• TYLER HUBBARD RELEASES NEW TRACK AND UNOFFICIAL VIDEO “ME FOR ME.”

EMI Records Nashville recording artist Tyler Hubbard is gearing up for the January 27th release of his debut solo album, Tyler Hubbard, and today released a new track, “Me For Me,” which also has an accompanying unofficial music video. The song was written by Hubbard and fellow artists and friends, Russell Dickerson and Thomas Rhett, and was produced by Hubbard and Jordan Schmidt. The song highlights the beautiful parts of a relationship and loving people for who they are.

“‘Me For Me’” was written with my good buddies, Russell Dickerson and Thomas Rhett. We set aside a few hours and just thought we’d see what happens. We ended up writing ‘Me For Me,’ which quickly became one of my favorites because it really felt personal and real. I love when an unexpected song falls out of thin air, especially with two of your best buds. I couldn’t wait to get into the studio with (producer) Jordan and bring the song to life.”

With 20 No.1 singles on country radio, countless awards, and sold-out tours, Tyler Hubbard has already had a remarkable career as a songwriter and as one half of multi-platinum duo Florida Georgia Line. Now Hubbard is embarking on a solo career. Hubbard’s debut solo album, Tyler Hubbard, features his hit debut solo single “5 Foot 9,” which already hit No. 1 at radio, was certified Gold by the RIAA, and has nearly 270M global streams. It also features Hubbard’s current single, “Dancin’ In The Country,” which already has over 30M global streams and is now climbing the Top 40 at country radio. In anticipation of his debut solo album, this past summer Hubbard released a six-song project, Dancin’ In The Country, which debuted with over 10,000 SPS units (sales plus streaming) making it the second best-selling country EP debut of the year. It also debuted at No.1 on the Heatseekers Albums chart, No. 6 on the Current Country Albums sales chart, and No. 107 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. Since releasing his debut single, Hubbard has released nine unofficial music videos. Watch all of Hubbard’s videos HERE.

Tyler Hubbard (Me For Me) OC: …take away. :43
“So, what I want fans to take away from ‘Me For Me’ is ultimately, I hope they get to know me a little bit more. It’s very literal (ha). It’s very much who I am and who I was, and also the beauty of finding the right person who loves you for you, and I remember finding that with my wife Hayley, and just almost being surprised and shocked that she didn’t expect me to change this, change that and I had had previous relationships that were kind of that way. So, I met her, and I just thought I’m just gonna keep doing what I’m doing and eventually she’s gonna ask me to change and tweak some things, if you will, but she never did. And I just thought that was really special, and I always felt like she really just loved me for me and so that’s kind of the heart behind the song and I hope that’s what the fans take away.”

Brothers Osborne (New Year) OC: (TJ) …next month. :44
JOHN: “I think it’s kind of funny how we spend literally the last moment and the very first moment of every year being extremely intoxicated, extremely, because you don’t want to wait until like 12:30 to get your buzz on. You’ve got to do it before midnight, and then once midnight happens, you’re like, ‘Omigod! Now it’s time to celebrate even more.’ Debauchery is the literally bookending your entire year.” TJ: “I love how everyone starts the year off with diets and then we end the year with like excessive amounts of food. And then you get to the end of the year, you’re like, ‘Oh, I’m going to start a diet on the 1st, so I’m going to eat everything that’s in front of me.’ I love it.” JOHN: “And come February 1st, ‘what diet?’” [laughs] TJ: “What diet? I’ll start it next month.” [laughs]

Audio / John Osborne of Brothers Osborne says a little hair of the dog is definitely the cure for a hangover.

“Usually drinking more. I mean, a little hair of the dog never hurt anybody. Plus, it’s the first of the year.”

Audio / Last year was the first year CBS broadcast live from Nashville on New Year's Eve , and Dierks Bentley, who hosted last year's event, said it would be an exciting time for people watching.

