKE OF “I’M A SURVIVOR.”

Reba McEntire has released a video for the remake of her song “I’m A Survivor,” which first appeared on Greatest Hits Volume III: I’m A Survivor, released in 2001.

The song, about a premature baby girl who grows up and becomes a single parent, was also used in a different form for her TV sitcom, Reba, and the Country Music Hall of Famer loves to perform the song, especially because of the reaction of her fans.

“’I’m A Survivor’ is the theme song of the Reba TV song and I love to perform this on stage,” she says. “Women will stand up in the audience and hold their hands up when I sing ‘I’m A Survivor,’ because they are too.”

“I’m A Survivor” is featured on the Revisited portion of her upcoming box set, Revived, Remixed, Revisited, which is available this Friday (October 8th).

  • TRAVIS DENNING GETS ENGAGED!

Travis Denning is engaged! Over the weekend, he proposed to his girlfriend, Madison Montgomery, in New York City’s Central Park.

He tells us he doesn’t quite remember part of the proposal, though. “I finally popped the question in New York City, which happens to be Madison’s favorite city and that’s kind of why I held off for a little while. I wanted to make sure it was perfect and exactly what she wanted,” says Travis. “We went to Central Park and had a little shadow box of our wine corks we’ve saved since we started dating and gave it to her. And then honestly, I don’t know, I kinda blacked out and didn’t realize what happened. All I knew is when I came back to, she was engaged. We’re super excited and so happy, and I’m a super lucky guy.”

He had it all set up and the proposal was caught on camera by a friend of the country artist. He shared the story on his socials, along with a new song he wrote called “Second Best Thing,” which you can watch below. You’ll be crying happy tears.

He wrote, “I knew after three months that you were the one. Honestly, I think I knew the moment I met you. I feel like I’ve known you for a thousand years. We’ve been through so much together and I can’t wait for the rest around the corner. I wrote this song back in May 2019 about this moment. I love you.”

No word on a date for the wedding.

You can catch Madison in the video for Travis’ song, “ABBY.”

During this time, the CMA Foundation has observed why music programs are not thriving, seeing first-hand the challenges educators are facing and, most importantly, the systemic issues that must be addressed in order for every child to have access to music. Committed to its vision, the CMA Foundation is working directly with school districts to identify needs, understand their challenges, build community support and develop local and national resources from partners as part of the non-profit’s systems change model.

The CMA Foundation will continue to provide unique opportunities and support for music teachers and students as more Artist Ambassadors are announced throughout the year.

Her No. 1 debuting album Sitting Pretty On Top of The World, which includes her current single “Getting Over Him” featuring Jon Pardi, as well as her recently RIAA-certified Gold-selling “Getting Good.” Alaina will release her inspirational book “Getting Good At Being You” on Tuesday, November 23rd.

  • KEITH URBAN’S WILD HEART BEGAN BEATING WITH A JOHNNY CASH CONCERT.

Keith Urban’s latest single, “Wild Hearts,” tells the story of his own wild heart, which started beating furiously at age five when his dad took him, his brother and mother to a Johnny Cash concert. However, Keith almost didn’t record the song until he woke up one day singing the chorus a week after he turned down the song. He just didn’t connect to the verses, so he called up the writers – Brad Tursi of Old Dominion, Jennifer Wayne of Runaway June and Eric Paslay – and asked if he could rewrite the verses to reflect his own journey, to which they agreed wholeheartedly.

“I sat down and thought about my journey and when did that begin and the very first thing that popped into my head was probably when my dad took our family to see Johnny Cash. I was five, and that’s an impactful concert to see at any point in your life but when you’re five it really – it was something else. And the things I remembered mostly about it were, of course, this guy up on stage. I remember this white-hot spotlight coming all the way from the back of the room. It was huge and I remember the screaming of this crowd. And then I remember looking up at my dad and seeing the way that he looked at this person on stage, and probably subconsciously I probably thought I’ve never seen my dad look at me like that. And so that probably was the beginning of my journey. So, I literally wrote down ‘saw the man in black/spotlight in the air/heard a thousand screams/saw my daddy stare/I feel like I’ve been running since the day that I was born/Eagle on my back/phoenix on my arm.’”

