• CARRIE UNDERWOOD STARS IN 2021 NBC SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL SHOW OPEN, PERFORMED ON INDUSTRIAL LIGHT & MAGIC’S CUTTING-EDGE LED SOUND STAGE.

In less than three weeks, on Sunday, September 12th on NBC and Peacock, seven-time Grammy Award-winner and multi-platinum recording artist Carrie Underwood stars in the debut of the 2021 show open for NBC’s Sunday Night Football, which has been primetime television’s No. 1 program for an unprecedented 10 consecutive years.

Shot at Industrial Light & Magic’s cutting edge LED sound stage utilizing the company’s StageCraft LED virtual production technology recently used in “The Mandalorian,” the 2021 Sunday Night Football show open for the first time will feature a virtual football tailgate as a backdrop for Underwood’s performance of “Waiting All Day For Sunday Night.”

“Shooting the new show open for Sunday Night Football is one of the highlights of my year,” said Underwood, who headlines the SNF show open for the ninth consecutive season.  “I just love the fact that we get to reinvent it every year.  The team behind these shoots is incredible and it’s always a really fun day, especially this year getting to work with such amazing state-of-the-art technology.”

In addition, the show open will highlight user-generated cameos from some of the NFL’s biggest stars, as well as fans’ self-recorded video from NFL tailgates.

“We are excited about this year’s new collaboration with Carrie, which utilizes virtual production technology to generate real-time environments for Carrie’s performance, including a ‘tailgate’ to salute this game’s great fans, who have been ‘waiting all day for Sunday night’ and will be incorporated with their own user-generated tailgate videos,” said Tripp Dixon, creative director of the SNF show open.

NBC’S SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL IS PRIMETIME TELEVISION’S NO. 1 SHOW FOR RECORD 10 CONSECUTIVE YEARS: NBC’s Sunday Night Football finished the 2020-21 TV season as primetime’s #1 TV show in all key metrics for an unprecedented 10th consecutive year – adding to its record for the most consecutive years atop the charts (since 1950), based on official live plus same day data provided by Nielsen. Sunday Night Football also ranked as the No. 1 show in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic for the 11th consecutive TV season.

Carrie recently announced her first-ever residency, REFLECTION: The Las Vegas Residency, at The Theatre at Resorts World Las Vegas, which will begin December 1st.

Audio / A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO, CARRIE UNDERWOOD TALKED ABOUT BEING A PART OF SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL.

    Download

Carrie Underwood (loves being a part of SNF) OC: …my whole life. :54
“I love being the voice of Sunday Night Football because I grew up watching football…from birth. I’m from Oklahoma – we’re a football state. It’s just a part of the country that everybody has their teams and there’s such an energy about it. We would drive down to Dallas and watch the Cowboys play whenever we could. There’s just something about being at a live sporting event or watching it on TV. You have your favorites. They have their rivals. There’s an excitement to it that really, it’s unlike anything else, so being a small part of that is absolutely amazing. It’s been so wonderful working with everybody at SNF, and I count myself very lucky and very blessed that I get to be a small part of something that I’ve loved my whole life.”

Reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year Luke Bryan played to a sold-out hometown crowd in Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena last night, the seventh stop on his “Proud To Be Right Here Tour” with dates scheduled through the fall. Dylan Scott and Caylee Hammack were the scheduled opening guests along with DJ Rock.

During Luke’s set Dylan and Caylee were brought back to the stage to perform “All My Friends Say” with him, both eagerly enjoying their first-ever performances at Bridgestone.

Fans were delighted by Luke’s planned surprise to have Jason Aldean join him as well as spontaneous showtime surprise guest appearances by Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard and Morgan Wallen, who was warmly welcomed back to the stage by Luke’s fans.

At the close of the concert Luke exclaimed, “This has been one of the favorite nights of my life!”

Last night’s concert marks the fifth consecutive time Luke has sold-out Bridgestone Arena with back-to-back sold-out dates in the Arena in both 2013 and 2017.

