Nashville, TN – January 15, 2014 – Award winning singer/songwriter Dierks Bentley is amping up his 2014 tour schedule with the announcement today he will headline the 2014 RISER TOUR. The first leg will kick off May 9 in Charlotte, NC and continue through the summer with special guests Chris Young, Chase Rice and Jon Pardi. Fans can purchase tickets beginning Jan. 24 for select cities as part of tour promoter Live Nation’s Country Megaticket at www.Megaticket.com and additional ticket information will be available in the coming weeks at www.dierks.com.
“This tour is the culmination of everything I’ve been working on for the past two years, both out on the road and in the studio recording RISER,” said Bentley. “I know what my fans want: a kick ass show, an affordable ticket and a good parking lot scene to get the pre-gaming going! The guys opening the show and getting the party started all know how to put on a great live show, and when it comes time for my set, I can promise that we are going big! I have never been more excited about a tour.”
With ten years experience honing his stage skills, Bentley’s live show continues to catch the attention of critics, who have called it “dynamic” and note his continued devotion to interacting with the fans and creating “a nearly nonstop, high energy affair heavy with hits” (Reading Eagle).
“…it’s hard to imagine many country stars topping Bentley, who soon made use of every inch of his big two-tier stage. The Arizona native immediately incited the boisterous crowd with a trio of amped-up hits.” – The Oklahoman
“From the initial response from the crowd, he wasn’t the only one who wanted to have a little fun. The Capitol recording artist continued to keep up the intensity throughout his performance, and with a long history at radio — including ten number ones — he was able to keep the hits coming.” – Billboard
“His own energy level running flat out the whole time, Bentley used every square foot of the gigantic concert stage. Sometimes he’d start out singing at one end of it, and end up singing on a microphone at the other end, or up on risers at the back of the intricate stage set, or out at the end of the runway. He definitely gave the audience a show.” – Times Record News

“It’s kinda hard for me not to get emotional about what we’re fixing to announce. When I moved to Nashville, I had dreams of becoming where I’m at and when I see artists like George Strait, and Kenny Chesney and Garth Brooksand all of the artists that have kind of paved the way for guys like me to dream and to pick certain venues to take it to the next level, and we got some interesting venues we’re gonna take it to the next level …”

NASHVILLE – Music City’s finest student musicians will once again take the stage during CMA’s Fifth Annual Keep the Music Playing All Stars Concert on Tuesday, Jan. 28 (6:00 PM/CT). Taking place for the first time at the CMA Theater at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, this year’s concert will be hosted by EMI Nashville recording artist and CMA Awards nominee Eric Paslay.
“CMA’s support of music education is so important and I am honored to be part of this special event,” shared Paslay. “Music was such a huge part of my childhood and I was lucky to have teachers and family who encouraged me. I can’t wait to see these talented students perform.”
CMA’s Keep the Music Playing All Stars Concert honors several of the brightest music groups from Metro Nashville Public Schools that have benefited from CMA’s Keep the Music Playing music education initiative. The event will feature performances from five Nashville school groups including Hillwood High School Wind Ensemble; Hull-Jackson Montessori Strings; Hume-Fogg Academic Magnet and Martin Luther King Academic Magnet School Strings; John F. Kennedy Middle School Choir and Concert Band; and the McGavock High School Capital Sounds Show Choir.
“This concert is all about celebrating the next generation of musicians,” said Sarah Trahern, CMA Chief Executive Officer. “It is a special night made possible by the hundreds of artists who performed at the 2013 CMA Music Festival for free. These children are able to enjoy a first-class music education program because of the generosity of our artist community and the commitment of The CMA Foundation to support music education in our schools.”
Since 2006, proceeds from CMA Music Festival have been donated to Keep the Music Playing to provide Metro Nashville Public Schools with much needed musical instruments and music labs. To date, CMA has donated more than $7.6 million to the cause, including $6.5 million donated directly to Metro Nashville Public Schools on behalf of the artists who make appearances and perform at the yearly event.
“CMA’s Keep the Music Playing All Stars Concert is an annual highlight for the music students and teachers. This year’s concert will be especially thrilling for all in the new CMA Theater. Without the continued generosity of CMA, so many of Nashville’s uniquely rich musical experiences would not be available to our students. We are very grateful for this opportunity to celebrate our students’ musical achievements with performances by five of Metro School’s most outstanding ensembles,” said Dr. Nola Jones, Coordinator, Visual and Performing Arts for Metro Nashville Public Schools.
CMA will announce the 2013 CMA Music Festival financial contribution to Keep the Music Playing during a private reception for Metro Nashville Public Schools music and choir directors preceding the concert.
CMA Award nominee Paslay (Song of the Year in 2012 for “Even If It Breaks Your Heart”) understands the importance of music education in Music City and has supported the cause by appearing at the CMA Music Festival. Paslay will release his self-titled debut album on Feb. 4, featuring the Top 10 single “Friday Night.”

Billy Currington is climbing the country charts with his latest hit single, “We Are Tonight,” and it was the first song producer Dann Huff ever sent him for his latest album. “It was within a week that we confirmed that we were going to do this project, he had sent me the song. He says, ‘Man, I just got one today, and I think it’s a smash, man. Check it out,’” recalls Billy. “And sure enough, [I] listened to it, and on the first listen, I was like, ‘Whoa, this is like an arena song.’ And it’s perfect for his type of production, and I felt it. I just wanted to put my voice on it.”
Billy kicks off his We Are Tonight headlining tour, along with support acts Brett Eldredge and Chase Rice, on March 6th in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Billy Currington (We Are Tonight) OC: …that good stuff. :45
“‘We Are Tonight’ is the first song Dann Huff sent me when we agreed to start working together. He’s like, it was within a week that we confirmed that we were going to do this project, he had sent me the song, he says, ‘Man, I just got one today, and I think it’s a… it’s a smash, man. Check it out.’ And sure enough, listened to it, and on the first listen, I was like, ‘Whoa, this is like an arena song.’ And it’s perfect for his type of production, and I felt it. I just wanted to put my voice on it, and I love the message of it. ‘We Are Tonight.’ It’s just basically you’re drifting back in time of just being rock stars on the river banks and Friday night football games and all that good stuff.”
