• PRISCILLA BLOCK SET TO RELEASE HER DEBUT ALBUM, WELCOME TO THE BLOCK PARTY, THIS WEEK.

Priscilla Block is ready to release her debut album, Welcome To The Block Party, this Friday (February 11th). The collection, which she’s been working on for about two years, follows last year’s six-song self-titled Priscilla Block EP, the highest-performing country female debut EP of 2021. Bringing a lyrically driven blend of Country-Pop and Southern Rock – a.k.a. the “Block Party” sound – to Nashville’s evolving musical landscape, Welcome To The Block Party features 12 songs, all written by the newcomer, including “Just About Over You,” the Top 15 smash and highest peaking debut single from a female country artist in 2021.

The North Carolina native is so proud of the debut album, the writers and producers and feels the songs describe her as a person.

“Creating this album has honestly been done over the past couple years, and I couldn’t be more proud of it,” says Priscilla. “You know, from the writers to the producers, these are all people I’m really close to and I’m super proud of these songs, and I feel like collectively, it all describes who I am as a person, and welcome to the Block Party, baby!”

“Priscilla’s songs emanate authenticity, making others feel they have a place at the table, and someone new to relate to” – MusicRow

Recently, Priscilla released her latest single, “My Bar,” off her debut album. The defiantly self-assured song was the most added on country radio – landing 52 stations in its first week of release.

  • ERIC CHURCH’S CHIEF’S COMING TO DOWNTOWN NASHVILLE.

Multi-Platinum superstar Eric Church has partnered with real estate and hospitality entrepreneur Ben Weprin as co-owners of new six-story property Chief’s at the corner of 2nd Avenue and Broadway in downtown Nashville, with plans to begin renovating the food, beverage and live entertainment space this year.

“I remember driving through downtown Nashville over 20 years ago with a pawn shop guitar, riding shotgun in a beat-to-hell truck just trying to chase a dream,” reflects Church. “Chief’s is the culmination of catching that dream. Like everything else we do in our career, I wouldn’t even attempt a project like this if I didn’t think it would be the best, so that’s what Chief’s will be: the best.”

With Esquire praising Church as “one of the most singular working artists in any genre,” and Stereogum celebrating him as “one of the biggest touring musicians on earth,” the critically acclaimed entertainer’s passion for live music will be on full display with an intimate seated music venue within the space. His roots in the Carolinas will also be reflected on the rooftop of the former Cotton Eyed Joe building, with renowned Charleston pitmaster and James Beard Award winner Rodney Scott bringing his Whole Hog BBQ to Music City.

“I am beyond excited to not only bring Rodney Scott’s Whole Hog BBQ to Music City, but to also partner with my good friends Eric and Ben on this project,” says Scott. “Anyone who knows me, knows that I love music – so the opportunity to expand the brand in partnership with an award-winning musician makes this project extra special! I can’t wait to share our Carolina roots and our whole hog BBQ with the incredible people of Nashville.”

Church, who set the Nissan Stadium concert attendance record of 56,521 across the river from where Chief’s will stand, has been closely involved in the planning process for the venue, which will reflect his storied career of 30 Gold, Platinum and multi-Platinum singles – from his Sinners Like Me debut through current Top 15-and-climbing single “Heart On Fire” and beyond.

“Bringing a seated music venue to Lower Broadway while revitalizing and preserving a historic building is exactly the kind of investment Nashville’s entertainment sector needs,” notes Mayor John Cooper. “I thank the partners involved for keeping the character of the building while creating a new concept for locals and our visitors to enjoy.”

“Pairing Eric’s talent and passion for music and his work ethic with a new restaurant, bar, performance hall and more downtown is a recipe for success,” adds Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp CEO Butch Spyridon. “The fact that he is doing this in a historic building that will transform the gateway to historic Second Avenue is truly a bonus as that street recovers from 2020’s unfortunate incident.”

“I am partnering with my closest friend and, in my opinion, the greatest hotel entrepreneur on earth, Ben Weprin, and the greatest barbecue chef in the world, Rodney Scott,” continues Church. “Together we will create an experience unique to Nashville and absolutely unparalleled in the world of music, food, fellowship and entertainment. This is my hometown. This is personal. This matters. Every detail of Chief’s will feel that way. I cannot wait to get started. See you in 2023.”

