Luke Bryan, Chris Stapleton and Kenny Chesney will headline the fifth annual Tortuga Music Festival. The three-day event will take place April 7^th – 9^th in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and will also feature performances by Alan Jackson, Darius Rucker, Brett Eldredge, Maren Morris, Dustin Lynch, Old Dominion and Nelly, among others.

Chris Stapleton appeared on NBC’s Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday (January 24th) for the show’s “Behind the Lyrics” segment. He “explains” the story behind the title track of his hit album, Traveller. Check it out here.

Luke Bryan will be joined by Cole Swindell, Phillip Phillips and songwriter Dallas Davidson to perform a benefit concert to help victims affected by the storms that recently devastated South Georgia. A  date for the benefit will be announced soon.

Little Big Town, Brothers Osborne, Lauren Alaina and Gary Allan are among the artists performing at Chicago’s Country LakeShake this summer. The three-day event, which also features Miranda Lambert, Rascal Flatts and many others, will take place June 23rd – 25th at the Huntington Bank Pavilion. Tickets go on sale February 3rd at 10am.

Gary Allan’s latest release, “Do You Wish It Was Me,” had some tough competition when it came time to pick the first single.

“Jonathan Singleton and Andrew Dorff. Man, I’ve always wanted to write with both of ‘em. I had a song already that I wanted to beat, so I basically took that song and played it for them and said, ‘If we beat this, we have a single,’” says Gary. “And, then we went through a couple of their hooks, landed on the hook. It was a great write. It was an easy write, and then I tracked it with my band and my band absolutely delivered. I love the track, so proud of it.”

Fans will be able to hear the song when he performs it during his show September 30th in Little Rock.

Gary Allan gave one of his biggest fans a memory to last a lifetime backstage at a concert in Kansas on Friday night (Aug. 26).

Renee is from Pinson, Tenn., just outside of Jackson. She first met Allan 19 years ago, when the then-aspiring star was opening for David Lee Murphy and Mark Chesnutt on his first-ever tour. She and her sister, Tammy, were huge Murphy fans who followed him to shows.

“She used to make this David Lee Murphy Chex mix, with peanuts and crackers and stuff like that, and she started bringing it to us, and baked us cakes every time she saw us,” Allan recalls to Taste of Country.

After meeting Renee and her sister several times, Allan told them he would steal them and turn them into Gary Allan fans. That prediction came true  … and then some. Renee has seen Allan in concert 300 times since then, traveling as far away as Washington State to attend shows. Once she even got into an accident on the way to a show, but still managed to make the gig. She has met Allan and his band many times, and when Allan got wind that Friday’s gig at the Cotillion Ballroom in Wichita was her 300th show, he decided to do something special in return.

I can probably only name the things on one hand that I’ve done 300 times.”

In the video above, he and his team surprise Renee with a cake from Cheri’s Bakery backstage at a special meet and greet, and Allan — who is a talented jeweler as well as a singer-songwriter — presents her with a ring that he made by hand for her.

“It was cool! She was super surprised,” he says. “She didn’t expect anything. It was really sweet.”

“We weren’t sure if we should celebrate her, or have her arrested,” he jokes, adding, “She’s actually a great fan. She’s always very polite. We always enjoy seeing her.”

Allan finds it astonishing to be the object of that kind of devotion.

“I can probably only name the things on one hand that I’ve done 300 times,” he says with a laugh. “I love that she’s such a great concert-goer … It’s totally flattering.”

He calls the occasion “a magic moment for all of us. It’s great getting to know our fans like that, and it’s great being aware that they’ve been around so much. I just think it’s wild that someone could come to see me 300 times.”

Gary Allan is causing a little bit of trouble in Tuttle, Oklahoma. It seems there’s a neighborhood feud with “Gary” at the center of it all. A peacock nicknamed after the country singer by Amber Motley is causing quite a ruckus with her neighbor across the street. “He’s kind of almost the mascot of the neighborhood,” Amber tells News 9. She insists the peacock is wild and just likes her house because she has “all the food.” Her neighbor, Linda Rutz, claims the bird is constantly on her roof, in her yard and in her garage and has called the police several times to complain about the bird.

Motley says police have told her if they have to come out another time because Gary has gone wandering, they’ll remove the peacock unless the Motleys can build an enclosure for the bird.

The real Gary Allan is making his way up the country charts with his latest single, “Do You Wish It Was Me?”

Last night (June 7th), Gary Allan performed to over 1,000 adoring fans at his annual Fan Club Party. The event took place at Rocketown and an intimate performance, requests from the audience, and a touching moment in memorium of a dear friend.

In the middle of his performance, Allan stopped the show to remember his longtime friend, the late Sharon Eaves. Eaves, who passed away in October of last year was the President of Allan’s Fan Club for almost twenty years and a well-respected music row veteran and humanitarian. Allan took a moment to explain what Sharon meant to him and what she meant to so many people, including those touched by her work at St. Jude Children’s Hospital. He was then joined by Bob Parks’ Dale Nichols who took on the task of auctioning off the first ring Gary designed from beginning to end for his new jewelry line. The silver skull designed ring featured three diamonds and Gary’s initials inside the band. The lucky winner got the ring for $7500. In addition to the live auction at the Fan Club Party, Allan also hosted an online auction in Sharon’s honor last week wherein he auctioned off early admittance and front row seats, a signed guitar, a signed drum head as well as meet & greets at Allan’s shows for a year. Through the generosity of his fans, the event raised over $25,000 for St. Jude in Sharon’s honor.

In addition to the auction and taking requests from the audience, Allan performed a two-hour set that included chart-toppers “Watching Airplanes” and “Every Storm (Runs Out Of Rain).” He also performed several selections from his new studio album, including the first ever live performance of his new single, “Do You Wish It Was Me?,” which will be available for digital on-sale this Friday, June 10th.

Gary Allan is starting to hit the airwaves with his new single, “Do You Wish It Was Me, which he co-wrote with Jonathan Singleton and Andrew Dorff. It’s the sexy first release from his upcoming album. He said it was a pretty speedy writing session which resulted in a song that everyone could relate to in their own lives.

“I think everybody’s got somebody in the back of their mind or hope that somebody has them in the back of their mind,” says Gary. “I think that was what was so intriguing about the title ‘Do You Wish It Was Me.’ And then after that, it was just trying to paint the picture, and it was an easy write. It was pretty quick.”

He definitely wants to collaborate with Jonathan and Andrew again. “It was a couple of hours I was walking out of there going, ‘We should do that again!’”
