  • KEITH URBAN IS WILD FOR HIS LATEST SINGLE.

Keith Urban’s “Wild Hearts” is closing in on Top 20 on the country charts, and it tells the story of his own wild heart, which started beating furiously at age five when his dad took him and the rest of his family to a Johnny Cash concert. He said once he was sent the song by the writers – Brad Tursi of Old Dominion, Jennifer Wayne of Runaway June and Eric Paslay – and he asked to rewrite some of the lyrics to reflect his story, it came together really quickly from start to a finished record.

“I got sent the song in early May, and I rewrote the lyrics within a couple of weeks of getting the track without the vocals on it, so I could work on that. And once I got those where I wanted them, I went down into my studio and put down a vocal on the song and then I added guitars and I sort of built out the demo that I got sent,” says Keith. “Everything was done so quick, and then I sent it to my manager to say, ‘Hey, we just did this last week. What do you think about this song?’ And he said, ‘I think we should put that song out.’ I went, ‘When?’ He was like, ‘Now!’ (laughs) He’s like, ‘This just sounds great.’ And we played it for a bunch of different people, and everybody just loved it.”

During this crazy time we’ve all been living for the past nearly two years, Keith feels people have responded to the message of the song. “I think people were responding to the message. It’s a universal want, I think, to have a song motivate us at the times when we need it in our lives. This song was just magical, I think, how quick it was done, how quick it made its way into a finished record to how soon we were releasing it – all very, very fast through for anything I’ve ever done, so I think there’s other powers at work with this song.”

Keith is set to kick off the North American leg of his first world tour in four years, THE SPEED OF NOW WORLD TOUR, June 17th in Tampa, Florida. Prior to the summer/fall run in North America, he’ll be across the pond in the spring with dates in the U-K before heading to his Las Vegas residency in May.

  • JORDAN DAVIS IS ON THE MOVE.

Jordan Davis is not only moving up the country charts with his latest single “Buy Dirt” (featuring Luke Bryan), but he and his family are also in the midst of moving into a new house, which just so happens to be right down the street from his brother Jacob Davis, his wife and three girls. With his growing family, which includes wife Kristen, daughter Eloise and now son Locklan, they’re needing a bit more room.

“We’re in the middle of a move now, like basically right down the street from my brother, my nieces and sister-in-law, which I think is gonna be so awesome for the kids,” says Jordan. “They’re already excited about it being so much closer to cousin(s) Eloise and Locklan, and I’m excited to get to see my nieces more. So, to us it’s faith, family and friends and we want to instill that in our kiddos and we want them to know that you take care of those three things first, and then we worry about everything else. And I feel like me and Kristen both are trying to kinda get that ball rolling in the direction where both Eloise and Locklan know how important family is, and I know that my brother and my sister both know that as well, and I’m just excited that we’ll be closer and get to see them more.”

  • PRISCILLA BLOCK RELEASES HER NEW SINGLE, “MY BAR.”

Priscilla Block has released her brand-new song “My Bar,” a defiantly independent track written by Block, Stone Aielli and Lexie Hayden.

“’My Bar’ is a song we wrote probably two or three years ago, and it’s funny because I’ve always loved this song and when I wrote it, I could kind of hear potentially a guy cutting this song. And I thought it’s kinda cool hearing a girl say ‘This is my bar.’ Like, everyone knows a guy loves a good bar, but why can’t a girl love a good bar, and this song just kind of feels like my anthem.”

Illustrating her firm-footed approach as she embarks on this next chapter of her life, Block’s empowered stance in “My Bar” is a glimpse into the overall feeling of her debut album Welcome To The Block Party – an unapologetic recapturing of one’s own self-worth and unwavering confidence.

Welcome To The Block Party follows last year’s six-song self-titled Priscilla Block EP, the highest-performing country female debut EP of 2021. Bringing a lyrically driven blend of Country-Pop and Southern Rock – a.k.a. the “Block Party” sound – to Nashville’s evolving musical landscape, Welcome To The Block Party features 12 songs, all written by the newcomer, including “Just About Over You,” the Top 15 smash and highest peaking debut single from a female country artist in 2021.

  • DIERKS BENTLEY AND TRAVIS DENNING ENJOY THEIR “SNOW DAY” IN MIDDLE TENNESSEE.

Dierks Bentley enjoyed the snow day on Thursday as Mother Nature dumped 5-7-inches of powdery flakes on Nashville and Middle Tennessee. Not only did he and some buddies ride their bikes on worn paths through the woods, but he and his kids built a snow fort in their front yard (see below and click here on his Instastories). Dierks even enjoyed the snow fort Friday morning (January 7th) while drinking his am java.

Travis Denning went in a different direction: enjoying a frothy cocktail (margarita?) on his deck outside wearing shorts, boots, sleeveless shirt and a cowboy hat.