In 2015 Luke became the only country act to sell out Vanderbilt Stadium joining an elite list of musicians like the Dave Matthews Band, Paul McCartney, Pink Floyd, the Rolling Stones and U2.  In 2018, Luke’s concert on Broadway drew 30,000 fans to celebrate the grand opening of LUKE’S 32 BRDIGE FOOD + DRINK and in 2017 60,000 fans gathered in downtown Music City to see Luke perform from the rooftop of Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge as the Nashville Predators played game 6 for the Stanley Cup.

Since the tour launched earlier this month, media has exclaimed Luke’s performances “set the bar high for the rest of the concert season,” “was electrifying” as “the excitement of watching live music was evident in the crowd” and he “remains an imminently affable presence on stage.”

  • TRAVIS DENNING’S NEW STUDIO EP DIRT ROAD DOWN IS AVAILABLE TODAY.

Mercury Nashville Recording artist Travis Denning released his sophomore six-song set DIRT ROAD DOWN today, available to listen here. Mixing Denning’s personality with a hunger for the stage and a shot of his whiskey-rocking country sound, the collection includes Denning’s current, joyfully untamed goodbye singalong, “ABBY,” and five additional songs co-written by Denning. The new release is the follow up to Denning’s Top 20 debut EP.

    https://twitter.com/Travis_Denning/status/1423267974253891585

Produced by Jeremy Stover, each track explores what makes Denning tick and with its high energy, blazing guitar solos and clever imagery the new set is tailor-made for Denning’s live show as he undertakes a summer stint out on the road with Brothers Osborne.  New tracks including “Grew Up With a Truck” hitches feel-good country nostalgia to a diesel-powered hook, “I Went Fishin’,” allows listeners to get to know the guy behind the guitar and the title track “Dirt Road Down” explores his love of a twisted, pure-country lyric, taking multiple routes to the same romantic destination. Previously released songs “Jack And Coke” and “Call It Country” showcase Denning’s uniquely reverent view of small-town life.

DIRT ROAD DOWN – Official Track List:

    1. Call It Country (Travis Denning, Jessi Alexander, Chris Stevens)
    2.  Dirt Road Down (Travis Denning, Taylor Phillips, Cole Taylor, Will Weatherly)
    3.  Jack And Coke (Travis Denning, CJ Solar, Chris Stevens)
    4.  Grew Up With A Truck (Travis Denning)
    5.  I Went Fishin’ (Travis Denning, Thomas Archer, James McNair)
    6.  ABBY (Alternate Version) (Ashley Gorley, Matt Jenkins, Chase McGill)

A native of Warner Robins, Georgia, singer/songwriter Travis Denning’s “clever kiss-off” (Billboard) and “wickedly fun good-riddance anthem” (PEOPLE) “ABBY” follows his first No. One and GOLD-certified single in 2020 with the “shadowy” (Rolling Stone) “After A Few.” Accelerating his ascend from a chart-topping single, the song is taken from his debut EP BEER’S BETTER COLD that debuted in the Top 20 of Billboard’s Country Albums chart. Denning first made waves with the release of his Top 40 debut single “David Ashley Parker From Powder Springs.” Denning has previously toured with Dustin Lynch, Cole Swindell, Alan Jackson, Riley Green, headlined his own “Heartbeat Of A Small Town Tour. With over 422 million streams worldwide, Denning has been spotlighted for his head-turning sound and was previously selected as one of CRS New Faces, an Opry NextStage recipient and a CMA KixStart Artist, as he makes his mark within the industry. Inspired at a young age, Denning developed a love for country, pop, rock and heavy metal and started playing local bars from the age of 16, as he built a strong following from his distinctive songs and raucous guitar solos. A prolific writer with an unquestionable stage presence, Denning moved to Nashville and secured outside cuts by Jason Aldean, Justin Moore, Michael Ray and more. • DARIUS RUCKER SURPASSES $2.5 MILLION RAISED FOR ST. JUDE CHILDREN’S RESEARCH HOSPITAL WITH 12TH ANNUAL “DARIUS & FRIENDS.”

Nearly 15 years after first visiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® where he was immediately inspired to pledge his support, three-time GRAMMY Award winner Darius Rucker continues to give back to the mission, surpassing the $2.5 million mark in his fundraising efforts with this year’s 12th annual “Darius & Friends” benefit concert on Tuesday night, preceded by his corresponding golf tournament and silent auction on Monday morning. This year’s event alone raised more than $410,000, bringing together a sold-out audience at the historic Ryman Auditorium with at-home fans watching via the Mandolin live stream.