In addition to launching Chief’s, Church is currently playing in-the-round arena shows across the U.S. and Canada on The Gather Again Tour. Tickets to all dates, including the U.S. finale at New York City’s iconic Madison Square Garden, are on sale now at EricChurch.com. • LUKE BRYAN IS READY TO HIT THE STAGE IN LAS VEGAS FOR HIS RESIDENCY AT RESORTS WORLD.

Luke Bryan is excited to get on stage at Resorts World on Friday for his first-ever headlining-run of shows in Las Vegas, which begin Friday (February 11th) The concerts will take place at The Theatre at Resorts World Las Vegas, a 5,000-capacity, world-class theatre that opened last November. Carrie Underwood and Katy Perry have already played shows there, and Luke has many more to come. Click here for more information on his residency, as well as dates on his Raised Up Right Tour.

He says the stage is about the size of his stadium show stages, if not bigger, and they were able to build the set for his residency to accommodate the stage and use all the bells and whistles.

“The stage is the size of a stadium show stage. I mean, it may even be bigger, and when we do amphitheaters, sometimes they get really small, and we have to cut back all of our tricks and bells and whistles,” he explains. The thing about here in Vegas is we’re able to build a set that is tailored to how big the stage is, and every part of our stage has function and is mobile and moves. When Katy Perry did her first weekend here, I texted her how did it go? And she was like, it’s a big stage, get ready. So, we were able to kinda really add even more stuff to kind of make it feel big, but also make it feel intimate for the crowd.”

His pre-show routine won’t be much different than his customary rundown before he steps on stage. “You know, I’ve been really blessed to have done a lot of high-profile things from, Lord, doing the anthem at the Super Bowl and stadium shows and stuff like that,” says Luke. “I think the main thing for me is after all these years, I have a pretty cool routine that works and get a good night’s sleep, got all this family and friends coming in, you know get back in the dressing room, huddle up with the band, have a little pre-show toast and get out here and have fun. I mean, that’s what we’re supposed to be doing. I need to be on stage having fun.”

Since Luke, a sports fanatic, will be in Las Vegas during the Super Bowl matchup between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Los Angeles Rams, he already has a party planned for family and friends who will be in town. “We’re gonna have a fun set up here in the hotel and have a big Super Bowl Party here at Resorts World and with all our friends. It’ll be weird, ‘cause I’ve never done the Super Bowl on West Coast time, so I guess it starts at like 3:30p, so and then right when the Super Bowl’s done, I have to fly through the night to Hawaii to do American Idol. So, (I’ve) got to kind of have a tame Super Bowl.”

Luke is currently making his way UP the country charts with his latest single, “Up.”

Billy Currington (football fan) OC: …love football. :36
“I’m a big football fan. I mean, when I was growing up, if you asked me who my favorite team is now, I couldn’t tell you. But when I was a kid, it was the Dallas Cowboys. And I don’t know if it was because my mom bought my brother a Pittsburgh Steelers pennant for some reason, and bought me a Dallas Cowboys pennant, and of course over the year I fell in love with the Cowboys, and then I wanted a jersey the next Christmas, and then the next one, I wanted [more Cowboys stuff]. So, I became a long-term fan with those guys. But I like it all now that I’m older. I’ll watch any game, it doesn’t matter who’s playing. But [I] love football.”

Audio / Darius Rucker is a HUGE football fan, as everyone probably knows by now, and he explains why he loves football so much. SIDENOTE: He’s a huge Miami Dolphins fan, and word has it, just to be able to meet then Dolphins quarterback, Dan Marino, he asked him to be in a Hootie & the Blowfish video for “Only Wanna Be With You.”

“Ever since I was five years old, I’ve loved football, and I love how physical it is. I love the chess match of the game. I love the speed of the game. I love college football, but for me watching pro football is better because the speed is so much more. For me, there’s two times a year, man — football season and waiting for football season.”

Those people love playing that game as much as I love singing. I just love the heart and the drive and the passion behind it. I feel like those boys are playing as hard as they can – in college football and pro football – because it’s what they love to do and it’s their passion, and I just, I don’t know. I love it.”

Audio / Little Big Town’s beautiful and talented Karen Fairchild was a badass growing up when she was playing quarterback for her powder puff football team.

