  • LUKE BRYAN HITS THE TOP OF THE COUNTRY CHART WITH “WHAT SHE WANTS TONIGHT.”

Luke Bryan has just scored his 24th No. 1 single with his latest smash, “What She Wants Tonight.” The song, written by Luke, Ross Copperman, Hillary Lindsey and Jon Nite and produced by Jeff and Jody Stevens, is the follow up to Luke’s No. 1 single “Knockin’ Boots” and is the second release from his upcoming studio album, Born Here, Live Here, Die Here, due out later this year.

Luke says he was really excited about the “infectious” song as it was coming together. “Ross came in, and he had the track and that drum loop in the front kind of dialed in, and the second I heard it, it was just really, really infectious. And then we were able to just really put a really great lyric (together) with a high energy track. When we came up with the hook – ‘She gets what she wants/and I get to be what she wants tonight,’ I was just, it just felt like something that could be played on the radio and it felt like something like that’s what women want to hear. They want to have a confident guy kind of singing to them in that way, and I hadn’t been this excited about a song in some time.”

  • Vince Gill, Amy Grant, Jenny Gill, Corrina Grant Gill Perform for the 4,917th Consecutive Saturday Night Broadcast of the Grand Ole Opry.

The Grand Ole Opry continued its nearly 100-year history of consecutive Saturday Night broadcasts tonight, playing its 4,917th Saturday night show to an empty Opry House as Opry member Vince Gill took the stage alongside wife Amy Grant and daughters Jenny Gill and Corrina Grant Gill.

Throughout the show, the family members took turns in the spotlight and backing each other, including on a round of cover songs featuring Rodney Crowell’s “Til I Gain Control Again,” (Vince); Joni Mitchell’s “Big Yellow Taxi,” (Amy); John Mayer’s “The Heart of Life,” (Jenny); and Harry Nilsson’s “Without You,” (Corrina). To conclude the evening, the four joined their voices on the gospel standard “How Great Thou Art” and “You Are My Sunshine,” which Vince dedicated to Opry member Jan Howard, who passed away earlier today at age 91.

The show was broadcast live on Circle, on Gray TV stations and other TV affiliates in addition to a companion live stream via Circle’s Facebook and YouTube. TV and radio personality Bobby Bones hosted the Circle telecast, while Opry announcer Mike Terry joined as the Opry’s radio audience at the on-stage announcer podium. Fans around the world also tuned-in to the broadcast on the Opry’s flagship radio home, 650 AM-WSM and several other outlets.

Working closely with Nashville’s Director of Health and Mayor John Cooper, The Opry was able to bring the show live to millions around the world while following strict safety protocols under the guidance of local health professionals. Amid current COVID-19 concerns, the Opry, the world’s longest-running radio show, has paused all shows with a live Opry House audience through April 25, but has pledged to continue live Saturday night broadcasts without an audience in attendance. • KIP MOORE’S FOURTH STUDIO ALBUM “WILD WORLD” WILL BE AVAILABLE MAY 29th.

Kip Moore announced that his highly-anticipated fourth studio album WILD WORLD will be available May 29thand is available for physical pre-order now. Kip also gave his notably fierce fan following a taste of what to expect, releasing the upcoming collection’s title track that “anchors the album,” available to listen here.

Co-writing all but one of WILD WORLD’S insightful tracks, Moore navigates the search to find a place and purpose. Throughout the 13-song collection that search is revealed in deeply personal terms, with Moore even self-producing the set, with help from David Garcia, Luke Dick and Blair Daly on respective tracks. The weathered heartland-rock sound Moore has embraced on previous efforts gets its emotional volume pumped up, recorded live with a full band, as substance trumped style and the timeless prevailed over the trendy. Moore admits the result includes a few quirks – but that just gives WILD WORLD the character he values so much. “We wanted it to be more in-your-face,” he says. “More earthy, more analog.”

That straightforward honesty arrives early on the record, starting with the very first song, “Janie Blu,” about a girl who’s always been special, but often stood in her own way – a compassionate, force-of-nature plea to get your head right, before it’s too late. Likewise, the sturdy “Southpaw” stands as a grunge-rocking manifesto for the proudly out of touch, rejecting the notion of “going with the flow” and showcasing just how Moore stands apart in today’s Wild World. Meanwhile, the calming “More Than Enough” presents a better option, blowtorch anthems like the “Fire And Flame” pour gasoline on the quest for greater meaning and “Red White Blue Jean American Dream” flies down an empty highway of optimism.

