George Strait (Dallas show) 1 OC: …it that way. 1:07
“You don’t know how these things are going to turn out. You put tickets on sale and you hope for the best and you see what happens. Man, when I got that call how many tickets we sold the first day I’m going like, ‘Wow, this is so cool. What great fans I have.’ And it was a heck of a night. And I said it on stage, I’ve been thinking about this show ever since we announced the Cowboy Rides Away Tour, and I really had for two years. It was just it was always on my mind it was going to end right there. And so the closer it got the more nervous I got about it and the more things we had to do to prepare for it, getting all these great artists to participate and song lists and rehearsals and figuring out how we were going to do it, the structure of the show. We went through so many different scenarios of how it could be. Finally just go like, ‘Well, we can just do it like we’ve been doing it on tour. They just come up and do their songs and we’ll work it that way.’”

George Strait (Dallas show) 3 OC: …at this place. 1:23
“When I’m standing in the wings there and Ray Benson is reading this big introduction, I’m nervous as a cat because when the show started it was light in there. It was broad daylight and you could see everybody. (laughs) And when you walk out in front of 104,000 people, that’s scary. (laughs) But I mean once I got on stage all that went away, and I could just feel the energy and the support and the love from the fans. It was just unbelievable. And there’s just no way to totally describe the feeling that you have when you walk out there in front of a crowd that big. Not many people get to experience it. (laughs) I’m very lucky that I did, and it was so much fun, and then at the end it was sad. I almost lost it a couple of times but I didn’t want to do that and I managed not too, but it still was very sad to know that – and I did this a lot, during the two years I would walk out there and as I left the stage I’m going I may never be back here doing this again ever at this place.”

  • SAM HUNT REVEALS THE TRACK LISTING FOR HIS FORTHCOMING ALBUM, MONTEVALLO. (PRESS RELEASE)

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Tuesday, September 9, 2014) – MCA Nashville recording artist Sam Hunt is soaring up the country charts with his current Top 15 single, “Leave the Night On” – the lead track off his Oct. 27th major label album debut, MONTEVALLO

Hunt revealed the album cover art and track listing today exclusively with Buzzfeed. Details show a ten-track album, all co-written by Hunt, and produced by Zach Crowell (Dierks Bentley, Keith Urban) and Shane McAnally (Luke Bryan, Kacey Musgraves).

“This is such a personal album for me,” explains Hunt. “Each song holds truth and comes from my own life experiences. To get these songs out into the hands of the fans is both exciting and liberating.”

Hunt makes his national television debut Sep. 24th performing “Leave The Night On” on NBC’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers.” The following night, Hunt kicks off the 24-market CMT ON TOUR: Up In Smoke Tour with Kip Moore and Charlie Worsham at Best Buy Theatre in New York, N.Y. CMT has also pegged Hunt for CMT Listen Up, a new music discovery platform for up-and-coming country artists. Hunt’s exclusive Nashville performance, interview, photos and more launch Oct. 2nd on CMT.

Emerge wages a competition between its top performing artists across all genres, with Spotify users determining the winner based on streams, likes, shares and virality.