LBT (football story) OC: …my lip. :40
“I was the quarterback to my powder puff team. I was running the ball and I came around the corner – this was in high school – and a foreign exchange student, I think her name was Inga (KIMBERLY: “Inga.”), and I didn’t want to fumble ‘cause my brother and my dad were there, and I come from this very athletic family, so I held onto the ball. I knew I was going to go down, so I let my head hit first and I bit all the way through, but I didn’t fumble and I had a hole in my face, though. The sad thing is that it was just flag football, but I left my flags on and cleats and everything, ‘cause it looked cool, and I had blood running all down my jersey. I went to the emergency room like that, and they sewed up my lip.”

Audio / Luke Bryan talks about some of the food he likes to have while watching the Super Bowl.

Luke Bryan (Super Bowl food) OC: …over again. :22
“Definitely Super Bowl is like the queso, the Frito Lay scoops with the Ro-tel situation. I guess it’s like, what’s the black-eyed pea stuff too? All of that, just stuff that you can sit there and have lots of sodium, and then just, it’s like Thanksgiving all over again.”

Audio / Priscilla Block says Super Bowl Sunday is so much fun.

Priscilla Block (Football/Super Bowl food) OC: …what happens. :23
“I mean, I feel like the Super Bowl is like just such a fun day. I’m really excited for the half-time show. I feel like that’s usually why I’m there, is to watch the anthem and the half-time show, but yes, excited to eat all the bad things. And I’m honestly, I don’t feel pulled any way this year. I wish the (Tennessee) Titans were in it, but we’ll see what happens.”

Sam Hunt (Super Bowl & music) OC: …combined there. :24
“It’s become such a massive pop culture event, and I love that they’ve incorporated music and entertainment with the sport itself and the entertainment value that comes from that. It encompasses just a strong representation of American culture, and I’m a huge music fan, obviously, and I’m a huge sports fan, so those are two of my favorite worlds combined there.”

Audio / Travis Denning is excited about this year's Big Game because former Georgia quarterback Matt Stafford, who plays for the St. Louis Rams, is in the Super Bowl for the first time.

Travis Denning (Super Bowl 2022) OC: …amazing game. :35
“Hey y’all, Travis Denning here. I’m super fired up for this upcoming Super Bowl, mainly because Matt Stafford – a Georgia boy – is starting for the Rams. I’ve been a big fan of his since he played college at Georgia, obviously, and it’s amazing to see after 10-plus seasons, I think it’s like 13 seasons or something that he’s finally in the Super Bowl. So, I’m pulling for the Rams, but I’m a big Joe Burrow fan. I do like Joe Burrow. He’s fun, he’s hilarious, he’s an amazing football player, so I think it’s gonna be an amazing game.”

  • KEITH URBAN RELEASES “WILD HEARTS” MUSIC VIDEO FOR ALL THE DREAMERS.

“I wanted to create the feeling of the journey I’ve been on – hoping that one day I’d be playing live in front of as many people as can be jammed into a concert hall,” said Keith Urban of the “Wild Hearts” music video.  Of the boom box in the opening scenes of the new video, he says, “it represents the beginning, when I had no band, and I just played to a couple of people.”

But things didn’t stay that way for Urban and as the video and song reveals his was a steady climb driven by his own dream.  “The building I’m playing on starts rising higher, as my audience grows,” explains Urban.  “All of this leading to a starry sky becoming a sea of camera phones in the air – a phenomenal sight to see from any stage.”

And after nearly four years, Urban will have the chance to see them again.  “All of this gives me the same adrenaline rush. Knowing that we’re heading back out on the road again – it’s been so long since we’ve done that (because of COVID).  I feel like a caged animal kicking at the gate to be let out!”

THE SPEED OF NOW WORLD TOUR gets underway on April 28th at the O2 Academy Birmingham, the first of seven shows in the U.K., before launching in the U.S. on June 17th in Tampa, Florida.  Urban will also return to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace with shows on March 25, 26 and 30th, as well as April 1,2 and May 27, 28 and 29th. Up

In the sky, there’s a guy

    Lookin’ down on us

    Lookin’ up

Our whole life, raised up right

    In a town nobody knows

    What a way to grow
