CARRIE UNDERWOOD LAUNCHES CARR-DIO BY CARRIE’S COUNTRY ON SIRIUSXM.

Carrie Underwood joined the SiriusXM lineup with her very own year-round channel, CARRIE’S COUNTRY (Ch. 60), back in June. Now, the eight-time GRAMMY Award-winning artist is creating a second channel: CARR-DIO by CARRIE’S COUNTRY, available to stream anytime exclusively on the SiriusXM app.

CARR-DIO will also be available on satellite channel 105 from January 5th–8th.

What you’ll hear on CARR-DIO by CARRIE’S COUNTRY

Expanding on the popular CARR-DIO show from CARRIE’S COUNTRY, the CARR-DIO by CARRIE’S COUNTRY channel plays high-energy workout tracks alongside fitness advice from Carrie herself. Whether you’re powering through your workout or heading to work, put your best foot forward with CARR-DIO by CARRIE’S COUNTRY.

“One of the easiest ways to spice up a workout is with music,” Carrie said. “If you find the right jam and you get into it and you can dance in between sets and have a good time with it … Listen to music that makes you happy or pumps you up, and go for it!”

Carrie’s favorite workout music

Curating workout songs for CARR-DIO by CARRIE’S COUNTRY was “all about just picking music that makes you feel good,” Carrie shared. “I like stuff that I can either dance to or get mad with — it kind of depends on my mood and what I’m doing.”

One of her personal favorite songs to work out to is “Watch The World Burn” by rock band Falling In Reverse. “It switches gears a lot, and it’s kind of an epic song. Whenever you get a song that is just epic — like, it’s long and visual and switching cadence — I always think that’s cool. So that one gets me going,” she explained.

Carrie’s fit52 app

With a passion for health and wellness, Carrie’s creation of the CARR-DIO by CARRIE’S COUNTRY channel fits right in with her other ventures. Her community-powered fitness app, fit52 makes it easy to find your path to a stronger, healthier you, 52 weeks of the year. The app follows Carrie’s fitness routines and offers hundreds of delicious, healthy recipes to help nourish your body, mind and soul to achieve your personal wellness goals. New subscribers can get a 30-day free trial here: http://fit52.com/SiriusXM

She also founded and created the fitness and lifestyle brand CALIA by Carrie Underwood, and her first book, FIND YOUR PATH, was an instant New York Times bestseller. In addition, she expanded her lifestyle portfolio with an equity partnership with BODYARMOR Sports Drink in 2021.

“My workout mantra is, ‘Just go!’ It doesn’t have to be some epic, awesome workout every single day. Just get in there. You will not be sorry,” Carrie added. “You will not be disappointed in yourself if you do workout, but you might be disappointed in yourself if you don’t. So get in there, get moving, whatever your best is for the day, give it!”

Carrie is currently making her way up the country charts with “Out Of That Truck.”

Carrie Underwood (fitness path) OC: …around for them. :43
“It took a while to find my right path to fitness and health, but it’s something I’ve always been interested in, and the older I got, you start cooking for yourself when your teenagers and 20s and all that stuff. You kind of start looking at the fine print and you start learning about nutrition, if that’s what you want to do, and that’s what I wanted to do and started feeling better and started feeling better about myself. Now that I’m a mom and a wife and all that, it’s very important to be a good example for my children and teach them healthy eating habits and healthy habits for their bodies, because I want them to live a healthy, wonderful, happy lives as long as they possibly can, and I on the flipside want to be around for them.”

PARKER McCOLLUM’S DREAM COLLABORATIONS INCLUDE GEORGE STRAIT AND DOLLY PARTON.

Parker McCollum has made no secret of his admiration and idolization of fellow Texan George Strait. The two have teamed up on the golf course once or twice, but Parker would love to collaborate on a song together with King George; and there’s a few other choice artists he’d like to record with one day.