Reflecting on his first visit to the hospital in 2008 to the Tennessean ahead of this year’s show, Rucker noted, “You see these kids who are sick, and they’re so happy to be there, because their caregivers are so loving and giving to them. And then you find out that nobody ever gets a bill. That blew me away. I was just like, ‘We’ll figure out some way to help you guys as much as I can.’”

Now, more than a decade later, that effort has become an annual tradition. The benefit concert, which typically serves as an unofficial kickoff to CMA Fest as fans descend on Music City each summer, was hosted virtually in 2020 due to the ongoing pandemic. In returning home to the iconic Ryman Auditorium this year, the live stream was also kept in place to allow fans at home to tune in alongside the sold-out audience who were treated to a surprise lineup of stars featuring Jason Aldean, Brothers Osborne, John Daly, Keb’ Mo’, Runaway June and Elvie Shane.

After a silent auction and live donation round, Rucker kicked off the musical festivities with a trio of hits – his Platinum-certified No. 1s “This” and “For the First Time” followed by current single “My Masterpiece” – before introducing the first friends of the evening.

“I’ve been in this town for 12 years and I’ve gotten to know a lot of people,” Rucker noted, “but some people you get to really know and they become family. These guys are family.” With that, the Ryman audience gave a rousing welcome to six-time GRAMMY nominees Brothers Osborne, who brought a high-energy performance of their hits “It Ain’t My Fault,” “I’m Not For Everyone” and “Shoot Me Straight.”

“You’ve got to drop the name and tell the story, right?” said Rucker as he returned to the stage, sharing the tale behind an Ed Sheeran cowrite that resulted in brand new song “Sara,” a where-are-they-now ode to Rucker’s fifth grade girlfriend. He then thrilled the crowd with his Double Platinum-certified No. 1 “Alright” before introducing newcomer Elvie Shane, making his Ryman debut with an emotional performance of current Top 10 single “My Boy,” which drew a standing ovation from the audience, and keeping the crowd on their feet with upbeat anthem “Keep On Strummin’.”

“I was working retail in the early Hootie days, selling records,” shared Rucker as he returned to the stage, “and this song by Nanci Griffith was playing one day. It blew my mind, and it started my love for Country music… Years later, my mom had a heart attack and went into a coma. I sat in that hospital room for eight hours and I sang this song over and over. This week Nanci died. She’s one of my great friends and I want to play this song because it means so much to me,” he noted, before performing an emotional rendition of “I Hope It Rains” in tribute to his late friend.

Rucker then invited yet another surprise guest to the stage, sending the audience into a frenzy as he introduced legendary golfer John Daly. Together, they performed a rousing rendition of “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door” before Rucker continued with his hits “Homegrown Honey” and “If I Told You” as well as Hootie & the Blowfish classic “Hold My Hand.”

“I would do anything for him, and I know he’d do anything for me,” shared Rucker of his next guest, introducing three-peat ACM Entertainer of the Year Jason Aldean. “He did me dirty making me follow a Hootie song,” joked Aldean, before noting “Darius really is one of the nicest, coolest guys in town and so it’s a pleasure to be here, especially for St. Jude.”

Sitting on a stool and accompanied by a single guitar player, Aldean thrilled the crowd with stripped-back versions of his 3x Platinum No. 1 hit “Big Green Tractor” and Gold-certified No. 1 “Any Ol’ Barstool.” Rucker then returned to the stage to perform “Radio” and Hootie hit “Only Wanna Be With You,” ahead of introducing the penultimate guest for the evening; five-time GRAMMY Award winner Keb’ Mo’, who wowed with “Rita” and “I Remember You” before inviting Rucker back for a duet of the Marvin Gaye classic “What’s Going On,” earning a sustained ovation from the crowd.

Rucker kept the Hootie & the Blowfish nostalgia coming as he performed “Let Her Cry” under a single spotlight, accompanied by a violin and the chorus of a sold out Mother Church audience, before continuing the singalong with his latest No. 1 hit, “Beers And Sunshine.” He then introduced the final surprise guests of the evening, bringing trio Runaway June to the stage for their Ryman debut. The CMT “Next Women of Country” thrilled with their Top 5 hit “Buy My Own Drinks” and gave fans a preview of brand new music out this Friday with “T-Shirt” before inviting the audience to sing along for their rendition of the Tom Petty classic, “American Girl.”

