• DARIUS RUCKER’S ‘SOUTHERN STYLE’ BOWS AT NO. 1 ON THE COUNTRY ALBUM CHART.

Darius Rucker’s Southern Style debuted at the top of the Country Album Chart this week. The collection, featuring his No. 1 single “Homegrown Honey,” sold nearly 52,000 copies during its first week of release to land at the top of the chart.

With this new album, Darius really wanted it to have a positive feel as the follow-up to his previous record, True Believers. ‘When I was starting to write for this record, I put [True Believers] on, and I was like, ‘Man, that’s deep.’ That was really a relationship record, ups and downs and all the bad places it can go,” says the South Carolina native. “With this record, I really wanted it to be up, ‘cause you’ve got songs like ‘Good for a Good Time’ that’s all about let’s go have a big party, and then all the sudden there’s a song saying tonight let’s not do that. Let’s just go out and hang out and sing songs and drink moonshine and sit by the water and have a great time…Where I come from in Charleston, it’s all about sitting by the water, playing some guitar, enjoying each other and just having a great time. So, I love the truly just upbeat nature of the record.”

Luke Bryan’s Spring Break…Checkin’ Out is No. 2, followed by Sam Hunt’s Montevallo at No. 3.

  • LUKE BRYAN TEARS UP WHILE ATTENDING HIS FIRST ACM AWARDS.

Luke Bryan is now a fixture at the ACM Awards, having won Entertainer of the Year in 2013 and New Artist of the Year in 2010, plus returning as co-host for the third year in a row.

Luke recalls attending his first ACM Awards – even before his first album was released, and it was a pretty emotional time for him because he and his family used to sit down and watch the awards together.

“My first year out here, Reba was hosting and Capitol [Records] flew me out, and this was like a year before my first album ever came out,” says Luke. “I just sat in the back and ate popcorn, and I think Reba walked out and I started crying, so that was an amazing moment. It’s just crazy that, fast-forward the clock and now Entertainer of the Year of the ACM Awards, and I’ve hosted it twice – it’s pretty, pretty crazy.”

Luke is nominated for Entertainer, Male Vocalist and Song of the Year for “Drink a Beer,” as well as Vocal Event of the Year with Florida Georgia Line on “This is How We Roll.” Luke has already picked up one ACM Award – the Gene Weed Special Achievement Award, which acknowledges “unprecedented, unique and outstanding individual achievement in country music.”

The 50th Annual ACM Awards airs live from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on April 19th at 8pm ET on CBS.

Luke Bryan (early ACM memory) OC: …pretty crazy. :52
“I just remember it was a big family night for us to sit and watch the awards. Our radio stations stayed on country music. It was our opportunity to see all our stars. We never really got to see ’em perform, we didn’t have an arena or anything so they couldn’t come to that, so a big chance to see our favorite performers were on TV watching the ACMs. Obviously, through the years of Reba was hosting was amazing. I mean, my first year out here Reba was hosting and Capitol [Records] flew me out, and this was like a year before my first album ever came out. I just sat in the back and ate popcorn, and I think Reba walked out and I started crying, so that was an amazing moment. • KIP MOORE RELEASES THE VIDEO FOR HIS LATEST SINGLE, ‘I’M TO BLAME.’

Nashville, TN – April 7, 2015 – MULTI-PLATINUM selling artist Kip Moore completely disrupts a throwback style wedding, and does it with a smile, in the raucous new music video for his anthemic single “I’m To Blame,” premiering on VEVO today.  The video for the lead single of Moore’s upcoming sophomore album was directed by Peter Zavadil, with Moore coming up with the concept himself.

“I was picturing those terrible powder blue old school tuxedos,” said Moore. “The idea started there and we really wanted to have some fun with it, I try not to take myself too seriously all the time!   This song is the beginning of new music from me and I have been so excited to get it out there for everyone to hear.  We’ll be playing a lot of new stuff on the road this summer.  My band probably hates me because I change up the set list so much.  I love sharing as much new music as possible with the fans who have been coming to see me play year after year.  It’s a great way to test out songs too because you’ll find out right away if something is working or not, they aren’t shy about letting you know! ”

To watch the video click here.

“I’m To Blame,” the lead single from Moore’s upcoming sophomore album, is steadily climbing the radio charts and has already become a fan favorite during Moore’s live shows. Currently gearing up to head out on the road on Dierks Bentley’s 2015 Sounds Of Summer Tour,  the singer-songwriter has earned critical acclaim for his “high energy” (Rolling Stone) live show with Chicago Sun Times heralding him as “carving his own niche in country music…that sets him apart from the flock of country music rockers.”  Named American Country Countdown Award’s “Breakthrough Artist Of The Year,” Moore earned PLATINUM certification for his No. One smash hit “Hey Pretty Girl,” and DOUBLE PLATINUM status for his chart-topping breakout hit “Somethin’ ‘Bout A Truck.”  For the latest updates, visit www.kipmoore.net.

  • KIP MOORE’S ‘I’M TO BLAME’ SETS THE TONE FOR FORTHCOMING ALBUM.

Kip Moore’s latest single, “I’m to Blame,” is setting the tone for his forthcoming album, due out later this year. Kip co-wrote the gritty tune with Westin Davis and Justin Weaver, and he says it is the product of his growth as a writer and an artist.

“I just think it sets the tone for not afraid to go to different places as an artist, as a writer,” says Kip. “A lot of times when things are successful, people want you to stay in one spot. They’re used to you doing one kind of thing. ‘You’ve got to keep doing this thing over and over.’ It’s like, ‘Nah.’ You grow as a person; you grow as an artist. That was what kind of sparked the whole idea was my growth as a writer and as an artist.”

Kip joins Dierks Bentley on the Sounds of Summer Tour, which kicks off June 5th in Raleigh, North Carolina. The trek will also feature Canaan Smith and Maddie & Tae.