“You know, I mean I hope that at some point in time in my life I get to do a song with George (Strait). That would really something,” he says. “I’d love to do a song with Tim McGraw or Kenny Chesney. I’d love to do a song with (Jason) Aldean. Dolly. That’s never going to happen. But if I was writing names to throw in a hat and draw them, I’d put hers on there.”

Parker wrapped up his 2023 Winter Tour on New Year’s Eve, and he has a couple of weeks off before he hits the road on his Burn It Down Tour kicking off January 18th in Spokane, Washington.

In the meantime, Parker is burning up the charts with his latest single, “Burn It Down,” which is poised to enter the Top 15 on the country charts.

JOSH ROSS IS BUILDING A SOLID FOUNDATION FOR HIS MUSIC.

Ontario native Josh Ross had a big year in 2023, and as he reflects back over the year, the main thing he realizes is that he grew his fan base exponentially.

“I think just building a really good fan base,” says Josh. “Just seeing that we really have built a fan base that is foundational and really exciting, and then on top of that, I feel like I’ve built a really great team and management and label partners and everybody that is very excited for what I’ve got to come in the future. Obviously, moments like playing the Opry was incredible and having all of my family and friends there and being on the Nickelback tour, but definitely, just honestly, seeing what the music has done with fans this year would be to me what stood out the most.”

For this year (2024), Josh wants to continue growing his fan base and having people get to know him better. “I’m still, I believe, in the early stages of, you know, the new artist thing and let people get to know me,” he says. “And I just look forward to kind of taking people on the journey of like this is where I was when I started songwriting, and this is the first song I wrote and then this is when I went through this phase. I think a lot of people can kind of go on that rollercoaster with me of okay, this is a really fun song and we’re partying to this on a Friday, and then now we’re emotional and going through stuff on a Tuesday. That’s just me as a person, and my mom’s always joked that I’m a Gemini and I try to bring that into my shows – there’s two different sides to the emotions and yeah, just give everybody a packed full show of different stuff.”

After a short holiday break, the reigning CCMA Breakthrough Artist of the Year, who has been working on new music, will hit the road on his Trouble Tour beginning January 12th in Winnipeg, Ontario. In-between headlining shows, he’ll join Bailey Zimmerman on his Religiously-The Tour starting February 1st.

BRENDA LEE’S “ROCKIN’ AROUND THE CHRISTMAS TREE” JUMPS BACK TO NO. 1 ON BILLBOARD’S HOT 100 CHART.

Brenda Lee‘s classic holiday standard, “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree” jumped back to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart. This is her third non-consecutive week atop the chart, first hitting No. 1 in December for the first time, 65 years after its release. It became the icon’s third Hot 100 No. 1, and her first since 1960.

https://twitter.com/BrendaLeeMusic_/status/1742272745847554151

“As I celebrate this with my fans and everyone who has supported me over the years, I really wish I could celebrate with Johnny Marks, who wrote the song, and Owen Bradley, who brilliantly produced ‘Rockin’,’” she said in a statement when the tune stayed at the top of the chart for its second week near the end of last year. “The song has truly stood the test of time and I am so grateful that this has become my signature song. As I always say, Keep on Rockin’!”

For the song’s 65th anniversary, the Country and Rock And Roll Hall of Famer released the first ever music video for “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree,” featuring cameos by country stars Tanya Tucker and Trisha Yearwood. She also released a new EP, A Rockin’ Christmas with Brenda Lee, featuring “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree” and other holiday favorites including “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town,” “Jingle Bell Rock” “A Marshmallow World” and “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree,” reimagined by Filous.

According to Billboard, “Rockin'” is just the third holiday No. 1 ever on the Hot 100, with all three having led for multiple weeks. “The Chipmunk Song,” by The Chipmunks with David Seville, also from 1958, spent four weeks on top beginning that December and Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” released in 1994, has spent 14 weeks at No. 1.