    Download

Dierks Bentley (NYE From Nashville) OC: …watching it. :52
“Nashville’s just, people just can’t get enough of it. I mean they’re just crazy about this city. They’re crazy about the music. You can feel it from the, well, you can feel it from the real estate housing market to Lower Broadway, and it’s just unbelievable. So, I think, I just know people across the country if they had a choice to watch – nothing against New York – but that or actually see their favorite city on TV with all of their favorite artists performing from the big, Bicentennial Mall stage to Miranda’s bar, my bar, Luke’s bar, Aldean’s bar, I mean it’s unbelievable. I can’t imagine it won’t be the most exciting thing to see on TV for all of the country fans out there. It’s long overdue to have, for our city to have a New Year’s Eve show. And again, nothing against the other cities or whatnot, but it’s just they’re not Nashville. And Nashville, it’s hot. It’s hot right now, and it has been for a long time. So, this is gonna be a lot of fun to be a part of, and I think people across the country are gonna love watching it.”

Audio / Dierks Bentley says there’s not really a cure for a hangover.

    Download

Dierks (NYE) OC: …for that. :10
“I think January first is universally accepted as a dog. So I mean, a little hair of the dog, I guess. But just…water and stay on the couch, I guess. There’s no real sure-fire cure for that.”

Audio / Dierks Bentley talks about his low-key New Year's Eve traditions as a kid.

    Download

Dierks Bentley (New Year’s traditions as a kid) OC: …So fun. :30
“I don’t really have any great New Year’s Eve traditions. As a kid growing up, we would watch the ball drop in Times Square on TV. We were usually up in a little cabin up in the mountains, and we had a black and white TV and we’d watch the ball drop. I would’ve rather been back home in Phoenix with all my friends going to a lot of parties, but my parents kind of sequestered us in the mountains. So, not a lot of fun traditions growing up. Now, I love watching the Nashville New Year’s Eve show. So fun.”

Audio / Dierks Bentley has just one resolution for 2023.

Dierks Bentley (New Year’s resolution 2023) OC: …have more fun! :12
“I don’t really have any New Year’s Eve resolutions this year. I’ve got a lot of stuff going on with the new album coming out and a new tour happening, but I guess if I had one resolution this year, it’d be to have more fun!”

Audio / Eric Church has a couple of hangover cures for those times (especially on New Year’s Eve) when you might imbibe a little too much.

    Download

Eric Church (hangover cure) OC: …every time. :17
“The best hangover cure – I’ve got two. One is 5-hour Energy [bottles], because of all the B-vitamins that are in it. You can start pounding those, and it’s either gonna work, or it’s gonna keep you up and prolong your misery. But the other one I have is just take two Advil and a beer in the morning. Hair of the dog, man – that works every time.”

Audio / Jon Pardi's go-to hangover cure is a bloody mary or two.

    Download

Jon Pardi (hangover cure) OC: …deal with it. :20
“My hangover cure is Bloody Marys, but be careful – because once you have a couple, don’t go to beer, because if you go to beer, you’re gonna start drinking again and you’ll end up a morning drunk. OR if you want to go the non-alcoholic route, there’s nothing you can do for hangovers. [laughs] You just go deal with it.”

Audio / Kip Moore gives advice on how to avoid a hangover on New Year’s Eve.

Luke Bryan (New Years-best) OC: …great night. :17
“My best New Year’s Eve is definitely when my wife and I started back dating. We started back dating right before Christmas, and we went on a trip down to Florida and met some friends. And her birthday is New Year’s Eve. We celebrated it that night. It was just a great night.”

“I think my favorite New Year’s Eve party ever was when my sister got married, and my sister’s party got done at 10:30, 10:45 and she got married right behind a little club that I played a lot in Macon, Georgia called the Crazy Bull and love the owner. We’re boys, you know? So, we just literally walked right over and burned the house down. That was one of my favorite New Year’s Eve memories, ‘cause I got to see my sister and brother-in-law get married and that was such a great, great time, and then me and my older cousin and best friend, we ended up at Waffle House that night, so it was good.”