Keith just finished up his dates on his Vegas residency. He’ll head Down Under for a tour of Australia beginning December 1st in New Castle.

  • JOSH TURNER RELEASES THE TITLE TRACK FOR HIS CHRISTMAS ALBUM, KING SIZE MANGER.

the title track of multi-platinum-selling recording artist Josh Turner’s first ever Christmas album, King Size Manger  is available now as an instant grat track when you pre-order the digital album here. The new album will be released globally on CD and digital October 8, 2021 on MCA Nashville.  The album features fresh interpretations of beloved Christmas classics and introduces four originals and three that were written by Turner.  In anticipation of the album, Turner has released a new studio recording of “King Size Manger,” co-written by Turner and longtime writing partner Mark Narmore.

“King Size Manger” tells the prophecy and story of Jesus’ birth powerfully delivered through simple words and amplified by Turner’s ardent and honest delivery. The lyrics include:

There in the hills of Bethlehem

No one had any room for them

They knew that child was a real-life changer

Lying there in a king size manger

“I ended up with three originals on this record of mine but if I would have picked one out of all of those it would still be King Size Manger,” says Turner. “That really kind of tells the story about how there had been so many prophesies of a Messiah coming and being born and so He fulfilled all the prophesies and then some. It obviously made an impact, we set our calendar by it, and it’s hope in a hopeless world that God would send his only son for us to set an example and show us a new way.  It’s about belief, it’s about grace, it’s about hope, it’s about love, and I’m proud that the title track of this record tells that story to some extent and that to me is the reason for the season.”

In support of the album, Turner will embark on a 17-city Holiday & The Hits Tour, culminating at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, where the album will come to life alongside Turner’s most notable hits.

  • TRAVIS DENNING FEELS GOOD ABOUT GAME 6 OF THE WORLD SERIES.

Travis Denning is feeling a big nostalgic watching the Atlanta Braves in the World Series this year. The Georgia native used to go to games with his family, but especially his uncle who lived in Atlanta. The man from Warner Robbins feels they’re looking good to take the Series over the Houston Astros.

“I grew up going to Braves game with my family, with my uncle. When I briefly went to college in Atlanta, I used to meet him down there when he worked in Atlanta. I’m just so excited. I mean, obviously, there are so man cool and nostalgic memories. I was such a fan of Andrew Jones, obviously Chipper Jones, and that team in the late ‘90s and 2000s. And to see them in the World Series, and not only that, but man, they’ve got a great shot.  I feel like they’re really peaking right now. I mean, Rosario’s just been playing amazing. I don’t know. I’ve got a good feeling about Game 6, and I like the idea of going to Houston and winning it all right there.”

Game 6 of the World Series takes place Tuesday night in Houston.

Travis is currently on the road with Brothers Osborne on their We’re Not For Everyone Tour. They’re taking the trek to Virginia on Saturday and will stop in Kansas City, Minneapolis and Chicago later this month.

  • REBA McENTIRE’S CHRISTMAS IN TUNE SET TO AIR NOVEMBER 26TH.

Reba McEntire’s Lifetime Christmas movie, Christmas In Tune, has an air date of November 26th. The movie, which also stars John Schneider (Dukes of Hazzard), Candice King and Justin David, follows the story of the singing duo, made up of Georgia (Reba) and Joe Winter (Schneider), years after their personal and professional breakup. The two agree to reunite after their daughter, Belle (King), asks them to participate in a Christmas Charity concert.

Christmas In Tune is a really cute story about a man and a woman who were a duo singing partner and also married,” says Reba. “The lady is more of the singer, but the man is more the writer, but they make a good duo. And so, things went a little south and they have a beautiful daughter and things went south so they went their separate ways, and the daughter gets them back together for a military benefit at Christmas. And of course, neither one could turn her down.”

Catch Reba McEntire’s Christmas In Tune November 26th at 8pm ET/PT on Lifetime.

Reba is set to release her triple album hits package, Revived Remixed Revisited, October 8th.