Audio / Brothers Osborne talk about how people spend the last moments of the year, and the first moments of the new year.

Brothers Osborne (New Year) OC: (TJ) …next month. :44
JOHN: “I think it’s kind of funny how we spend literally the last moment and the very first moment of every year being extremely intoxicated, extremely, because you don’t want to wait until like 12:30 to get your buzz on. You’ve got to do it before midnight, and then once midnight happens, you’re like, ‘Omigod! Now it’s time to celebrate even more.’ Debauchery is the literally bookending your entire year.” TJ: “I love how everyone starts the year off with diets and then we end the year with like excessive amounts of food. And then you get to the end of the year, you’re like, ‘Oh, I’m going to start a diet on the 1st, so I’m going to eat everything that’s in front of me.’ I love it.” JOHN: “And come February 1st, ‘what diet?’” [laughs] TJ: “What diet? I’ll start it next month.” [laughs]

Audio / John Osborne of Brothers Osborne says a little hair of the dog is definitely the cure for a hangover.

Brothers Osborne (hangover cure) OC: …of the year. :07
“Usually drinking more. I mean, a little hair of the dog never hurt anybody. Plus, it’s the first of the year.”

Audio / A few years ago, Dierks Bentley talked about taking New Year's Eve in stride nowadays.

Dierks Bentley (New Year’s) OC: …in stride. 1:11
“New Year’s is rough. New Year’s hurts no matter what’s going on. I’ve played a lot of New Year’s shows, you know, but I’ve honestly found that it’s not my favorite night to throw down. Look, for a living, that’s what I do. Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night, I host a big party; not only on stage, but I’ve got friends backstage. It starts before the concert sometimes, [and] it goes long after the concert, so a lot of times on New Year’s, I’m looking for a really mellow hang – a good party, good friends, pretty chill. Some of my best New Year’s – it doesn’t make for great radio – but some of my best New Years have been just like actually hearing fireworks go off while I’m in bed, [laughs] and know I’m gonna wake up the next morning for the first day of the New Year feeling great, feeling recharged and I’m ready to go ad go into the New Year feeling good as opposed to going into it with a giant Jagerbomb hangover, which I’ve done many, many times. So, the goal this year is to go into it feeling pretty good and the kids help with that, because you really just don’t want to be hungover with children. It’s not a good feeling. You would probably admit to any crime to get them, just feel better, and get them leave you alone. So, [I’m] gonna try to hit New Year’s this year in stride.”

Audio / Dierks Bentley says there’s not really a cure for a hangover.

Download

Dierks (NYE) OC: …for that. :10
“I think January first is universally accepted as a dog. So I mean, a little hair of the dog, I guess. But just…water and stay on the couch, I guess. There’s no real sure-fire cure for that.”

Audio / Eric Church has a couple of hangover cures for those times (especially on New Year’s Eve) when you might imbibe a little too much.

Download

Eric Church (hangover cure) OC: …every time. :17
“The best hangover cure – I’ve got two. One is 5-hour Energy [bottles], because of all the B-vitamins that are in it. You can start pounding those, and it’s either gonna work, or it’s gonna keep you up and prolong your misery. But the other one I have is just take two Advil and a beer in the morning. Hair of the dog, man – that works every time.”

Audio / Josh Ross talks about performing on New Year's Eve this year.

Download

Josh Ross (playing New Year’s Eve 2023) OC: …worth it. :33
“You know, obviously just the energy around it being a new year and new goals and it’s my refresh for the year, and, but it’ll I get to kind of start my refresh right at the very first moment of time, so I’m really looking forward to that. It honestly reminds me of when I came to Nashville which is really cool. I remember I got to watch Keith Urban play in 2017 on New Year’s here in Nashville, and I thought how cool would it be to be an artist that gets to bring in the year for people and play, and I get to do that this year, which is real exciting, up in Edmonton, Canada. But it’s gonna be good. It’ll probably be minus-25 (degrees) and freezing cold, but it’ll definitely be worth it.”

