  • KIP MOORE DROPS DRIVING LEAD SINGLE “SHE’S MINE.”

Kip Moore dropped a new single “She’s Mine” today (August 9th), available to listen here. The track is the first from Kip’s upcoming fourth studio album and serves as an exciting first look at what one of the most loyal fanbases in the genre can expect. “She’s Mine” was co-written by Kip with Dan Couch and Scott Stepakoff, and also has the star stepping into the sole producer role.

The song follows Kip, a born traveler and road-warrior, as he searches for love from coast to coast with “shimmering guitar parts, a rollicking beat and his yearning vocals” (Billboard). “She’s Mine” will be available at Country Radio beginning this Monday (August 12th).

“I wrote this song at a time in my life when I realized that my life was flipped upside down and I didn’t know which way was up,” shared Moore. “Every experience from there forward, I felt like everything was going to be a surprise. I didn’t know where I was going to end up, who I was going to meet or who I was going to be with. I’m fired up to be getting new music out there, and this song is just the beginning. I know the fans are ready and so am I.”

With notable success playing sold-out shows in the U.S and internationally, Kip recently announced he will serve a special live stint as part of a six-date BUD LIGHT DIVE BAR TOUR. The popular BUD LIGHT DIVE BAR series is known for bringing sell-out artists to intimate dive bar stages. The exclusive run will kick-off next week in Detroit, MI on 8/15 and fans can only win tickets. Moore will also continue his “wildly successful” (Chicago Tribune) ROOM TO SPARE: ACOUSTIC TOUR for a third leg, following two previously sold-out runs meeting capacity crowds at every stop in the U.S., Canada and The U.K. Moore has invited special guests Tucker Beathard, Devin Dawson and Kylie Morgan along for select dates, with the run set to begin in Grand Rapids, MI on 10/10. Moore will also return to Europe this fall, bringing his full-band electric show for special headlining performances in London, UK, Glasgow, UK, Belfast, NI and a headlining performance at The Long Road Festival. For a full list of tour dates, visit kipmoore.net.

Moore’s new single “She’s Mine” is taken from his upcoming fourth studio album, of which more details will be revealed in the coming weeks. The forthcoming project follows his ROOM TO SPARE: THE ACOUSTIC SESSIONS EP which sparked his acoustic tour and his third studio album SLOWHEART, which garnered instant praise from critics as his “most complete, cohesive declaration of his artistic sensibilities yet” (NPR,) as well landing on multiple “Best Of” lists including Entertainment Weekly, Rolling Stone, UpRoxx, Bobby Bones Show and many more. SLOWHEART included Moore’s fourth No. One single and follows the critical acclaim that surrounded Moore’s sophomore album WILD ONES and his PLATINUM debut album UP ALL NIGHT that spawned three No. One hit singles. For more information, visit kipmoore.net.

  • DIERKS BENTLEY REVEALS THE OFFICIAL LINEUP FOR HIS SECOND ANNUAL SEVEN PEAKS FESTIVAL.

Dierks Bentley has revealed the official lineup for his upcoming Seven Peaks Festival taking place in Buena Vista, Colorado August 30th – September 1st (Labor Day Weekend). Luke Bryan, Jon Pardi, Maren Morris, Caylee Hammack, Clare Dunn, Mitchell Tenpenny, Tenille Townes, Ryan Hurd, Tracy Lawrence, Deana Carter, Diamond Rio, Travis Tritt, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and many more, including Dierks’ Hot Country Knights, will perform during the three-day event.

    https://www.instagram.com/p/B08dUzQBjsm/

Established in 2018, fans traveled from 49 states and as far as Australia for the inaugural Seven Peaks Music Festival. The three-day, two-stage adventure instantly captured the hearts and attention of fans and artists for the festival’s ethereal, mountainous setting, as well as the unique and thoughtful lineup. With Forbes noting “what sets the festival apart is its location,” as Rolling Stone praised the “community-first, play-every-set take on a country festival,” Seven Peaks is returning for a second year as it continues to showcase “authenticity in every component” (PEOPLE). In addition to the breathtaking setting and first-class lineup, fans can expect multiple fringe activities across the weekend including the return of the Somewhere On A Beach Party and Late Night At Whiskey Row, with AYDAMN spinning all the fan-favorites. ATV Tours, inflatable kayaking, whitewater rafting and more will also be available.

