• LUKAS GRAHAM TEAMS UP WITH MICKEY GUYTON FOR NEW REFLECTIVE BALLAD “HOME MOVIES.”

Today, GRAMMY® Award-nominated artists Lukas Graham and Mickey Guyton team up for a reflective ballad “Home Movies” – listen HERE. The nostalgia-laced track will be featured on Lukas’ forthcoming long-awaited album 4 (The Pink Album), out next Friday, January 20th, 2023 via Warner Records.

About the track, Lukas says, “Home Movies is a ballad, a duet that looks at life rather than love. The coincidence of boy meets girl and the retrospective understanding that life is lived in the present but understood backwards.”

“I am beyond excited and honored to be a part of this song with Lukas,” says Guyton. “I have always admired his voice and music. I’m so grateful to him for seeing me and asking me to be part of this incredible song!”

Their melodic voices perfectly complement one another as they harmonize throughout the bridge, “There’s nothing I could be without these memories, even though they might not show the best of me.”

“Mickey’s vocals really make the lyrics that much better. Not to mention the outer harmonies on the last 3rd of the song!” The Danish singer-songwriter praised. “My favorite line is from the chorus ‘Everybody’s got a story no one knows’ and that’s the truth. We all have our inglorious moments and obscure pasts to deal with and that’s what makes life so beautiful; when we manage to rise above the prejudice and make something unique of ourselves.”

  • DIERKS BENTLEY’S 10TH ALBUM GRAVEL & GOLD “TESTIFIES TO EVERYTHING HE DOES SO WELL” (ESQUIRE) – OUT FEBRUARY 24TH.

There comes a time in any climb up one of Colorado’s famous 14,000 foot peaks when, after a few hours of striving, you pause on a ledge, turn around, and marvel at the vista and the ground you’ve covered. That’s where Dierks Bentley finds himself, 20 years into an exceptional career in 21st century country music, with plans to release his 10th studio album GRAVEL & GOLD on February 24th. It’s a diverse, 14-track album about perspective and self-awareness at many levels from the personal to the professional. It’s also a testament to the many strains of country music Bentley has mastered and cultivated in his career, from the arena shaker to the barroom weeper to the bluegrass fireballer. GRAVEL & GOLD is a story of renewal, family, persistence and devotion to making the music as authentic and lasting as it can possibly be. Fans can now pre-order GRAVEL & GOLD and access its first available tracks “Gold,” “High Note” feat. Billy Strings and now “Same Ol’ Me” HERE.

“It’s been four years since I put out an album, and part of the reason for that is that I wrote and recorded two records that I didn’t feel were good enough and had to start over…twice,” explains Bentley. “I’m going to be able look back on it for the rest of my life and be like, yeah, that was harder than I thought it would be, but zero regrets. I had to get it right. That’s the Gravel & Gold of it all.”

With a mix of long time collaborators, Bentley finds himself as a producer for the first time with GRAVEL & GOLD.  In its opening track “Same Ol’ Me,” out today and available as a live video at 12:00P HERE. Bentley recognizes that midlife demands adjustments and adaptations – as well as nurturing the inner fire of the 18-year-old country music fanatic who first arrived in Nashville in the 1990s. “Heartbreak Drinking Tour” calls on country music’s capacity for telling stories, “Something Real” reasserts the importance of holding on to integrity and self in a world of pressures, while “Still,” is a spacious and lovely meditation on staying spiritually grounded, largely through the power and freshness of nature. “Cowboy Boots” features Ashley McBryde with sharp writing about a timeless but humble subject, while “Beer At My Funeral” gives the album a jab of Roger Miller humor at 21st century arena scale. “Gold,” the album’s first single hits the core theme of perspective with a road-trip vibe and wisdom earned only by putting in the years and the work, and a similar gratitude for connection and life’s gentle gifts can be found in “Walking Each Other Home.” The final track is an intimate circle with Music City’s greatest pickers trading licks and laughs on the witty song about getting high, “High Note” feat. Billy Strings alongside Jerry Douglas on dobro, Sam Bush on mandolin, Charlie Worsham on guitar and Bryan Sutton on guitar and banjo.

“Selfishly I’ve always wanted to have my cake and eat it too,” says Bentley. “I’m in the bluegrass space. I’m in the traditional country space. It’s always been important to me to have the love and support of this community in Nashville, particularly the older establishment and the Opry – and to know that I’m able to do that but also get out on the road and play the big venues too?   It doesn’t get any better than that for me.”