Audio / Josh Ross gives his best hangover cures.

Download

Josh Ross (hangover cure) OC: …for the day. :37
“Best hangover cure—I think it’s depending on what I have to do that day or the next day. But yeah, there’s definitely two. There’s my old approach, which was the football approach when I played college football, was we used to have Sunday morning rundown and no matter how much fun you had on Saturday night, you had to be at the field at 8 or 9am and we used to have to jog around the track. Running or doing some type activity is one of the best cures. As I’ve gotten lazier, I would maybe say, sometimes just having water, having liquid IV or sometimes my grandma’s old trick of the hair of the dog is a real thing and kind of just help level you out for the day.”

Audio / Kacey Musgraves has her own hangover cure.

Download

Kacey Musgraves (hangover cure) OC: …water. Yup! :32
“Coconut water is a major help with hangovers and also, a lot of times we go and eat Vietnamese pho. It’s a soup, and it’s got this awesome broth. You can get different things in it or whatever, but for some reason, it’s just like…it’s almost like a chicken noodle soup kind of an idea, you know, but it’s good. That’s good for hangovers too. That, sleep, Tylenol, coconut water and just water, in general. And when you’re drinking, have your alcohol, drink a little bit of water, drink some more alcohol, drink some water. Yup!”

Audio / Since he’s performing one of his Vegas residency dates at Resorts World AND it’s his wife Caroline’s birthday, Luke Bryan says they’re going to have a “big time” on New Year’s Eve this year.

Download

Luke Bryan (New Year’s 2023) OC: …in Vegas. :40
“Every new year is always tricky because New Year’s Eve is Caroline’s birthday. So, I always have to run my New Year’s plans by her, and she has to sign off on them, because we don’t want to interrupt her birthday. But this year, I’m gonna be in Vegas for my Las Vegas residency. It’s some of the final shows, and we got tons of friends coming out – all of her college friends, some friends from Nashville – and it’s gonna be a big group of us having a lot of fun. We’re gonna try our best to make her birthday really special and to have fun doing the shows and ringin’ in the New Year, and it should be a big time out there in Vegas.”

Audio / Luke Bryan takes a look back at 2023.

Download

Luke Bryan (looking back at 2023) OC: …every night. :38
“When I look back at 2023, what stands out the most literally is how busy of a year it was and how amazing the Country On Tour was. You might prepare yourself for stuff to slow down a little bit, but for me it was not that way. I mean, the crowds were huge. We were selling ‘em out. The fans were going crazy. We had a lot of new baby acts come out with me, and I enjoyed getting to know them and hopefully being a part in taking their career to the next level. So, the Country On Tour was definitely the highlight of the year, as far as just how big it was and how the fans showed up every night.”

Audio / Luke Bryan is looking forward to a few things in 2024.

Download

Luke Bryan (looking ahead at 2024) OC: …a snowstorm. :28
“For 2024, we haven’t announced our tour, but there’ll be a tour and we’ve got Crash My Playa coming up right at the top of the year. We’ve got Dierks and Jelly Roll and Eddie Montgomery from Montgomery Gentry – he and I are gonna do some songs together. I’m really excited about that. We got Dustin Lynch getting ready for the pool party, so Playa’s just been a great thing. Just about the time it gets too cold to be in Nashville, we fly to Mexico and get warm. Every time we’re driving to the airport, it’s a snowstorm.”

Travis Denning (favorite New Year’s Eve party) OC: …it was good. :41
“I think my favorite New Year’s Eve party ever was when my sister got married, and my sister’s party got done at 10:30, 10:45 and she got married right behind a little club that I played a lot in Macon, Georgia called the Crazy Bull and love the owner. We’re boys, you know? So, we just literally walked right over and burned the house down. That was one of my favorite New Year’s Eve memories, ‘cause I got to see my sister and brother-in-law get married and that was such a great, great time, and then me and my older cousin and best friend, we ended up at Waffle House that night, so it was good.”

