  • NEWS AND NOTES: Josh, LBT, Jon, Eric

Josh Turner will co-host the 10 o’clock hour of NBC’s Today Show with Jenna Bush on Tuesday (March 14th) and will also perform his latest hit single, “Hometown Girl.”

Little Big Town will perform on CBS’s The Talk on Tuesday (March 14th).

Jon Pardi will perform his chart-topping smash, “Dirt on My Boots,” on NBC’s Late Night With Seth Meyers on Tuesday (March 14th), as well as Good Morning America on March 23rd.

Eric Church gave fans in Calgary, Alberta, Canada a special performance on Saturday night (March 11th). Concertgoers were given a mostly solo and acoustic show because of the snow that piled on the roof of the Scotiabank Saddledome. The venue couldn’t handle the snow and the stage setup from Church’s Holdin’ My Own Tour, so the superstar decided to scale back his production and perform a scaled down version of a three-and-a-half hour set.

  • JON PARDI TOPS THE BILLBOARD COUNTRY CHART WITH ‘DIRT ON MY BOOTS.’

Pardi, who is nominated for his very first ACM Award for New Male Vocalist of the Year, makes his late night television debut tomorrow night, March 14 on NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers. The country singer also performs the hit No. 1 “Dirt On My Boots” on ABC’s Good Morning America March 23rd.

  • JON PARDI’S ‘DIRT ON MY BOOTS’ IS IN THE TOP 5.

Jon Pardi is sitting inside the Top 5 on the country charts with his latest song, “Dirt on My Boots.” He said when he first heard the song, he knew it would sound great on the radio.

“I knew when I heard it, it was a hit. It had something about it that was familiar something, like it had that radio sound. The demo, I just heard the melody and lyrics, and I just felt like, man, I think this is really gonna be like a jam,” says Jon. “When we finished, I described ‘Dirt on My Boots’ as like the song that you pull up to the club or the party and you’ve got your windows down and you’re blaring ‘Dirt on My Boots.’ I always felt like that was what this song had. It has an attitude, it has a working man, it’s got taking out the girl and it’s got a great dance beat, and all those together, I knew it was gonna be a great song for radio.”

Jon is nominated for ACM New Male Vocalist of the Year. The 52nd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, hosted by Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley, will be broadcast live from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas April 2nd at 8pm ET/delayed PT on CBS.

“It’s flown up the charts. It’s been great. I knew when I heard it, it was a hit. It had something about it that was familiar something, like it had that radio sound. So, to have a big follow-up from ‘Head Over Boots,’ was awesome. We always get some crap about, you know, ‘Aww, two boot songs,’ but they’re two different songs. They’re two different songs with two different attitudes. I wear boots all the time, so Lucchese, look out!” [laughs]
