• CHRIS STAPLETON RELEASES NEW SINGLE, “THINK I’M IN LOVE WITH YOU.”

Hot on the heels of his new No. 1 song, “White Horse,” Chris Stapleton has released his follow-up single, “Think I’m In Love With You,” both from his 2023 album Higher. He wrote the song by himself and co-produced it with longtime producer Dave Cobb and his wife Morgane Stapleton. The song goes for ADDs February 12th.

He says in the studio, the recording process for “Think I’m In Love With You” was kept pretty simple, which really brings the lyrics and vocals to the forefront. “When we were recording ‘Think I’m In Love With You,’ we were making sure that we were all playing as quietly as possible, and I think that really informs the song.”

Chris earned three nominations at this year’s GRAMMY Awards, including Best Country Song (“White Horse”), Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Duo/Group Performance as a featured performer on Carly Pearce’s “We Don’t Fight Anymore.”

The 66th Annual GRAMMY Awards will take place live from the Crypto.com in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 4th beginning at 8pm ET/7pm CT.

  • DALTON DOVER READIES NEW COLLECTION TAKE ME HOME: COVERS SET FOR FEBRUARY 9TH.

Growing up in Polk County, Georgia, Dalton Dover is no stranger to rural origins. His love of country music was sparked by his grandfather, who introduced him to a wellspring of artists that traversed decades of tradition. With Take Me Home: Covers, set for release February 9 via UMG Nashville/Mercury Records, Dover is paying homage to his roots and saluting some of the songs that first enamored him to the genre.

Pre-save Take Me Home: Covers | HERE

“I grew up in a musical family, where we’d sing at church and then go home and keep singing,” reveals Dover. “My grandpa would put on his favorite records, and I’d listen to the stories. Seeing my own life in those lyrics is what made me fall in love with country music, and I can’t think of a better way to honor that than sharing these songs.”

    https://twitter.com/DaltonDover3/status/1752000392269824469

Although the full track list is yet to be revealed, Dover recently released a rendition of John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads,” earning MusicRow’s “Disc of the Day” and praising, “He remains one of our finest young country voices. Think again, if you think you’ve heard this oldie often enough. Dover’s slowed-down, gentle, caressing, thoughtful reading of the lyric brings a whole new dimension to the song. This man has the goods. A loud, ‘Amen’ from this corner.”

Wide Open Country observes, “By singing one we all know, Dover drew attention to his smooth twang and his innate ability to make us feel the emotions packed in every line,” calling him “one of the more captivating young artists to sign a big-label deal in recent memory.”

After honing his live show with festival dates and supporting acts such as Luke Combs, Tyler Hubbard, Sam Hunt, Parker McCollum, Justin Moore and Chase Rice, Dover is gearing up to embark on his first headlining club tour with his Never Giving Up On That Tour, kicking off February 23rd among dates on Larry Fleet’s The Earned It Tour. • CHRIS STAPLETON SCORES A NO. 1 WITH “WHITE HORSE.”

Chris Stapleton‘s “White Horse” climbed to the top of the country charts, marking his fourth time at No. 1 as an artist. He co-wrote the song with Dan Wilson nearly 12 years ago when they were tasked to write a song for potential placement in the 2013 Lone Ranger movie (which starred Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer), and while it didn’t make the movie soundtrack, it is featured prominently on Chris’ latest album, Higher.

“’White Horse’ was a song that I wrote with my friend, Dan Wilson,” says the reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year. “We were out in Los Angeles, it was about I think probably late 2012, early 2013, and there was a movie called the Lone Ranger that was coming out, and I walked in the room to write with Dan at his house, and he said, ‘Hey they’re looking for songs for this Lone Ranger movie.’ I said, ‘Cool. Let’s write something. What do you know about it?’ He goes, ‘Well, we don’t really know anything.’ I was like, ‘Well, let’s just make a song that might sound like that.’ And so, that’s kind of where that came from, and we got to talking about how it would be cool to have a kind of rock-driven-western-themed song, and that’s kind of where the song came from and we kind of built it around a guitar riff, really.”

  • ANNE WILSON LEAVES THE “RAIN IN THE REARVIEW” IN PURSUIT OF CLEARER SKIES AHEAD.

PLATINUM-certified, GRAMMY-nominated artist and songwriter Anne Wilson has unveiled the music video for her debut Country single, “Rain In The Rearview,” exclusively on CMT/Paramount Times Square billboards, CMT, CMT Music and CMT.com.  The music video comes just days after she was revealed as a member of the coveted 2024 CMT Next Women of Country class.