Travis Denning (hangover cure) OC: …me better. :17
“You know, I think my hangover cure is just sitting on my butt, [laughs] not doing anything. Drink some water, a cup of coffee, but usually anything greasy or just some big ole Mexican food that’ll get me at least to a nap, which will get me better.”

Travis Denning (wants to get dressed up for New Year’s Eve) OC: …good for it. :13
“No matter what I do for New Year’s Eve, I want to get dressed up. I want to wear a suit. I want to get real snazzied up, and I don’t care if I’m just going to a bar. Like, it’s New Year’s Eve, let’s look good for it.”

Audio / Tyler Hubbard recalls one of his most prominent New Year's Eve memories.

Tyler Hubbard (New Year’s memory) OC: …comes to mind. :24
“Well, this is probably a classic answer, but we did play New Year’s in New York and watched the ball drop and it was a big, special moment, one of those kind of check it off the bucket list type of moments, and we did that. And it is incredible. The energy’s amazing, and it’s super cold, but we had a great time. When I think of epic New Year’s, that’s definitely, it’s probably the first memory that comes to mind.”

PRISCILLA BLOCK’S DEBUT PERFORMANCE AT BRIDGESTONE ARENA IN SUPPORT OF OLD DOMINION.

Platinum selling artist, Priscilla Block, cut her teeth in Nashville – as many other artists do – a grueling schedule of playing the bars on Broadway, sitting in rounds night after night and hoping one day to take the big stage in Nashville. For years, Priscilla performed at Pete & Terry’s Tavern located at Bridgestone Arena, telling her bandmates that one-day they would make it inside and play that stage. On Friday, December 15th, Priscilla’s dreams came true as she took the stage in support of Old Dominion during their No Bad Vibes Tour stop at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

CARRIE UNDERWOOD’S STELLAR 2023.

Superstar Carrie Underwood wraps a stellar 2023, with numerous highlights including:

  • The Denim & Rhinestones Tour – Carrie’s critically-acclaimed 43-city arena tour kicked off October 2022 and wrapped March 2023 with sold-out performances across the U.S.  The tour featured surprise appearances from special guests including Brad Paisley, Axl Rose and Jason Aldean.  Carrie also announced a donation to Tunnel To Towers of over $420,000 raised by her fans who attended the tour, representing $1 from each ticket sold on the tour that will go directly towards supporting America’s heroes and their families.

“The Best Country Concerts We Saw In 2023…Carrie Underwood brought her wildly successful Denim & Rhinestones Tour to Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on March 1. The two-hour show was a jaw-dropping spectacle that found the eight-time GRAMMY winner showcasing her impeccable vocals and commanding stage presence while bringing her biggest hits to life with larger-than-life production elements. There was fire, several eye-catching outfit changes, a giant swing that flew her across the arena, pyrotechnics, stunning visuals, and so much more. Underwood truly outdid herself on this tour.
– Country Now (12/1/23)

  • Denim & Rhinestones (Deluxe Edition) – Released September 2023, co-produced by Carrie and featuring 6 new tracks including “Out of That Truck.”  Carrie took over multiple hours of NBC’s Today Show to celebrate the release:

So it only made sense that the night’s most vocally impressive moment came during his homage…Carrie Underwood stole the show with a soul-rending ‘One More Try,’ imbuing it with all the hurt, yearning and quiet grace of Michael’s original.”

“Carrie Underwood was among the stars who took the stage at the 2023 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, delivering a scorching tribute to inductee George Michael by singing ‘One More Try’ in his honor.  The country superstar delivered a note-perfect rendition of the powerful ballad, which served as the fourth single from Michael’s landmark 1987 album, Faith.  Underwood gives a tightly controlled, but emotionally vulnerable performance.