Travis Denning (hangover cure) OC: …me better. :17
“You know, I think my hangover cure is just sitting on my butt, [laughs] not doing anything. Drink some water, a cup of coffee, but usually anything greasy or just some big ole Mexican food that’ll get me at least to a nap, which will get me better.”

Audio / Tyler Hubbard recalls probably his most "epic" New Year's Eve.

    Download

Tyler Hubbard (New Year’s memory) OC: …comes to mind. :24
“Well, this is probably a classic answer, but we did play New Year’s in New York and watched the ball drop and it was a big, special moment, one of those kind of check it off the bucket list type of moments, and we did that. And it is incredible. The energy’s amazing, and it’s super cold, but we had a great time. When I think of epic New Year’s, that’s definitely, it’s probably the first memory that comes to mind.”

  • CHRISTMAS 2022: Tyler Hubbard

Tyler Hubbard is planning on a low-key holiday this year with his wife Hayley and three children — Olivia, Luka and Atlas. They usually head out to Idaho to go play in the snow, but this year, he says, they’ll be sticking around their Nashville home for Christmas.

“I love Christmas as well,” says Tyler. “You know, I think it’s taking time away from work and just kind of getting grounded again, spending good quality time with family and friends, and just the spirit around that time of year just feels great. It feels that people are just kind and happy and for the most part, in a great spirit. So, for me, it is one of my favorite times of year. We usually go out to Idaho and spend it in the mountains and watch the kids play in the snow and all that, but this year, we’re gonna stick around Nashville, and I’m actually really excited just to be home and just really relax, spend some time with family and remember what we’re all here for, you know?”

Tyler’s been working hard getting ready to release his self-titled solo debut album at the end of January, so he’s looking forward to taking a few weeks off and have some much needed down-time and relaxation over the holidays.

“We’re gonna try to lay low and kind of have a low-key Christmas with the family,” he says. “It’s been a really kind of a hectic last six months in a great way, but I’ve really been just pushing hard, working hard knowing that when the holidays hit, I’m gonna relax for a few weeks and then really prepare for end of January and getting ready to rock hard next year.”

His favorite holiday movie to watch is National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. “Ohhh, I still love Chevy Chase – Christmas Vacation. I mean, I know it’s a classic, but it gets me every time. It’s one of my faves.”

  • COUNTRY MUSIC STAR TYLER HUBBARD JOINS FORCES WITH FIRST RESPONDERS CHILDREN’S FOUNDATION TO DELIVER 2,000 TOYS TO CHILDREN AT NASHVILLE’S MONROE CARELL JR. CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL AT VANDERBILT.

Tyler Hubbard, First Responders Children’s Foundation, and leading global toy company Mattel teamed up this week to deliver 2,000 toys to children undergoing treatment at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville, the local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital®.

The toys arrived at the hospital via fire truck, police car, and ambulance — in true first responder style — and were personally delivered to children by Hubbard. The EMI Records recording artist was joined by Jillian Crane, President and CEO of First Responders Children’s Foundation (FRCF), a national organization that assists the children and families of first responders across America. FRCF delivers hundreds of thousands of holiday toys to children around the nation each year as part of its “Toy Express” initiative.

“First Responders Children’s Foundation is enormously grateful to Tyler Hubbard, Mattel, Universal Music Group Nashville, the Vanderbilt University Police Department, Nashville Fire Department and everyone at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals for joining together for this truly special day,” Ms. Crane said. “Working hand-in-hand with Nashville’s first responder community to see a sparkle in the eyes of these brave young children is the greatest holiday gift imaginable; their laughter and smiles will long be remembered by everyone lucky enough to be at this event.”