Rucker closed out the main entertainment of the evening with his Platinum-certified No. 1 “Come Back Song” before returning to the stage for an encore that included a cover of “Valerie,” with Rucker backed by the powerful vocals of his keys player’s wife, Tiffany Turner, and an upbeat performance of album cut “Hands On Me.” The evening then ended according to tradition, with Rucker joined by the sold-out Ryman crowd for a “Wagon Wheel” singalong, the feel-good energy throughout the auditorium symbolic of the night as a whole.

This year’s milestone fundraising event adds yet another successful page to the decade-plus history of “Darius & Friends.” Prior guests have included Lauren Alaina, Brooks & Dunn, Kane Brown, Luke Bryan, Sheryl Crow, Ashley McBryde, A.J. McLean of the Backstreet Boys, Brad Paisley, Kenny Rogers and Paul Stanley of KISS, among many others.

The annual fundraising event, made possible with support from generous sponsors PGA TOUR, CDW, Hendrix Enterprises, UMG, CAA, A. O. Smith, AMD, Arrow and Intel, helps ensure families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.

  • SAM WILLIAMS RELEASES DEBUT ALBUM GLASSHOUSE CHILDREN TODAY VIA MERCURY NASHVILLE.

[‘Can’t Fool Your Own Blood’ is] a haunting performance worthy of his surname.” – Rolling Stone

He has his own highly creative soul.” – MusicRow

Sam Williams is proving that he absolutely has the skills as a singer and songwriter in the world of country music.” – Wide Open Country

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (August 20, 2021) – Today, Nashville singer/songwriter Sam Williams releases his much talked about debut album, Glasshouse Children, via Mercury Nashville.

Glasshouse Children is available everywhere now HERE.

Glasshouse Children is an introspective meditation on hurt and healing, growth and loss, and sin and redemption, but more than that, it’s a reckoning with fate and freewill and the family ties that bind us. Sam’s skyscraping vocals shine through these ten lush, cinematic songs, as he delivers gut-wrenching, honest and plainspoken lyrics with raw vulnerability and deep empathy.

Glasshouse Children has been a long time coming and it feels amazing to finally have it out in the world,” says Sam. “I really wanted to experiment with a variety of different sounds on this album and push the boundaries of what Country music is. All the while, keeping that honest, gut-wrenching lyricism and diving into somewhat heavy topics, not only for myself, but for everybody else who’s out there listening and wrestling with the same questions I am. At the end of the day, I wasn’t interested in making something just to say I did it or to pat myself on the back for honoring some kind of family tradition. I wanted to honor that legacy and carry it on in my own way with truth and integrity.”

Williams recorded the album primarily in Nashville with Jaren Johnston (The Cadillac Three, Keith Urban, Tim McGraw), and other producers such as 5 time GRAMMY-nominated producer Paul Moak (Joy Williams, Ashley Monroe), Sean McConnell, Bobby Holland and more. The record features the previously released songs, “Happy All The Time (Feat. Dolly Parton),” “Kids” (Feat. Keith Urban),” “10-4,” ”Can’t Fool Your Own Blood,” “SHUTEYE” and “The World: Alone.”

Earlier this week, Sam shared, “Happy All The Time (Feat. Dolly Parton),” ahead of the album’s release. The song was written a few years ago by Sam and Mary Gauthier and produced by Bobby Holland and Sean McConnell and features Country music icon, Dolly Parton. It premiered on The Zane Lowe Show on Apple Music 1 and was on the cover of Apple Music’s global flagship playlist New Music Daily. Watch Sam discuss the origins of the song with Zane HERE.

Sam also recently performed “The World: Alone” and “Glasshouse Children,” as a part of Vevo DSCVR’s performance series.

Chris was someone who shared his love of country music, going to concerts and listening to Clint Black, George Strait, Keith Whitley, and more, and who would no doubt be by Luke’s side to this day. But Chris never got to hear any of Luke’s own hit songs. “Songs You Never Heard” is available digitally HERE.