“What makes our festival unique I think is, I love three types of music. I love commercial country music, which I do, I love ‘90s country music, and I love the bluegrass, acoustic, red-dirt kind of scene, and I hate to toss it all into one thing, that different side. So, we start off with ‘90s country night, and this year, Deana Carter is starting off. ‘Strawberry Wine’ had a big influence on my life and I love that song. I remember exactly where I was the first time I heard it. Tracy Lawrence is going to be there, unbelievable. Diamond Rio and Travis Tritt. My band and I will be on the side of the stage for every one of those performances, like leaning all the way in. And of course, the Hot Country Knights are headlining because we get to, it’s my festival. I don’t know how we’re going to go on after Travis Tritt, hopefully he will have left by then or won’t be watching, because I don’t know if we can do our ‘90s thing with these guys watching us. Although last year, Sawyer Brown, they loved it. They wore Hot Country Knights T-shirts on their set,” says Dierks. “And the next night, Saturday night, is headlined by Luke Bryan, which is great. And Maren Morris, which we’ve collaborated a bunch together and I love her to death. Mitchell Tenpenny’s there, Ryan Hurd, and a new artist Caylee Hammack who I’m just a huge fan of. And then Sunday it’s us with Jon Pardi, Tenille Townes. She’s like my favorite singer at all right now. She’s so good and such a great hang. Nitty Gritty Dirt Band which’ll be killer.. And then we have a whole another Whiskey Row stage, which is gonna be another… it’s all for me, really. It’s just people I love listening to. It’s going to be a lot of fun.”

Dierks is “Living” his best life with his latest song climbing the country charts.

  • MADDIE & TAE UNVEIL POWERFUL OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO FOR “DIE FROM A BROKEN HEART.”

On the heels of their “achingly poignant” (Sun-Sentinel) current single “Die From A Broken Heart” mounting over 50 MILLION streams, PLATINUM-selling duo Maddie & Tae are sharing the heart-bending official music video today at 3pm CT with a live chat and viewing on YouTube. In line with the “raw, vulnerable” (The Huffington Post) track, the video’s powerful treatment was predominately written by the award-winning duo, taking fans on a crushing journey through the demise of a young couple’s relationship with Maddie and Tae’s Taylor Dye stepping into the acting chair, while Maddie Marlow sets the scene narrating with striking vocals in the Carlos Ruiz-directed video.

“We knew that with a song like ‘Die From a Broken Heart,’ the music video needed to come from that same vulnerability and that’s exactly what we did,” Taylor Dye shared. “We went back and forth with our director Carlos Ruiz for weeks just trying to make sure we had all the tools to make this story come to life. This music video was healing for me and I hope it plays a part in someone else’s healing as well.”

“Fans can expect to see a completely different side to me,” says Taylor Dye. “I’ve never been the kind of gal who wears her heart on her sleeve, but this is the moment where I just let it all, let it all HANG OUT, BABY!”

“It’s very emotional. It’s probably the most emotional video we’ve ever filmed, and I’m just so proud,” says Maddie Marlow. “Tae just killed it. We’re getting an agent like stat, because she was so good. Yeah. I can’t wait. I hope people can feel the emotion that was put in the song and to the video.”

Maddie & Tae are next slated to appear at The 13th Annual ACM Honors on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN. Next month, the duo will resume as direct support on Carrie Underwood’s The Cry Pretty Tour 360 with stops at marquee venues like Los Angeles’ STAPLES Center (9.12), Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena (9.27) and New York City’s Madison Square Garden (10.2) and more.

