  • KEITH URBAN’S LATEST HIT, ‘JOHN COUGAR, JOHN DEERE, JOHN 3:16,’ REALLY SUITS HIM.

Keith Urban is poised to take over the top spot on the country charts with his latest single, “John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16.” It’s a song from his forthcoming album, and he says he was intrigued about the song when he first saw the title, since he didn’t write it.

“I saw the title of the song first and was curious to what that song would be,” Keith tells Lon Helton, host of the syndicated Country Countdown USA. “Some songs grab me at first listen. Other songs creep up on me. I love those songs too, but this was immediate. I played it maybe three times, and then went and grabbed my guitar and came out and I sort of sang along with it, and I thought, ‘I think this really, really suits me. I love this song, and I think it suits me.’”

Keith will take “John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16” to Las Vegas October 3rd when he’s scheduled to perform during the Route 91 Harvest Festival.

It sounds like karaoke, and yet this one felt so right.”

  • SAM HUNT CELEBRATES TWO CHART TOPPING HITS.

Sam Hunt was able to take a day out of his insanely busy traveling schedule to attend a dual celebration at Nashville hot spot Crying Wolf for his second and third No. 1 songs, “Take Your Time” and “House Party.”

The Georgia native says he didn’t know his career would be this successful, he was just following his own path. “It was hard to predict the way this has played out,” says Sam. “Fortunately, I was able to get around some really talented people who were willing to think outside of the box like me and just kind of follow our own instincts, and we all just hit it off musically and personally and never really thought about the fact that it was potentially gonna be as unique as it has maybe been. So it really goes back to those relationships that I started several years ago when we first started writing.”

Sam is currently making his way up the country charts with his latest single, “Break Up in a Small Town.”

  • KIP MOORE IS FRONT AND CENTER.

MULTI-PLATINUM singer/ songwriter Kip Moore is heading into rehearsals for his 2015 WILD ONES TOUR, following a raucous summer out on the road as part of the stacked 2015 SOUNDS OF SUMMER tour lineup with Dierks Bentley, playing venues across the country as well as some of the biggest festivals this year.  Rolling Stone commended that “Kip Moore stuck to what he what he does best, performing his brand of U2-meets-Bob Seger raspy country-rock,” while Village Voice remarked “[Moore] is the definition of laid-back country cool… tracks from Wild Ones went over beautifully with the crowd.”
Following curtain call on his summer gig with Bentley, Moore changed gears and headed to New York City yesterday (9/21) to tape an intimate stripped-down performance as part of Front and Center’s CMA Songwriters Series, set to air in early 2016 on Public Televison.  Moore was joined on stage by renowned songwriters Brett James and Jaren Johnston, where their set included tracks taken from Moore’s new album WILD ONES. Moore’s much anticipated sophomore album continues to garner critical praise with The Guardian recently declaring WILD ONES as “an impressively singular release from Music Row…unlike anything else in country music at the moment, and it pulses with energy and strong rock melodies.”
A performer that Washington Post declares “is a natural when he’s on stage,” Moore is now gearing up to kick off his headlining 2015 WILD ONES on 10/8.  Fans will have the opportunity to experience WILD ONES, that Taste of Countrydeems is “tailored for his live show and the thousands of die-hard fans that pack theaters several times each week to see him,” firsthand. “Onstage, Bentley was as exuberant as ever, roaming and high-fiving, running up to a tiny stage set in the cheap seats for a handful of songs – judging from his performance, Dierks Bentley is enjoying the view from the top.” – The Boston Globe

“Bentley’s set solidified him as the artist you most want to have a beer with – the banter he shared with his captive audience held that playful tone throughout the night.” – The Village Voice

The latest single from the multi-PLATINUM entertainer, “Riser” served as a show-stopping moment during the 2015 SOUNDS OF SUMMER TOUR with The Fresno Bee noting it has “one of the most inspiring messages of any song he’s ever done” while The Times-Picayune noted the hit ”is imprinted with Bentley’s distinct aesthetic.” It is currently climbing the country radio charts and the music video can be viewed here: http://bit.ly/1V64Men

Canaan Smith just wrapped his stint on Dierks Bentley’s Sounds of Summer Tour over the weekend, and he’s looking ahead to his headlining Stompin’ Grounds Tour, kicking off November 6th in Charlotte, North Carolina.

No matter if he’s performing 20 minutes as an opening act or more than an hour as a headliner, Canaan says he puts his all into his shows. ““I leave it all on the stage. I exhaust myself every night,” says Canaan. “I beat the hell out of the drums for the last song, and I hype the crowd. I milk every moment I can. I squeeze the rag as hard as I can in my 20-minute set just to get as much out of the crowd as I can. So, I hope that people notice that, and I think that they do.”

Canaan is currently climbing the country charts with “Hole in a Bottle,” the follow-up to his recent No. 1 single, “Love You Like That.” Both songs are from his debut album, Bronco.