    GRAVEL & GOLD Track List:

    1. “Same Ol’ Me”
    2. “Sun Sets In Colorado”
    3. “Heartbreak Drinking Tour”

The 10th album landmark speaks to how time has flown in Bentley’s unique, 21st-century career. He landed his first publishing deal in 2001 and released his debut album in 2003, producing an instant No. One single. The years since have revealed a rare consistency that’s fueled longevity – eight more albums that reached the top of the Country sales charts, resulting in 21 No. One songs, 8 billion streams, three CMA Awards, 14 GRAMMY® nominations and membership into the Grand Ole Opry. Trendy sounds have ebbed and flowed around him over these two decades, but fans have relied on Bentley for something more nourishing and individual. He also has created professional endeavors outside of the music with his Flag & Anthem lifestyle collection Desert Son, along with his “Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row” franchise hosting four locations. “I wrote this song with Jon Randall and Luke Dick, and it’s kind of about no matter how much you change and life changes you, at the end of the day, I’m still just the same ol’ me playing the same ol’ guitar, singing the same ol’ country music.”

“This is hands down one of the most honest songs I’ve ever written. It was 2 o’clock in the morning – just me, my guitar and a piece of paper. Sometimes it’s the simplest songs that hit the most and for me “Me Pt. 2” is that. This past year was really big for me, especially releasing my debut album. When we were selecting songs for “Welcome To The Block Party” we had so many songs to choose from, which is why I’m super excited for the deluxe album. Four more songs that complete the Block Party era.”

  • DIERKS BENTLEY ANNOUNCES NEW ALBUM, GRAVEL & GOLD, WITH ALBUM TRAILER.

For a couple of days on his social platforms, Dierks Bentley has been teasing a big announcement to take place this week. This afternoon (January 12th), he revealed his 10th album, Gravel & Gold, will be released February 24th and is expected to include his current Top 20 hit, “Gold.”

The album trailer opens up with him in front of a video screen which takes fans back to older videos of him performing on stage throughout the years. He says, “It’s been a long road, a 20-year journey filled with highs and lows, twists and turns. My love for country music, that’s what’s always kept me going, town to town, show to show, small clubs to packed arenas. I worked hard. I took chances, went for things. The journey isn’t where I’ve been, it’s the thing I carry with me into my 10th album. I wrote. I recorded. It wasn’t good enough. I threw it out, started over…twice. I had to get it right, for the fans, for me. It had to be the best country music I’ve ever made. Everyone showed up — my heroes and my friends. We did it together. It’s the love, the lessons, the Gravel & Gold.”

The last full-length studio album he released was The Mountain in 2018.

“It is the 10th album. I went into the studio three different times, worked with a lot of different producers and finally just ended up putting together my own team. I mean, I’m just thankful. I feel like for me for COVID, it was like a red light. For all of us, we were all just stuck there and I kinda got out of my car and just left it in park for a little bit, and I was able to come back and do it in late ’21 and ’22 and really be focused on finishing the record and getting it done the right way. And I don’t know. Hopefully everyone loves it.”

  • JORDAN DAVIS’ 2022 WAS FULL OF NEW MUSIC, AWARDS AND MILESTONES.

Jordan Davis had an amazing 2022 with a two-week No. 1 for “Buy Dirt,” featuring Luke Bryan, sold-out headlining shows and culminating with his first CMA Award for Song of the Year for “Buy Dirt,” which he co-wrote with his brother Jacob Davis and friends, Matt and Josh Jenkins. However, his proudest joy came from watching his one-year-old son, Locklan James (Lock for short), learn to walk and speak his name.

“You know, professionally 2022 was, even outside of the life of ‘Buy Dirt,’ I think we put a lot of other songs out that did amazing things and we did a headline tour that did really, really well,” says Jordan. “You know for me, that’s a huge gauge if we continue to go back to cities and play shows and the crowd grows, like that’s a good gauge of music connection for me. And obviously, the highlight being standing up on stage at the CMA Awards with my brothers, with my brother and two of my best friends in town, that was pretty amazing professionally. Personally, it was a busy year. We played a lot of shows, but obviously, my son, getting to see him kind of come into his own, start walking, calling me Dada, it’s gonna be tough to beat that in any of the years to come.”

Jordan is poised to climb to the top spot on the country charts with “What My World Spins Around.” Fun Fact: the song actually topped the Country Aircheck chart for one week over the Christmas holidays. The song is from his upcoming album, Bluebird Days, available February 17th.

Guitar virtuoso and legend Jeff Beck passed away on Tuesday (January 10th) after contracting bacterial meningitis. The music world mourned the loss of the icon, including one of country music’s best guitar players — Keith Urban. On Wednesday (January 11th), he posted a heartfelt tribute to him, saying, “I was shocked and saddened to hear that Jeff Beck had ‘portaled into the next realm.’ It’s impossible to label or frame his gift, his music, his ART, or to try and quantify his impact on not only guitarists, but all kinds of musicians, singers, and music lovers all over the world. He’s absolutely one of the few faces on the Mt. Rushmore of guitar players.” Keith was able to stand side stage, along with ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons, last year and was mesmerized by his talent firsthand.

Tyler Hubbard will be featured on CMT’s Hot 20 Countdown this weekend. Catch him on Saturday (January 14th) beginning at 9am ET/8am CT and Sunday (January 15th) beginning at 8am ET/7am CT.