Hubbard volunteered to participate in  the toy delivery in the spirit of expanding his role with the wildly popular Parade of Trees charitable holiday initiative which is a collaboration with his record label, Universal Music Group Nashville and Gaylord Opryland Resort, to benefit the First Responders Children’s Foundation. In addition to Hubbard, the initiative features country artists including Grand Ole Opry members Alan Jackson, Keith Urban, Little Big Town and Reba McEntire, along with George Strait, Jon Pardi, Jordan Davis, Kacey Musgraves, Luke Bryan, Maddie & Tae and Sam Hunt. Each artist has decorated a tree specifically to their style or album, with the trees on display at Gaylord Opryland Resort now through January 5, 2023, as a self-guided tour. Along with their trees, country music’s biggest stars have each donated “Once in a Lifetime” VIP experiences (fly-aways, VIP concert experiences, exclusive merchandise and more) all to benefit First Responders Children’s Foundation, which are available now through January 10, 2023 at www.CharityStars.com/ParadeOfTrees. Proceeds raised will provide scholarships and mental health services to children who have lost a parent in the line of duty.

“We are thrilled to welcome local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, to the Parade of Trees family,” said Dawn Gates, Senior Vice President at Universal Music Group Nashville. “And we are especially grateful to Tyler, First Responders Children’s Foundation and Mattel for generously making this toy-delivery happen for the children. Their smiling faces when they received their toys are what the holiday season is all about.”

Following the Hospital toy delivery, the caravan moved on to the hospital’s Seacrest Studio where Hubbard played several songs for children and their families who also received holiday toys.

“It’s always an honor to visit the kids at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt,” says Hubbard. “Thanks to Mattel and First Responders Children’s Foundation for making this happen for the kids. Spending time with the kids was so special, and I hope we brought some joy to these families this holiday season. This is truly what the holidays are all about.”

“The Mattel Children’s Foundation is thrilled to once again partner with the First Responders Children’s Foundation for their amazing holiday Toy Express as part of our Play it Forward holiday giving,” remarked Nancy Molenda, Executive Director of Mattel Children’s Foundation. “Even more so, we’re excited that they asked us to donate over 2,000 toys to the incredible Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt to bring the gift of play to these deserving children this holiday season.”

“We are incredibly appreciative of Tyler Hubbard, First Responders Children’s Foundation, Universal Music Group Nashville and Gaylord Opryland Resort for their generosity and support of Monroe Carell during the holiday season,” said Meg Rush, MD, MMHC, President of Monroe Carell. “The giving spirit of all involved is what makes our Nashville community such a special place and will go a long way to brighten a hospital stay for many children and families.”

  • TYLER HUBBARD RELEASES NEW SINGLE, “DANCIN’ IN THE COUNTRY.”

Tyler Hubbard has released his new single, “Dancin’ In The Country,” which is the follow-up to his recent No. 1 smash “5 Foot 9” and was the most added song at country radio this week.

He co-wrote “Dancin’ In The Country” with Keith Urban, Ross Copperman and Jon Nite, and Tyler says it was inspired by the dance parties he and his family have just about every night.

“I was fortunate enough to get to write this with Ross Copperman, Jon Nite and Keith Urban, who’s just incredible as a writer and a guitarist, and he and Ross Copperman really helped capture the feel and emotion of this song sonically and also me and Jon Nite really tried to dial in the lyrics and they were also very helpful with that,” he says. “But just an incredible day of songwriting and a really cool song that came from it and a song that sounds like nothing else on the project, and honestly, a song that was inspired by these nightly dance parties we’ve been having in my house after dinner. Me and the three kids and my wife we go in the playroom, turn the party lights on just about every night and have a dance party. So, this is one of those songs that always worked in the dance parties  and feels like something that’ll be really fun to take on tour and play live and hopefully get the crowd moving the way the kids do during the dance parties. So, ‘Dancin’ In The Country’ is just a fun one.”

The song is from his upcoming self-titled album, which will be available January 27th.

  • TYLER HUBBARD TO PERFORM THE HALFTIME SHOW AT THE PATRIOTS VS. VIKINGS GAME IN MINNEAPOLIS ON THANKSGIVING DAY.