“I know it’s an unsettling time for a lot of people right now, and so my hope is that this music can bring even just one person some peace,” shared Moore. “I try to make music that reaches people in a pure sense – something that’s light and easy to carry with you, but 1000 pounds of weight at the same time, and I think Wild World is just a depiction of what I see. Life is one crazy, wild ride. But it can be so simple if we look for the right things, and I think that is more important than ever right now.”

    Wild World Track List:
    1. “Janie Blu” (Dan Couch, Kip Moore)
    2. “Southpaw” (Westin Davis, Kip Moore)
    3. “Fire and Flame” (Cary Barlowe, Brett James, Kip Moore, Will Weatherly)
    4. “Wild World” (Josh Miller, Kip Moore)
    5. “Red White Blue Jean American Dream” (Jimi Bell, Barton Davies, Luke Dick, Philip Lammonds)
    6. “She’s Mine” (Dan Couch, Kip Moore, Scott Stepakoff)
    7. “Hey Old Lover” (Dan Couch, Kip Moore)
    8. “Grow on You” (Blair Daly, Westin Davis, Kip Moore)
    9. “More Than Enough” (David Garcia, Josh Miller, Kip Moore)
    10. “Sweet Virginia” (Kip Moore, Manny Medina, Erich Wigdahl)
    11. “South” (Adam Browder, Dan Couch, Manny Medina, Kip Moore, Dave Nassie, Erich Wigdahl)
    12. “Crazy for You Tonight” (Blair Daly, Westin Davis, Kip Moore)
    13. “Payin’ Hard” (Blair Daly, Westin Davis, Kip Moore)

Kip is scheduled to hit the road this summer as a special guest on Sam Hunt’s THE SOUTHSIDE SUMMER TOUR. For more information visit kipmoore.net.

  • JORDAN DAVIS RELEASES NEW SONG “DETOURS.”

2020 ACM Best New Male Artist of the Year nominee Jordan Davis has seen major life changes both personally and professionally since moving to Music City in 2012.  The Shreveport, Louisiana native’s journey to pursue a career as a songwriter first has taken several detours along the way that have included discovering a passion for performing and taking the stage as an artist as well as getting married and welcoming a new baby girl to the world. The latter serves as the inspiration for his new song “Detours,” a deeply personal track for the MCA Nashville recording artist who was inspired by his chance meeting with wife Kristen. Listen HERE.

“This song is probably one of my favorites I’ve ever written,” shares Davis. “My life has changed so much since I moved to Nashville. From meeting Kristen, getting married and having Eloise to signing a record deal, landing back to back No. 1s and touring the country playing for fans, I pinch myself every day that this is my life. I’m so blessed and so grateful for all of the detours that led me to today.”

The man Billboard and Rolling Stone have dubbed an “Artist to Watch” hosts a Happy Hour Q&A with wife Kristen to celebrate the release of “Detours” on Instagram live today at 5 p.m. CT. And next week Davis will be livestreaming a two-part deep dive into his debut album Home State, which has now been streamed over 1 Billion times. Davis is set to play the album from start to finish as well as share insight on his songwriting process and inspiration behind the music. Fans can catch the two-nights of conversation and performance on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram live Tuesday, March 31, and Wednesday, April 1, at 4 p.m. CT each day.

Written alongside his brother Jacob Davis and Dave Turnbull, the song has been a favorite on the road for years and one that The Parish, as Davis endearingly refers to his fans, have anxiously awaited to be released. The up-tempo ballad finds Davis reflecting on the choices and mistakes we make in life chronicling the twists, turns and detours that lead us all to exactly where we are meant to be.

    Yeah I lost my way
    Damn near lost my mind
Pedal to the metal let the devil lead me blind I was way outside the lines
Yeah and I got way off track
Took some wrong turns lookin’ back
It’s been one helluva ride in my rearview
And I thank the good Lord
    For the detours
    To you

“Detours” follows several recent releases for the hitmaker including “Trouble Town” which also served as the name of his just wrapped headlining Trouble Town Tour, a collaboration with pop star Julia Michaels called “Cool Anymore,” as well as an Amazon Original cover of Jo Dee Messina’s 1996 hit “Heads Carolina, Tails California.” And as Forbes recently noted, “the hits just keep coming” with current single “Slow Dance in a Parking Lot” hitting Top 5-and-climbing on the Country radio charts.

I’m honored and thrilled that our family has been asked to take the Opry stage on Saturday night.”
