• ALAN JACKSON NAMED CMT “ARTIST OF A LIFETIME.”

Country superstar Alan Jackson will be honored with the Artist of a Lifetime award (presented by Ram Trucks) at the 2022 CMT Artists of the Year celebration, joining the ranks of previous recipients Randy Travis, Reba McEntire, Loretta Lynn, Shania Twain, Kenny Rogers and Merle Haggard as he’s celebrated by his peers for a remarkable career spanning more than three decades.

“I believe I’ve made more videos than just about anybody, and I know how important they have been in bringing my songs to life for the fans, so thank you CMT for all the years and for this sweet honor,” Jackson says. “I’m very proud.”

“We’re honored to recognize the incomparable Alan Jackson as this year’s CMT Artist of a Lifetime. For more than 30 years, his traditional sound, iconic voice and beloved catalog of music has captivated audiences across the globe and his talent as a recording artist and songwriter are simply unmatched,” shared CMT producers. CMT Artists of the Year will air as a 90-minute special on the network, premiering Friday, October 14 (9:00pm ET/8:00pm CT).

Jackson’s history with CMT runs deep. He has made and released nearly 60 iconic music videos, starting with his debut single…two of which were honored as the CMA Video of the Year (“Chattahoochee” and “Midnight in Montgomery”), another recognized as the ACM Video of the Year (“Drive (For Daddy Gene)”). He was honored as a “CMT Giant” in 2008…and he received the inaugural Impact Award at the 2014 CMT Music Awards. Jackson has also ranked Number 1 on both CMT’s 40 Greatest Songs of the Decade and CMT’s fan-voted 20 Greatest Men in Country Music lists.

The Artist of a Lifetime honor is just the latest event in a year that’s already proven memorable for the entertainer. Jackson has been playing to full houses and sellout crowds on his Last Call: One More for the Road Tour since its early summer launch (the tour heads to the West this weekend with stops in Phoenix, AZ and Anaheim, CA…continuing next weekend with a swing to the Northeast that brings over three decades of music to Atlantic City, NJ and Pittsburgh, PA). He recently unveiled Silverbelly, a premium bourbon whiskey distilled exclusively for – and hand-selected by – the country superstar, which is available in several states and continues its nationwide rollout this fall. And AJ’s Good Time Bar, his four-story honky-tonk in the heart of downtown Nashville featuring daily live music and a rooftop view of Music City remains a top draw for tourists and locals alike.

In addition to Jackson as this year’s Artist of a Lifetime, the 2022 CMT Artists of the Year special will showcase previously announced honorees Carly Pearce, Cody Johnson, Kane Brown, Luke Combs and Walker Hayes.

  • CARRIE UNDERWOOD CELEBRATES A GREAT YEAR IN COUNTRY MUSIC WITH CMA ENTERTAINER OF THE YEAR NOMINATION.

As Carrie Underwood prepares for the upcoming DENIM & RHINESTONES TOUR, she reflects on her Entertainer of the Year nomination for this year’s CMA Awards.

“It is, I mean, obviously such an honor to be nominated in Entertainer of the Year,” says Carrie. “Obviously, that’s such a tough category to be in, ‘cause there’s just so, I don’t even want to call it competition, there’s just so many hard working artists out there that are just pouring themselves and their time and their energy and their love and their artistry into what they do. Obviously just to even be in the final category is just absolutely amazing and hopefully, above all, we can all just remember that it’s a celebration of a great year in country music and in our careers as artists, so we’ll just see what happens, but definitely excited to be in that category.”

Carrie is also nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year and Musical Event of the Year with Jason Aldean for “If I Didn’t Love You.” The 56th Annual CMA Awards will air live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena November 8th at 8pm ET on ABC.

Her tour will kick off on October 15th in Greenville, South Carolina, making stops in 43 U.S. cities including New York’s Madison Square Garden, Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, and L.A.’s Crypto.com Arena before concluding in Seattle, Washington on March 17th.  Carrie will be joined on THE DENIM & RHINESTONES TOUR by special guest Jimmie Allen on all dates.

Carrie is making her way up the country charts with her latest single, “Ghost Story.”

  • KYLIE MORGAN SENDS LOVE TO EVERYONE AFFECTED BY HURRICANE IAN; POSTPONES DESTINATION WEDDING.

EMI Nashville’s Kylie Morgan and her fiancé Jay Allen (who is a contestant on NBC’s The Voice) made the hard decision to postpone their destination beachside wedding, which was scheduled for this Saturday (October 1st) in Fort Myers, Florida, due to Hurricane Ian.

Earlier this week, she and Jay posted a video to socials giving a head’s up that the wedding might be canceled, but the two weren’t quite sure if the trajectory of the massive storm would end up hitting Fort Myers, which it did in full force.

On Wednesday (September 28th) , they made the decision to postpone the wedding, since their wedding venue is under water due to the catastrophic storm. While their disappointment was palpable, their concern and worry over the safety of the residents of Florida was their top priority.

“I just wanted to say that our thoughts and our prayers are with Fort Myers, and all of Florida,” says Kylie. “This is affecting so many, us included with having to move our wedding this weekend. We were supposed to have a beautiful, sunny wedding on Fort Myers Beach, and now our venue is completely under water. But that is literally the last of our priorities. We just want to make sure everyone is safe, and that we continue to pray for everyone affected by this. Sending all of our love and all of our light and just sending positive vibes. There will be a lot of work to be done for the aftermath of the hurricane, but we will get through this.”

Kylie and Jay are now planning a relief concert for the people affected by Hurricane Ian.

  • LUKE BRYAN WRAPS FARM TOUR 2022.