    – The Thanksgiving holiday is synonymous with football, and this year, EMI Records Nashville recording artist Tyler Hubbard will be spending his Thanksgiving performing the live halftime show at the Patriots vs. Vikings game at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  The game will air live on Thursday, November 24 at 7:20 p.m. on NBC.

“I can’t wait to be on the field entertaining the crowd on Thanksgiving Day,” said Hubbard. “What a special opportunity, and I appreciate the Vikings and NFL for inviting me to be part of this Thanksgiving tradition.  I have so much to be thankful for this year, and this performance is a great way to celebrate.”

Now with 20 No. 1 singles on country radio, countless awards, and sold-out tours, Tyler Hubbard has already had a remarkable career as a songwriter and as one half of multi-platinum duo Florida Georgia Line. Now Hubbard is embarking on a solo career with his debut solo album Tyler Hubbard, releasing January 27, 2023. Hubbard’s debut solo single, “5 Foot 9,” reached No. 1 at country radio and it has already been certified Gold by the RIAA. In anticipation of his debut solo album, this summer Hubbard released a six-song project, Dancin’ In The Country, which debuted with over 10,000 SPS units (sales plus streaming) making it the second best-selling country EP debut of the year. It also debuted at No. 1 on the Heatseekers Albums chart, No. 6 on the Current Country Albums sales chart, and No. 107 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. Since releasing his debut single, Hubbard has released eight unofficial music videos. Watch all of Hubbard’s videos HERE.

  • THANKSGIVING 2022

The Thanksgiving holiday tradition traces its origins to a 1621 celebration at Plymouth, in the state that’s now known as Massachusetts. The 1621 Plymouth feast and thanksgiving was prompted by a good harvest. While initially, the Plymouth colony did not have enough food to feed half of the 102 colonists, the Wampanoag Native Americans helped the Pilgrims by providing seeds and teaching them to fish. The practice of holding an annual harvest festival like this did not become a regular affair in New England until the late 1660s. People now celebrate the holiday by giving thanks for their blessings over the past year, as well as feasting on turkey and other festive goodies.

Some festive fun facts about Thanksgiving:

    • President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed Thanksgiving a national holiday on October 3rd, 1863.
    • Harry Truman is often credited with being the first president to pardon a turkey, but that’s not quite true. He was the first to receive a ceremonial turkey from the National Turkey Federation – and he had it for dinner. John F. Kennedy was the first to let a Thanksgiving turkey go, followed by Richard Nixon who sent his turkey to a petting zoo. George H.W. Bush is the president who formalized the turkey pardoning tradition in 1989.
    • The average number of calories consumed on Thanksgiving is 4,500.
    • Butterball answers more than 100,000 turkey-cooking questions via their Butterball Turkey Hotline each November and December.
    • The tradition of football on Thanksgiving began in 1876 with a game between Yale and Princeton. The first NFL games were played on Thanksgiving in 1920.
    • The Wednesday before Thanksgiving has become known as “Drinksgiving.” Bars experience a huge boom the night before the holiday.

Thanksgiving Day is Thursday, November 24th, and most people might be enjoying time with a group of their friends and families, including some of your favorite country stars, such as Alan Jackson, Brothers Osborne, Carrie Underwood, Catie Offerman, Caylee Hammack, Darius Rucker, Dierks Bentley, Eric Church, Jon Langston, Jon Pardi, Josh Turner, Keith Urban, Kip Moore, Little Big Town, Maddie & Tae, Mickey Guyton, Parker McCollum, Priscilla Block, Reba McEntire, Sam Hunt, Travis Denning, Tyler Hubbard and more. They share their thoughts of thanks this year, their lessons in gratitude, memories and favorite Thanksgiving dishes.

“My favorite Thanksgiving dish would be the homemade dressin’ that we, cornbread-based kind of dressin’ that we always have with turkey. That recipe is a kind of a combination of my mama, and Denise has taken it and perfected it over the years, so that me and my children really enjoy it.”

