  • LUKE BRYAN GETS READY TO RELEASE HIS FIRST FARM TOUR EP.

    LB-300x250

Luke Bryan is set to release his first Farm Tour EP, Here’s to the Farmer, this week. Coinciding with his eighth annual Farm Tour, the collection features five new songs, including the title track. He says the EP, which takes the place of his annual Spring Break releases, is a way for him to get new music to fans.

“The reason why I wanted to do this Farm Tour EP is hey, we’ve been doing Farm Tours for eight years, and I just wanted the opportunity to kinda put a little soundtrack out there, kind of the same way we did Spring Break, but now we got Farm Tours,” says Luke. “And hey, I’m a studio junkie. I love being in the studio trying to make more music and give fans another take and another aspect of what I want to tell ‘em. So, Farm Tour was the perfect reason to get in there and write some new music, and we hope the fans love it.”

The Farm Tour kicks off October 5th in Gaston, South Carolina and wraps October 15th in Effingham, Illinois. At each tour stop, a portion of ticket proceeds provide college scholarships

At each stop, a portion of ticket proceeds provide college scholarships to students from the communities in which he plays who either come from a farming family or plans to major in agriculture.

Darius Rucker will sing the national anthem at New Era Field as the Buffalo Bills play host to the New York Jets for Thursday Night Football.

Luke Bryan and Chris Stapleton, as well as Carrie Underwood, Thomas Rhett and Florida Georgia Line, will be honored as CMT Artists of the Year 2016. The 7th Annual CMT Artists of the Year will air from Nashville on Thursday, October 20th.

Dierks Bentley and his wife just added to their family. It seems ever since the country star’s beloved Jake passed away, their other dog George, has been very lonely. So, Dierks, his wife and two daughters, Evie and Jordan (son Knox wasn’t with them), went to the Nashville Humane Association and picked out a beautiful female dog. Dierks, who is poised to hit the top of the country charts with “Different for Girls,” caught the family leaving with their new as-yet-to-be-named pup on video and posted it to Twitter.

Speaking of Dierks, he recently partnered with LyricLink for an app that features more than 100 Dierks emojis and also pulls direct quotes from his songs.

Eric Paslay is hitting the road this fall for the Angels in This Town 2016 Tour, and he’s taking along his special guest, Lindsay Ell. Go to ericpaslay.com for tour dates and info. He made the announcement on Twitter and Facebook on Wednesday (September 14th).

Dierks Bentley (Glen Campbell tribute) OC: …part  of it. 1:05
“He’s got some ties to Arizona and someboy who spent some time there, and when I moved to Nashville and got into bluegrass music and I discovered ‘Gentle on My Mind’ was a big song that John Hartford had written, so he had a little bit of world in the bluegrass community. But some of these bigger hits are so good and so classic and they’re so different than anything else out there. And he just has a way of performing that I’ve always felt like he’s one of those guys that if all of the power went out and there was no PA system and no band behind you and it just had to be just you and a guitar, he could entertain that crowd just as well as if they had all of the lights and production, and it’s Glen. He’s such a great singer, great musician and so funny, and such a great storyteller. He really carved out his niche. There’s no one that’ll ever sound like him – a classic legend. I’m honored to get the chance to perform on this tribute show for the ACMs [Honors], to be a part of this tribute. I’ve always felt connected to his music, grew up listening to it. I’m honored to be a part of it.”