Since his debut, Luke has garnered 26 #1 hits and has more RIAA certified digital singles than any other country artist with 68.5 million, has 15.6 billion streams worldwide, and has sold nearly 13 million albums. His headline concert tours have played sold-out shows for 12 million fans inclusive of 36 stadium concerts, Farm Tours, Spring Break shows, and seven sold-out ‘Crash My Playa’ destination concert events. Luke has won over 50 major music awards including five wins as Entertainer of the Year. Additional awards include six recognitions as a CMT Artist of the Year, NSAI Artist/Songwriter of the Year, the first-ever recipient of the ACM Album of the Decade Award for Crash My Party, seven CMT Music Awards, five Billboard Music Awards, and four American Music Awards – as well as being named Billboard’s Top Country Artist of the 2010s, the ‘Most Heard Artist of the Decade’ by Country Aircheck, and the ‘Artist Humanitarian Recipient’ by the Country Radio Broadcasters this February. This spring he released a deluxe version of his #1 debuting BORN HERE LIVE HERE DIE HERE (Deluxe Edition). The album’s title track inspired the name for his current tour, “Proud To Be Right Here Tour” with shows scheduled through the fall. Luke is set to return as a celebrity judge for a fifth season, alongside Katy Perry and Lionel Richie, on ABC’s American Idol in 2022.

Luke is sitting inside the country charts Top 5 with his latest smash, “Waves.”

Audio / Luke Bryan says his new song "Songs You Never Heard," has a huge connection to his new docuseries.

Luke Bryan (Songs You Never Heard) OC: …George Strait. 1:27
“So it’s very tied into the documentary. When we wrote it, we didn’t know it was going to be, but the actual docuseries, documentary actually kind of made the song be born because Luke Laird and Josh Osborne were on the road with me, I guess three years ago and (Michael) Monaco was going through some editing of the documentary. And Luke and Josh were watching it and they were educating themselves on my past. And so we sat down and started working on a song. I had the idea of gosh, has anybody ever written something about losing someone…and since my brother passed, there’s been all these life-changing songs that I knew my brother would have loved, would’ve loved every second of. So, that was the main thing and we wrote it with that. And so as it really started working in conjunction with the documentary, we decided to really feature the song and loved how it turned out. It’s just such a special song that I think people can relate to because there’s somebody that lost somebody that their connection was an Atlanta Braves game and when the Braves hit a homeroom, they’re like I wish my brother were here to watch that homerun. Well, with me, I’m like, I wish my brother was here to hear that George Strait song.”

    About CB30:
CB30, comprised of real-life brothers Christian and Brody Clementi, grew up in Nashville surrounded by music from a young age. After playing some local charity events with their father Jay Clementi, a successful songwriter, they caught the attention of country superstar Luke Bryan who introduced them to various industry contacts leading to a record deal with Buena Vista Records, a partnership between Disney Music Group and Universal Music Group Nashville. The name CB30 comes from Christian and Brody’s first initials as well as the fact they were both born on the 30th of the month, Christian’s birthday is May 30th while Brody’s is March 30th. Their young, fresh sound is built on harmony-driven country melodies with influences ranging from The Everly Brothers to Ed Sheeran. In between football and baseball games, you can often find Christian and Brody on the lake fishing and wakeboarding. CB30 have previously opened for Luke Bryan on a number of stadium dates and made their debut at the famed Stagecoach Music Festival in Indio, Calif. The boys visited New York with appearances on Barstool Sports, Music Choice, and TigerBeat. The duo found early success on the popular social media platform, TikTok, garnering tens of millions of views and over 2.5 million followers, making them one of the most followed country artists on the platform. Last year, the boys performed as part of Global Citizen’s One World: Together At Home live stream concert in partnership the World Health Organization. CB30 previously released a new version of their song, “We Are Right Now,” remixed by NYC-based producers, Black Caviar.

    CB30 (Learning Curves) OC: …dig it. :19
“’Learning Curves’ is a song we wrote about just being in a small town and riding the backroads, so the curves of the road…and then you’re with a girl and it’s kind of a play on words with the girl, and also being young and learning curves as you grow up and just like different stages of life. But yeah, we’re super excited about ‘Learning Curves’ to come out. Hope y’all dig it.”
