• LUKE BRYAN WILL WRAP HIS ANNUAL FARM TOUR THIS WEEKEND.

Two-time reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year Luke Bryan will wrap his “Bayer Presents Luke Bryan Farm Tour 2016” this Saturday and a portion of the proceeds from the eight year run will bring his total of awarded college scholarships to 50. The “Luke Bryan Farm Tour Scholarship” is granted to a local college student from a farming family within the communities the tour has played.

The tour resumed in Batesville, Mississippi last night, the first concert back since his collar bone surgery over the weekend to repair a break from a mountain bike accident. The ever-positive Luke upheld ‘the show must go on’ attitude not missing a beat and continued with the remaining three shows scheduled last week. Fans unable to attend a farm tour show were able to tune-in for a livestream on Luke’s Facebook page last Friday from Greenback, Tennessee.  Sounds Like Nashville was along for that show too. “Anytime we can take a step to help facilitate dreams and agriculture and be smarter in how the food’s being made and being safer and stuff like that, the awareness of that can never be undermined….If I can educate some people on it and that can be my platform, I think I’ll always, the farmers out there and the people in that world will appreciate and they’ll know I’ve kinda stayed true to my roots.”

  • LUKE BRYAN UNDERGOES SURGERY FOR BROKEN CLAVICLE.

Luke Bryan went in for surgery for his broken clavicle on Sunday. He tweeted that he was on his way to the doctor on Sunday morning.

He then followed it up with the X-ray following his surgery, where they had to put some metal in to fuse his bones together.

His clavicle, though, wasn’t the only injury he suffered during a bicycle accident in Greenback, Tennessee last week.

  • LUKE BRYAN BREAKS HIS CLAVICLE IN A BIKING ACCIDENT PRIOR TO HIS FARM TOUR DATE IN GREENBACK, TENNESSEE.

Even with his arm in a sling, Luke Bryan says the show must go on, and it did. The Farm Tour 2016 got its start in Greenback (near Knoxville), Tennessee on Thursday night, even after Luke Bryan broke his clavicle in a biking accident earlier in the day. He posted a photo of his X-ray on his Twitter  (see below).

According to the ABC affiliate WATE, Luken kicked up the dust up before more than 16,000 people at Maple Lane Farms Thursday night and paid tribute to its late founder, Bob Schmidt, who is also honored at the end of Luke’s video for “Here’s to the Farmer,” the title track from his new Farm Tour EP.

This marks the country superstar’s third stop in Greenback, but it’s the first year without Farmer Bob, who passed away earlier this year after suffering two strokes.

The Greenback show comes one day after Luke had to cancel the first Farm Tour date in Gaston, South Carolina, due to Hurricane Matthew.

Luke says some of his early fans will really enjoy the songs on his Farm Tour EP. “What’s interesting is that a lot of that is what the start of my career was based on, and I think some of my fans from the way back will appreciate, you’ll be able to hear some of that that kind of sounds like my early record stuff.”

The reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year kicks off his eighth annual Farm Tour Wednesday (October 5th) in Gaston, South Carolina.

Luke Bryan (Farm Tour songs throwback) OC: …record stuff. :48
“I learned a lot doing the Spring Break albums through the years, so with Farm Tour album, it’s just to have those little nuances of farm-related things. Some of ‘em obviously scream more farm stuff than the others, but at the end of the day, it’s just all about (a) is it a great song that we feel like is worthy of making this EP? And (b) does it kind of go along with that rural [theme]? I kinda think Farm Tours will always have that ruralness, that rural theme. What’s interesting is that a lot of that is what the start of my career was based on, and I think some of my fans from the way back will appreciate, you’ll be able to hear some of that that kind of sounds like my early record stuff.”

  • LUKE BRYAN TALKS BUTT GRABS, LATEST SINGLE, FARM TOUR AND GETS WET ON THE ELLEN DeGENERES SHOW.

Luke Bryan stopped by the Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday (September 28th) to talk about his Farm Tour EP, Here’s to the Farmer, and perform his latest single, “Move.” What he didn’t expect was to talk about how many times fans clutch his rear and how his team has invoked a “no butt-touching rule,” or the fact that he would get soaking wet in a game called “Oops! My Water Broke.” Ellen also presented Luke a check for $10,000 from Shutterfly for Luke’s Farm Tour Scholarship Fund. Check out all of the action below.

  • LUKE BRYAN SAYS GROWING UP AROUND FARMERS GAVE HIM A GREAT FOUNDATION FOR HIS MUSIC CAREER.

Luke Bryan released his first-ever Farm Tour EP, Here’s to the Farmer, on Friday (September 23rd). The five-song collection, three of which he co-wrote, coincides with his eighth annual Farm Tour, which is set to kick-off October 5th in Gaston, South Carolina.

Luke says being surrounded by farmers – including his father who was a peanut farmer – gave him a great work ethic and foundation, especially after moving to Nashville to pursue his dream of being a country artist.

“My whole existence and 90% of the men that I grew up with in my life were all farmers and of that background. So, it was just what I knew. I saw all of the struggles that all of them dealt with – the things that they could control and the things that they can’t,” he says. “Just that whole farming mentality, you can learn so many things from, from just how to properly do business and how to do business like you should. It’s a pretty resilient business, and at the end of the day, it was a great foundation of upbringing to prepare me for another type of farming, which is music. So, it’s all farming up something whether you’re farming corn or songs, I guess. So, certainly growing up like that taught me a lot.”

Luke is also “moving” up the country charts with his latest single, “Move,” from his Kill the Lights album.

“My whole existence and 90% of the men that I grew up with in my life were all farmers and of that background. So, it was just what I knew. I saw all of the struggles that all of them dealt with – the things that they could control and the things that they can’t. I mean, it’s an interesting dynamic being a farmer. I watched my dad deal with the ups and the downs, and so much of it is weather-related and we all know we certainly can’t do anything about that. Just that whole farming mentality, you can learn so many things from, from just how to properly do business and how to do business like you should. It’s a pretty resilient business, and at the end of the day, it was a great foundation of upbringing to prepare me for another type of farming, which is music. So, it’s all farming up something whether you’re farming corn or songs, I guess. So, certainly growing up like that taught me a lot, and certainly honored to have started the Farm Tour and now to have an album coming out.”

“You know, it’s a fun support group of my fans to where I can run ideas by them and we do a lot of live streaming where the fans can tune in. As artists, I have so many people plan things in my life, but it’s nice to be able to fire up my cell phone and say, ‘Hey guys! This is me. I’m out on the boat fishing, and I just thought y’all might wanna see me catch a fish or something like that.’ You know, it’s fun to have that ability to have the fans kind of see what I’m doing and come into my world, and then obviously to launch new contests and ideas and get feedback from ’em in a pretty positive setting, you know? I’ve enjoyed the app. I mean, any time people run new stuff by me, I’m like, ‘Ahhh, more work. More work,’ but I enjoy every time I get to interact with everybody on the app.”