Five-time Entertainer of the Year Luke Bryan headlined his thirteenth FARM TOUR this fall, wrapping up a run of six concerts on Saturday night. Luke’s annual tour brings a large scale concert into small towns setting up stages in the fields of local farmers. Riley Green, Jameson Rodgers, the Peach Pickers, and DJ Rock were the special guests.

More than 100,000 fans have attended the tour each year since its inception in 2009. Luke continues to give back to the farmers by awarding college scholarships to students from farming families who are attending the local college or university near the tour stops. To date, 78 scholarships have been granted.

Continuing a partnership that began in 2015, Bayer joined the tour as presenting sponsor and teamed up with Luke to help celebrate America’s farmers and fight hunger through its #HerestotheFarmer campaign. The campaign supports Bayer’s vision of Health for All, Hunger for None and asks fans across the United States to share the hashtag #HerestotheFarmer on their social media channels to show their gratitude to America’s farmers. From June 1 through October 31, 2022, for every share, Bayer will provide one meal± to a person in need through Feeding America® with the goal of helping to provide 1 million meals. Since the partnership’s inception, 6 million meals have been donated to date and more than $180,000 has gone to Feeding America member food banks and local farmers at each of the tour cities. (±$1 helps provide at least 10 meals secured by Feeding America on behalf of local member food banks. From 06/01/2022 to 10/31/2022 Bayer guarantees the financial equivalent of 1,000,000 meals ($100,000) in conjunction with the promotion.)

In time for the Farm Tour, Luke teamed up with the National Pork Board in their on-going campaign to dispel common misconceptions about modern pig farming. They in turn partnered with Farmland®, a brand of Smithfield Foods, to donate a truckload of protein to local foodbanks in each of the states that hosted the six Farm Tour stops. The donations will help provide high-quality protein, which is one of the most valuable resources food banks distribute – to help fight food insecurity across the Midwest. Farmland also donated $9,000 to each state’s FFA Association.

Luke joined Farm Tour sponsor Fendt in creating the Luke Bryan’s Boldly Grown Popcorn, a limited-edition packaged snack. When the limited supply sold-out, Fendt donated $25,000 to the National FFA Organization, the premier youth organization that prepares members for leadership and careers in the science, business, and technology of agriculture.

She tells us she loves putting set lists together, but admits it is tough to pick which songs should stay in the show and which ones she has to leave out.

“I definitely like putting set lists together, but it is very difficult because there’s just not enough time,” says Carrie. “If it were up to me and up to my voice holding out, I’d probably do like a four-hour show. It’s just really hard to figure out what songs you’re not going to do and there’s always ones that it’s like, ‘Aw, but I love that song!’ but it doesn’t work with the flow or whatever. It’s fun, but it’s hard, but then you definitely want it to flow and for people just to be able to listen and have a great time and to sing along and for everything to make sense.”

Carrie is currently making her way to the top of the country charts with “Ghost Story.”

Jon Pardi has released his new single, “Your Heart Or Mine,” the follow-up to his recent No. 1 hit, “Last Night Lonely.” The song, written by Bart Butler, Justin Ebach and John Pierce, is from his new album, Mr. Saturday Night.

Is it your heart or mine
    Is it whiskey or wine
Is it somethin’ in the night
Makin’ us wanna cross that line
    Girl, we’re playin’ with fire
    Love ain’t too far behind
It’s just a matter of time ‘til it finds
    Your heart or mine

“’Your Heart Or Mine’ is definitely a song that’s a push-pull relationship, like do I want this? Do I, I know I want this, but it’s so much fun,” says Jon. “It’s kind of sexy, so it’s definitely a different one for the record, but I think it’s awesome.”

Jon takes his Ain’t Always The Cowboy Tour to Southaven, Mississippi on Thursday (September 29th), Huntsville, Alabama on Friday (September 30th) and Nashville on Saturday (October 1st).

  • TYLER HUBBARD DROPS NEW VIDEO FOR “INSIDE AND OUT.”

Tyler Hubbard released a new music video today for the song “Inside And Out” off his six-song project Dancin’ In The Country. The song, co-written by Hubbard, Jordan Schmidt, Trevor Rosen and Brad Tursi, is about where true beauty lies.

“This is one of my favorite songs, and I’m really excited for people to hear and see the message behind it through the video,” says Hubbard. “‘Inside And Out’ is also a family favorite, and my daughter calls it ‘her song,’ but the message is universal.  I want my wife, kids, and really anyone listening, to know that inner beauty is more important than outer beauty…and I want everyone to hear that message in this song. When I watch the video, I’m reminded of being a child and the innocence and the fun and the beauty of that stage of life.  I hope as adults, we can channel and remember the inner child that’s within all of us.”

Set in a local park in Nashville, the video captures that essence and heart of being a child – while Tyler sings about self-worth, attaining confidence, and the importance of knowing that people are both beautiful on the inside and out.

Tyler Hubbard’s first six-song project, Dancin’ In The Country, debuted with over 10,000 SPS units (sales plus streaming) making it the second best-selling country EP debut of the year. Dancin’ In The Country also debuted at No.1 on the Heatseekers Albums chart, No. 6 on the Current Country Albums sales chart, and No. 107 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. Billboard says of the debut collection, “The singer-songwriter has offered a promising collection of six tracks on Dancin’ In The Country, which make good use of his pliable voice and storytelling panache by supporting them with full-bodied production.” Hubbard’s first single as a solo artist, “5 Foot 9,” already has 137M LTD streams and currently sits at No. 5 at country radio. The song also quickly moved inside the Top 50 on the streaming chart in its first four weeks and currently sits at No. 7 on the Country Streaming Chart. Hubbard’s debut solo album will be released on January 27, 2023.

Hubbard is currently on tour on Keith Urban’s “THE SPEED OF NOW WORLD TOUR.” For information on where to get tickets go to www.tylerhubbardofficial.com.