Directed by ACM Award-winner TK McKamy, the music video is a visual allegory for Anne’s journey. The video begins with Wilson driving in her car as rain begins to pour before the imagery takes a poignant turn, finding Wilson standing strong in the pouring rain – a powerful symbol of finding strength in the midst of challenges. The video comes to a close as Wilson drives into the unknown, taking a bold leap towards brighter days ahead.

“The three versions of me and the perspectives of all three were so accurate to how my life has been,” Wilson shares with CMT. “We all go through different seasons and sometimes need the reminder that we can leave our past behind us.”

“I love this music video so much. We were working through the idea and concept behind it. It was really about portraying three different versions of myself – the happy version, which is the healed version; the driver, which is kind of plowing through everything and then the one that is sad and kind of looking on the past and reflecting what has come before,” says the Kentucky native. “And I love the reminder in this music video and getting to work with T.K. McKamy on this treatment of how can we take this song and dive deeper into what it means? And I think in life we all go through different seasons where we’re either fully healed, we’re still looking back and struggling with depression and anxiety from the past or we’re driving in the seat and we’re going ahead for what’s to come. So, I love that we got to portray all three of those in this video.”

Her sister, Elizabeth, is also in the video as her double. She tells CMT, “People have always said we look like twins, so it was a blast finally getting to pretend like we are! My sister is my stylist and best friend so having her a part of this was truly an honor.”

The track, currently spinning at Country radio now, was penned by Wilson, Matthew West, Jaren Johnston and Zach Kale. Garnering praise from critics since its release in September, MusicRow notes that “vocally she’s got the goods” and Billboard cites the “acoustic coda showcases Wilson’s ceiling-scraping vocal capabilities.” Released as part of her bold new venture that fuses the Christian and Country genres, Holler noted that the new three-pack of songs, REBEL (The Beginning), “clearly outlines Wilson’s new country-leaning mission statement,” as two of the songs simultaneously make waves at Christian radio (“Strong”) and Country radio (“Rain In The Rearview”).

As she charges into 2024 with momentum like never before, Wilson hits the stage tonight with Scotty McCreery for his Cab In A Solo Tour as direct support, marking her first-ever Country tour. The tour, promoted by Live Nation, will trek across the U.S. with stops in Atlanta, Philadelphia, Boston and more. Tickets are available for purchase at annewilsonofficial.com.

Earlier this month, Wilson was tapped as one of Spotify’s Hot Country Artists to Watch 2024, further cementing her position as one on the rise from CMT, Music Mayhem, Pandora and more. For dates and more information, visit www.annewilsonofficial.com and keep up with her on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.

“I’m working with one of my favorite directors of all-time. It’s T.K. McKamy, and it’s been so fun to get to work on this video together so far. I love getting to create stories from songs and narratives and getting to portray different people in the video. I can’t wait for y’all to see this music video. I hope that it touches you and reminds you of the heart behind the song.”

  • REBA McENTIRE FINDS ACTING UNIQUELY CREATIVE.

Reba McEntire not only has a string of hits, a bookshelf full of awards, a clothing line, a restaurant, books and more, but she also has acting credits a mile long. Reba finds acting to be another kind of creative outlet and enjoys stepping into a role because she gets to be a different character.

“It’s another creative outlet – that’s why I love acting,” she says. “When I did ‘Annie Get Your Gun,’ I got to sing, I got to act, but I also got to be another character. I wasn’t Reba McEntire, so that’s what I really enjoy doing – being outside my character.”

She is celebrating an anniversary on Friday (January 26th) of when she first took over in the title role of Broadway’s Annie Get Your Gun in 2001 at the Marquis Theater. She followed Bernadette Peters, Susan Lucci and Cheryl Ladd in the role, while Ethel Merman originated the role on Broadway in 1946. The Oklahoma native brought back nearly a 100% theater capacity in audience and captured the hearts of Broadway critics, as well.

Reba heads to Las Vegas to sing the National Anthem at this year’s Super Bowl on February 11th and will return to The Voice for Season 25 on February 26th on NBC. She’ll be joined by fellow coaches John Legend, Chance the Rapper and Dan + Shay on NBC.

Jon Pardi‘s latest single, “Cowboys And Plowboys” with Luke Bryan is climbing the country charts, and he said one of the co-writers — Rhett Akins — is the one who first sent it to him and suggested he get Luke to record the song with him. It didn’t take long for Luke to reach out to him.

“I remember hearing it for the first time ‘cause Rhett Akins sent it to me and said, ‘You and Luke need to record this song,’” says Jon. “Luke called me like an hour later was like, ‘We gonna do this song, man?’ And it was just perfect.
