• TRAVIS DENNING IS JUST LOOKING FORWARD TO BEING MARRIED.

Travis Denning is getting ready to tie the knot to longtime girlfriend/fiance, Madison Montgomery, this month, and he cannot wait to be married.

“I’m really looking forward to just being married, honestly. That’s kind of the most important part of the wedding I’m looking forward to,” says Travis. “It’s gonna be a beautiful ceremony. I’m excited to see all our friends and family, and of course, the reception’s gonna be a good ole time. And then after that, I’m looking forward to the honeymoon. We’re going to Switzerland.”

The pair were engaged in October 2021 in New York’s Central Park.

He’s been a little bit involved with the planning of the upcoming nuptials, especially when it comes to food and drink, but not when it comes to all of the decorations. “I’ve been semi-involved. I picked the alcohol package and the food, and I think that’s kind of two of the more important things of a wedding,” he says. “Past that, I’ve been told to just sit down and be quiet, because truthfully, I have a horrible taste for aesthetic and luckily, Madison has a great taste for it.”

When the couple hits the floor for their first dance as husband and wife, the pair will sway along with a tune from The Rocket Man. “Our first dance song is ‘Your Song’ by Elton John. We’re both huge Elton fans, and that song, I think, just kind of speaks to both of us. It’s always been our song, for sure.”

Travis recently released two new songs, to celebrate Madison just weeks ahead of his upcoming wedding. The songs were a surprise to his future wife, Madison Montgomery. “Second Best Thing,” was written by Denning, Nathan Spicer and Scooter Carusoe and “New Year’s Kiss,” which is a peek into their relationship, was written by Denning, Shane McAnally and Nathan Spicer. Both tracks were produced by Jeremy Stover and Paul DiGiovanni.

  • LUKE BRYAN ON AMERICAN IDOL’S TALENT THIS SEASON.

The season finale of American Idol takes place this Sunday, and the Top 3 contestants – Megan Danielle, Colin Stough and Iam Tongi – will vie for the sought-after title of “American Idol.” Judge Luke Bryan tells us this season of the singing competition features probably the most talented singers he’s seen so far. He also feels a responsibility to give each of them the best chance possible to make it.

“I think the talent on this year of American Idol is the best we’ve ever had. When I look at our Top 10, any of those kids can go and be massive superstars. And I think it’s really important for us to put these kids in a situation where they want to be in music their whole life and they want to get out there and tour and make all their dreams come true.”

Luke is set to perform his latest single, “But I Got A Beer In My Hand,” in addition to a star-studded line-up, including Keith Urban who will come back to the Idol stage to mentor the finalists and to perform a song of his own. Fellow judges Katy Perry and Lionel Richie will also perform, as well as Lainey Wilson, Jelly Roll, Season 2 stars Clay Aiken and Ruben Studdard, Ellie Goulding, James Blunt, Jazmine Sullivan, Kevin Cronin from REO Speedwagon, Kylie Minogue, Lauren Daigle, Pitbull and TLC, among others.

The American Idol Season 21 finale will air live on Sunday (May 21st) at 8pm ET/7pm CT on ABC.

  • MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND 2023

Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the United States for honoring and mourning the U.S. military personnel who have died while serving in the United States armed forces. It is observed on the last Monday of May.

Memorial Day, originally known as Decoration Day, originated after the American Civil War to commemorate the fallen Union soldiers of the Civil War. However, by the turn of the 20th century, Memorial Day honored Americans who have sacrificed their lives in all wars.

It means more than you’ll ever know.”

“On the most basic level, I think, for me on the road, I just think about being gone two, three days at a time, maybe a couple of weeks at a time, you know. That seems like a long time when you have kids and family, but these soldiers, they’re gone for months and years at a time – they’re doing 12 to 15 to 18 months — and they have family back home. That, in itself, is such a huge sacrifice, and that’s just the beginning of it. That’s just scratching the surface of what these guys [and gals] are doing every day – preparing for battle, actually being in battle, being wounded in battle, sometimes dying in battle. So, this country obviously, we would not exist without those courageous men and women, and our future depends upon them.”

We live in the best country in the world, and it’s because of those guys and because of the people that came before ‘em. So, I can’t thank ‘em enough. “It’s one of the things I comment on fairly regularly when we’re playing concerts, especially outdoor festivals, where I look around and think it’s  just amazing freedom to be able to do this, and it doesn’t effortlessly just come, you know? A lot of people are devoting their life, their entire life, to going out and protecting and defending and honoring their own calling. So, I feel immensely grateful for all of the men and women in the military, all in the armed forces, all around the world, the sacrifice they make, especially their families too.