Audio / Brothers Osborne talk about their favorite Thanksgiving tradition – a Misfits Thanksgiving -- that they started when they moved to Nashville because they couldn’t afford to go home for the holiday.

Brothers Osborne (Misfits Thanksgiving) OC: (TJ) …Happy holidays, y’all. 1:02
“What’s up, y’all? It’s Brothers Osborne here. And a Thanksgiving tradition that we did for so many years. John and I would host what we would call a Misfits Thanksgiving, and we would have everyone, I mean we must’ve done this for 15 years or so and it really started because we didn’t have enough money to go back home to see our family, so we would hang out in Nashville. And so everyone that was kind of in our same shoes, we’d all end up at our house, and it really turned into really blossoming some of our most cherished relationships. We would be there with Kacey Musgraves. It was the first time I really got to hang out with Mickey Guyton (JOHN: “Maren Morris.”) Maren Morris. They would come over and we just became like family to each other because we couldn’t get home to see our own families. And that’s a Thanksgiving tradition that we still to this day try to keep, and it’s a revolving door of who’s there or who’s not there, but yeah, it’s a wonderful tradition. And let me tell you, spending it with our friends in Nashville, there’s a little less arguing than back home. (laughs)” JOHN: “We’re still arguing, but we get over it faster.” (laughs) TJ: “Anyways, Happy Holidays, y’all.”

“We don’t have too many set-in-stone Thanksgiving traditions. I find myself a lot of times working on or around Thanksgiving or unable to get home or whatever. We try to be together, but sometimes that just doesn’t work out. But yeah, I mean, I think it’s just about we eat. I eat a lot every year on Thanksgiving. [laughs] I never skip THAT tradition. But yeah, that’s the gist of it, and I’m kind of lucky. I get two Thanksgivings, because I also get to celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving with my husband’s family, so if I don’t hit one, I’ll definitely be able to get the other one.”

We all sit around and just eat all day. And I love Thanksgiving because you don’t have to worry about getting gifts for people; you don’t have to worry about wrapping them. You just show up and you eat all day with the people you love. So, I absolutely love Thanksgiving. It’s my favorite holiday.”

“You gotta have a big turkey. Thanksgiving is not possible without a turkey. We cook it traditionally, but when we’re in, a couple of Thanksgivings ago, we were here in Nashville, we did the whole fry the turkey up, and it was great. It just tasted so good; all those juices get locked in there, and I love that too. You really can’t, to me, cook a turkey wrong. I’m gonna eat it any way, and I have over the years. Trust me, I’ve played a lot of county and state fairs, where I’ve seen gigantic turkey legs, you know, I’ve had the flat meat. I’ve done turkey every way you could do it. I’m pretty good any way you want to cook it up, but you’ve got to have a turkey for Thanksgiving.”

I’m thankful for what the fans have done. I mean there’s a lot of stuff to be thankful for in that regard. And I’m thankful that I was given the opportunity to do it my own way. I’m thankful that I’m going to get to keep doing this and do it the way that I want to do it.”

It was a big deal in high school if you had practice on Thanksgiving Day because you made third round of the playoffs. So, in high school we always had practice on Thanksgiving, so I guess that was pretty cool. Everybody’s waking up on a cold Thanksgiving morning going to football practice, but yeah, pretty cool.”

It was a tough year, but we made it through it and that’s something to celebrate. And also my amazing wife Summer – thankful for her. And just being a part of country music. I’m thankful for that too, and country radio…and all the people at UMG that I don’t get to see a lot, but I still miss them.”