Award-winning duo Maddie & Tae are drawing praise for their new music “anchored around their stellar vocal pairings and some of the tightest harmonies on Music Row” (Rolling Stone). Recently releasing their eagerly-awaited EP One Heart To Another, serving as a snapshot of more music to come from the duo later this year, “the sound is identifiable while still representing a distinct step forward” (Billboard). Maddie & Tae first broke out in 2013 with their brilliant take down of bro-country, “Girl In A Country Song,” which took Country radio by storm, skyrocketing to the top of the charts and quickly going PLATINUM. The duo became only the third female duo in 70 years to top the Country Airplay charts, also earning trophies from the Country Music Academy and Radio Disney Music Awards along with multiple ACM, CMA and CMT Award nominations. Receiving widespread praise from NPR, Billboard, Entertainment Weekly, The Washington Post, Glamour and others, country music’s hottest stars including Dierks Bentley, Lee Brice and Brad Paisley have welcomed Maddie & Tae on the road, with Carrie Underwood recently inviting the duo out as direct support on her 2019 The Cry Pretty Tour 360. It’s probably the most emotional video we’ve ever filmed, and I’m just so proud. Tae just killed it. We’re getting an agent like stat, because she was so good. Yeah. I can’t wait. MADDIE: “My role in this is kind of being the narrator and watching my best friend go through kind of like how this inspiration started for this song. So, we just both really, really dug into the like just lowest, lowest parts of our (TAE: “Heartache.”). It was tricky, ‘cause I was like I have to be really, really emotional and I feel bad all the camera guys, especially with Tae’s scenes, they’re just like, you could see their eyes welling up watching her and watching me crying.” TAE: “My parents just happened to be in town when we were shooting, so I was like, ‘When else are you gonna be in town when we’re making music videos, so you have to come,’ cause they’ve never seen it. They came and one specific scene – I’m not gonna say what it is – but it made both of my parents cry. And I walked out and my mom had a red nose and my dad’s like, ‘I wasn’t crying. I wasn’t crying.’ (MADDIE: “Awwwwww.”) And I was like, ‘Oh no.’ Well, if it makes my parents cry, hopefully it’ll makes people feel something.”

  • NEWS AND NOTES: Maddie & Tae, Keith

Maddie & Tae will release the emotional video for “Die From a Broken Heart” on Thursday at 4pm ET/3pm CT. Check back later for audio from the duo on the emotions that went into the clip.

  • “HOOTIE & THE BLOWFISH ARE BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER” WITH IMPERFECT CIRCLE SET FOR NOVEMBER 1ST RELEASE.

As a summer of sold-out shows celebrated by fans and critics alike nears its celebratory three-night U.S. finale in Columbia, S.C., the band Billboard praises as “back and better than ever” will continue the excitement into the fall with today’s announcement of Imperfect Circle, the first new album from Hootie & the Blowfish in nearly 15 years.

Due out November 1st on Universal Music Group’s Capitol Nashville imprint, the album is available for pre-order today.

“There’s something timeless about their sound,” proclaimed USA Today in a story breaking the news of the album. “From their stupendous 1994 debut Cracked Rear View, which is certified 21x Platinum (equivalent to 21 million certified units sold), to their anticipated reunion album, Imperfect Circle…Hootie & the Blowfish appear ready to pick up where they left off as a pop music phenomenon. Yet they haven’t forgotten where they began because, really, they never left that place.”

Despite a decade-long hiatus that followed their initial wave of success punctuated only by occasional charity shows, the band’s return to the spotlight with this year’s Group Therapy Tour has brought out the “highest attendance figures of their career,” according to Billboard’s Boxscore, proving that the two-time GRAMMY Award winners have withstood the test of time.

“Whatever the descriptive shorthand used — roots rock, alt-country, jangle-pop or country-rock — Hootie and the Blowfish’s material has aged extraordinarily well, fond remembrances aside,” noted the Dallas Observer at a recent show, proclaiming that “the honey-voiced Rucker is still, 25 years on, one of the best singers in any genre, full stop.”

“Rucker has — no exaggeration — one of the great voices in contemporary pop music, a dynamic and sophisticated baritone that’s full of gravity,” agreed the New York Times in a June Arts & Leisure cover story after sitting in on the recording process for Imperfect Circle. “The rest of the band makes spry work of otherwise staid idioms. Bryan is a patient decorator with guitar, never overpowering an arrangement, and as a rhythm section, Felber and Sonefeld are insistent but amiable.”

Following the nostalgic summer tour, fans now eager to hear new music by the iconic band can get early access to a first track called “Rollin’” available exclusively at www.Hootie.com, before it becomes available for purchase and streaming on September 6th.

    About Hootie & the Blowfish
With the rich, bluesy vocals of Darius Rucker and gleeful harmonies of guitarist Mark Bryan, bassist Dean Felber and drummer Jim “Soni” Sonefeld, Hootie & the Blowfish have sold over 25 million records worldwide to date after their infectious melodies hit the airwaves in 1994 with hits such as “Hold My Hand,” “Let Her Cry” and “Only Wanna Be With You.”

The quartet met at the University of South Carolina where endless gigs at frat houses and local bars built a major local buzz. Their blend of pop, folk, blues, soul and rock made them hard to pigeonhole, but easily accessible to anyone who loved good music.