He really took pride in what that meant, and it was something I got to see it first hand, as somebody who got to experience that; somebody who had that galvanized American trait. It’s hard to describe it. It was just somebody who’s been through that, seen that and really appreciates what that means. I try to channel that into my life, because I haven’t fought in any war, but I have a ton of respect for folks who have, folks who’ve sacrificed, families who’ve lost lives and just sacrificed years of their own lives and time and effort to maintain those freedoms.”

When the album was released, the group hoped fans would have it as one of their go-to records. I hope it’s a record that stays in their collection for years to come,” said Karen Fairchild. “You know, like one of those timeless records? That would be an amazing compliment to know that I was in someone’s playlist or go-to list of someone’s records that defined a summer time or a period in their life. I can name records for me that when I go back and I think about moments in my life, it was like my theme song or my theme record.”

[laughs]” KAREN: “I hope it’s a record that stays in their collection for years to come. [PHILLIP: “Yeah.”] You know, like one of those timeless records? • CHRIS STAPLETON’S AWARDS ARE FOR THE FANS.

Chris Stapleton just won the ACM Award for Entertainer of the Year, and fans may be able to see the trophy on the road. The phenomenal singer-songwriter takes some of the many 60+ awards he has received go on the road or are on display at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.

“Some of ‘em, we put ‘em out on the road in the VIP section for people to see, for the fans to see. That’s who they belong to,” says the Kentucky native. “I don’t feel like they really belong to me. I don’t have ‘em in my house or anything like that. So, I don’t sit around in a shrine of myself or anything. We try to make sure the fans get to see ‘em and enjoy ‘em as much as possible in the moments that can make that happen. Some of ‘em are in the Country Music Hall of Fame and places where they can be enjoyed by the people that got me to where I earn them.”

    “Women In My Life” Lyrics

    I wouldn’t know a house from a loving home

10:30 sharp from the crack of dawn

Where the forks go, how find the book of Psalms

    Good cobbler peaches

I wouldn’t sing Aretha or rake the leaves

Watch my mouth in mixed company

Probably wouldn’t put up a Christmas tree

    And spoil all my nieces

Some are here, some are gone

Some were mine all summer long

Solid as a rock, rolling like a stone

    In and out my door

I can drive a stick, I can drive a nail

Hold down a job, fend for myself

Yeah, I’d be alive but not much more

If it wasn’t for, if it wasn’t for

All of the women in my life

    I wouldn’t know 7:30’s more like 8

How to hold my horses on a second date

And how to hold to a pair of two’s like a royal straight

    ‘Til she calls your bluff

I wouldn’t know that young love ain’t all smiles

    Grocery stores have flower aisles

I’d have twice the money and half the miles

    On this old truck

Some are here, some are gone

Some were mine all summer long

Solid as a rock, rolling like a stone

    In and out my door

I can drive a stick, I can drive a nail

Hold down a job, fend for myself

Yeah, I’d be alive but not much more

If it wasn’t for, if it wasn’t for

All of the women in my life

I’d still be a stupid boy, out on the run

Not half the man that I’ve become

I wouldn’t know how to know you were the one

If it wasn’t for, if it wasn’t for

All of the women in my life

Some are here, some are gone

Some were mine all summer long

Solid as a rock, rolling like a stone

    In and out my door

I can drive a stick, I can drive a nail

Hold down a job, fend for myself

Yeah, I’d be alive but not much more

If it wasn’t for, if it wasn’t for

All of the women in my life

All of the women in my life

Travis Denning released two new songs today, celebrating his fiancé just weeks ahead of his upcoming wedding. The songs are a surprise to his future wife, Madison Montgomery. “Second Best Thing,” was written by Denning, Nathan Spicer and Scooter Carusoe and “New Year’s Kiss,” which is a peek into their relationship, was written by Denning, Shane McAnally and Nathan Spicer. “I had the title ‘Second Best Thing’ I think right when me and Madison started dating and really started getting serious. It’s funny to look back that I wrote a song about getting married that early in our relationship, but for as creepy as that might sound (laughs), I mean, it’s just the truth. I knew really fast that we were going to spend the rest of our life together, and then I later wrote ‘New Year’s Kiss’ just recalling that kind of initial moment that I knew we’d probably end up being more than just friends. I recorded them a while ago and have just been holding on for the right moment to put them out, and I wanted this to kind of feel like a gift to her, and I hope it comes off that way.”

“I’m planning on just not even telling her they’re coming out. I just hope she wakes up on the morning they’re released, and she sees the post and I hope she’s really surprised. She’s heard ‘Second Best Thing’ before and she loved it. She cried a little bit when I first played it for her, and so she knows I recorded it a long time ago. Hopefully, she’s not on to me.”