It’s like everybody has their own twist on it, but they’re all good, but I always loved it when my mama made ‘em. I’m learning as I get older, making deviled eggs is no easy task. It’s more complicated than it looks, and so that’s probably why I never made ‘em myself.” [laughs]

Josh Turner (holidays) OC: …the peace and quiet. :38
“I love being outside in nature and the outdoors, and the holidays is a great time for me to go and partake in that part of my life. A lot of times, Thanksgiving and Christmas, it’s a little cold to go fishing, but when it comes to Thanksgiving and Christmas, it’s a great time to go hunting, especially in South Carolina, that’s when the temperatures are starting to drop and the conditions are getting right, and especially in November, kind of the tail end of the rut, as far as deer season. So, it’s a good time to get in the deer stand whether you kill anything or not, it’s just a great time to just get away from everything and get away from the noise and the lights and the diesel fumes [laughs] and just relax and just enjoy the peace and quiet.”

It’s just all about quality time and I love quality time. My favorite dish is some broccoli-cheese casserole and Tae’s favorite dish, I know, is cranberry sauce, just plain. Just plain ole cranberry sauce, no turkey, just cranberry sauce.” TAE: “She knows.” MADDIE: “That’s it.” TAE: “I genuinely feel there’s something wrong with me. (MADDIE: “Out of the can.”) out of the can. My parents know just to have cranberry sauce for me, like no one else can touch it. There’s a home video where my brother Mason tries to eat it, and I’m like, ‘What are you doing? This is mine.’” MADDIE: “She eats it out of the can.” TAE: “I do.”

I mean, it doesn’t matter what it is, as long as it’s sweet. My mom actually makes an Italian cream cake that’s absolutely awesome. It’s homemade, and the entire family, that’s the first thing to go at Thanksgiving dinner. And my Grandma D, she makes a pecan pie that is awesome. She taught me how to make them when I was little, and I just love them, and that’s the other thing that I look forward to at Thanksgiving dinner, and I love them both so much!”

My mom and dad went to high school together and all that stuff and all the family still lives back there on both sides. So, we kind of do a Thanksgiving with my dad’s side of the family, but all my life, we’ve always gone to my mom’s parents’ house on Thanksgiving, and they got a big ole house and a bunch of property and it’s really where I grew up is right there. That’s kind of home for me, so that’s kind of our thing. We always go there.”

But for Thanksgiving, we all try so hard to be together and it’s such a fun holiday to, my family’s a little cheesy. Like, we actually still go around the table and being like, ‘What are you thankful for?’ ‘What are you thankful for?’ So, that means a lot where it’s not about presents, it’s not about anything else. It’s just about truly being thankful, and that’s why I love Thanksgiving so much.”

(I’m) very grateful for the lifestyle that I have and if anybody needs help, please Lord please, direct me in what you want me to do. Just grateful for getting Rex in my life, my family being healthy and happy, my friends being healthy and happy. Tyler Hubbard (Thanksgiving 2022) OC: …blessing for sure. 1:13
“I’m just super thankful to kind of be in a place of, I guess I feel like we’ve made it through the thick—we kept calling it, ‘Man, we’re in the thick of it.’ We had a rough last couple of years, you know, my wife and I and family, getting through the pandemic, injuries, we had our third baby, the big transition career-wise – so everything at once, it felt like our world was somewhat collapsing. So now we’re in this stage of the rebuild, and not only can we see the light at the end of the tunnel, it almost feels like we’re there. So, I just look around every day lately and I’m just so grateful to be able to be back on tour, able to play shows, my kids are healthy, we’re all happy and in a good place and getting into a rhythm and having a good balance in our life between work and family and just feeling really good. So, as I’m approaching Thanksgiving here, I’m just really kind of looking back and reflecting on this last year and how different it was last year and even the year before that, and just how grateful I am to be able to be making music and doing what I love and also being really present as a dad and getting to watch these kids grow up. It’s really a cool blessing for sure.”

I mean, we didn’t reinvent the wheel with Thanksgiving by any means. But my Nanny (grandmother) does make a pretty mean sweet potato casserole, so that’s one of my favorites that I look forward to and I don’t know if that’s a tradition or not, but in my head it is. I love it.”