Atlantic Records, impressed by their regional draw, signed them and released Cracked Rear View in 1994. The album had been out for six months before the band played on the Late Show with David Letterman which sent sales skyrocketing, eventually landing at No. 1 on the Billboard chart the following spring. Cracked Rear View and the band went on to win two GRAMMY Awards, an MTV Video Music Award, a Billboard Music Award, and multiple People’s Choice Awards. Cracked Rear View went on to earn the band Billboard‘s Band of the Year Award in 1996 and the RIAA’s Diamond Award for sales in excess of 10 million units. Cracked Rear View remains the 5th most certified studio album in music business history.

The band remained a top draw nationwide and released five more albums for Atlantic: Fairweather JohnsonMusical ChairsScattered, Smothered & CoveredHootie & The Blowfish and The Best of Hootie & The Blowfish, as well as Looking For Lucky on their own Sneaky Long Records and LIVE in Charleston, The Homegrown Concert Event DVD and CD. The band took a break from full-time touring in 2007, reuniting annually for a variety of philanthropic events while also pursuing solo projects. 2019 marked the band’s first full-time touring year in over a decade as they embarked on the Group Therapy Tour ahead of Imperfect Circle, their first album in nearly 15 years due out November 1 under a new record deal with Universal Music Group Nashville.

  • HOOTIE & THE BLOWFISH ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM, “IMPERFECT CIRCLE.”

Hootie & the Blowfish just announced the release date of their new album, Imperfect Circle. The collection will be released November 1st on Capitol Nashville. Their last studio album, Looking for Lucky, was released August 9th, 2005 with a live album, Live in Charleston, coming one year later (August 8th, 2006). The band – comprised of Darius Rucker, Mark Bryan, Dean Felber and Jim “Soni” Sonefeld – were huge fans of R.E.M, considered to be the first alternative rock band on record. Hootie & the Blowfish based the title of their new album on one of their favorite R.E.M. songs.

“We were sitting around before going into the studio and talking about album names and stuff and of course REM came up because they’re such an important band to us,” says Darius. “‘Perfect Circle’ is an REM song that we all love a lot (“One of the best”), and I said, ‘Perfect Circle,’ and then we thought Imperfect Circle was a better name, because just looking at us, our career, it’s the 25th anniversary of Cracked Rear View, but we’ve been playing together 30-something years and for us to be here, to be doing this tour and to be making a record, it just seems like Imperfect Circle was perfect.”

The title has some similarities to the band’s 21-times platinum debut album, Cracked Rear View. “Imperfect Circle kinda has the same ring to it as Cracked Rear View, where it’s like you’re looking back and you realize nobody’s journey is perfect, but here we are,” says Hootie member Mark Bryan. “We’re all still here, and I think a lot of people can relate to that.”

The process of coming up with a title has always been a lot of fun for the group. “As usual, the process of finding the right names is always the most fun for us,” says Soni. “We sat around the studio – and we knew this is how it would be – for six months throwing out names that are utter, just dumb, funny, perverse or whatever, and that’s part of the fun we’ve always had is naming albums, giving album titles that really aren’t going to be the album title.”

Hootie & the Blowfish are currently on their Group Therapy Tour with Barenaked Ladies with dates tonight (August 8th) in Columbia, Maryland, Friday (August 9th) in Canandaigua, New York and a two-night stand at Madison Square Garden Saturday (August 10th) and Sunday (August 11th) in New York City.

We sat around the studio – and we knew this is how it would be – for six months throwing out names that are utter, just dumb, funny, perverse or whatever, and that’s part of the fun we’ve always had is naming albums, giving album titles that really aren’t going to be the album title.” DEAN: “Never anything until the last day.” (EVERYONE LAUGHS) MARK: “Yeah. If you really want the album to be titled something, don’t tell anybody until the last day. That’s your safest bet…you wait until the last minute. That’s your only chance.”

Hootie & the Blowfish (Darius-album title) OC: (Soni) …is perfect.
“It seems like when it’s getting titles for our records, we are always last minute when the label’s saying if you don’t give us the title to your record, we’re not gonna put it out, so get one. (laughs) And it was true to this, and we were sitting around before going into the studio and talking about album names and stuff and of course REM came up because they’re such an important band to us. ‘Perfect Circle’ is an REM song that we all love a lot (“One of the best”), and I said, ‘Perfect Circle,’ and then we thought Imperfect Circle was a better name, because just looking at us, our career, it’s the 25th anniversary of Cracked Rear View, but we’ve been playing together 30-something years and for us to be here, to be doing this tour and to be making a record, it just seems like Imperfect Circle was perfect.” SONI: “Nice. Imperfect Circle is perfect!”
