• LAUREN ALAINA’S ‘DOIN’ FINE’ IS PRETTY SPECIAL.

Lauren Alaina’s latest song “Doin’ Fine” is pretty special to the Georgia native, for a variety reasons, most of all because it’s based on her real life.

“‘Doin’ Fine’ is a really special song, because it’s super uplifting but really honest at the same time. It’s almost like, ‘What is going on?’ If you don’t know me and you don’t know that’s actually what I went through, you would almost be like, ‘Omigosh! She really tried to write a country song,’ but the truth is I really live a country song.”

Lauren co-wrote the song with Emily Shackleton and busbee after her mother and father divorced, her mother got remarried to a family friend and her father went into rehab after acknowledging he’s an alcoholic. He sought and found treatment and is also remarried now…all of which is documented in her song “Doin’ Fine.”

Lauren will hit the road with Jason Aldean launches his 2018 High Noon Neon Tour May 10th in Kansas City, Missouri.

  • ALAN JACKSON’S ‘HONKY TONK HIGHWAY TOUR’ ADDS SPECIAL GUESTS.

With a year of sold-out shows and packed houses in the rearview mirror, Country Music Hall of Famer Alan Jackson’s Honky Tonk Highway Tour is about to add more miles as it rolls into 2018, with the first shows on tap next weekend. And the superstar will be bringing a diverse and exciting lineup of talent with him when he comes to a city near you in 2018!

Country hitmaker Randy Houser, vocalist Lauren Alaina, trio Runaway June and frequent collaborator Lee Ann Womack will be special guests on Jackson’s Honky Tonk Highway Tour throughout the new year (detailed list below). The news comes as Jackson prepares to kick off the tour next Friday, January 19 (in Lexington, KY) and Saturday, January 20 (in Little Rock, AR). Tickets for those shows and all concerts are on sale now by visiting www.alanjackson.com, where you can find information about Alan, his tour schedule, music and more. VIP tickets and packages are also available.

As previously announced, Georgia native Lauren Alaina joins Jackson for the first weekend of his tour. The recent CMA Best New Artist nominee captured America’s hearts when she appeared on Season 10 of American Idol. Last year, she followed up her #1 debuting first album with the release of the eagerly-awaited, Road Less Traveled, which features her first chart-topping hit and title track, “Road Less Traveled.”

With three-part female harmonies, ringing strings and stories that speak the language of modern women – vocal trio Runaway June mixes bluegrass tradition with dusty desert cool. Lead singer-guitarist Naomi Cooke, singer-mandolin picker Hannah Mulholland and singer-guitarist Jennifer Wayne (granddaughter of film icon John Wayne) fuse their individual influences to create a style that’s already scored chart success.

Hitmaker Randy Houser will join Jackson on the majority of his 2018 stops along the Honky Tonk Highway. Houser’s vocals have earned raves and his music has made him a staple on country radio over the past decade, as he topped the charts with “How Country Feels,” “Runnin’ Outta Moonlight,” “Goodnight Kiss” and “We Went.” Also known for such hits as “Boots On” and his critically-acclaimed powerful delivery of the Top 5 smash and CMA Song of the Year nominated “Like A Cowboy,” Houser has been working on a new project due out this year.

As a frequent Jackson duet partner, Lee Ann Womack has appeared on several of Alan’s albums, and the two have shared a number of stages, including the Grand Ole Opry and Carnegie Hall. The Grammy-winner has built a career singing songs that slice life wide open with a soprano that is all purity and ache, a theme she carried over into her latest critically acclaimed album, The Lonely, The Lonesome & The Gone. A CMA Female Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year winner, Womack is one of the most distinctive and decorated vocalists in modern music.

Alan Jackson’s concerts find the country icon performing hits that have gained him legions of longtime fans, songs that continue to draw new crowds as a younger generation discovers his music. Jackson’s repertoire withstands the test of time; it has impacted a field of artists who cite Jackson as an influence. It’s these same songs – many of them written by Alan – that earned him his newfound place alongside country music’s greatest names and cemented his place in its history with his new membership in the Country Music Hall of Fame. Fans will hear the songs they love from the man who wrote them and made them famous, including his debut hit, “Here in The Real World”…signature songs such as “Chattahoochee,” “Drive” and “Gone Country”…party anthems “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere” and “Good Time”…and many, many more. Tickets for Alan Jackson’s Honky Tonk Highway Tour are on sale now.

  • LAUREN ALAINA FINDS HER VOICE IN HER LATEST HIT, ‘DOIN’ FINE.’

As Lauren Alaina was preparing to make her second album Road Less Traveled, her life was not doing fine. What should have been an exciting time for the young artist was overshadowed by the events of her personal life. Lauren shares that her parents were in the process of getting a divorce, and she had the feeling of being pulled in a bunch of different directions, but one person, and one song, helped Lauren cut through all of that to find her “voice” as a songwriter.

When she got together with busbee, who went on to produce the album for Lauren, he posed some simple questions to her, “What do you want to say? What are you going through right now? What is happening to you in your life?” Lauren recalls it was at that point where she totally opened up to him and “just lost it.” But in searching for those answers, Lauren says she found clarity thanks to busbee,

“It was the first time that I thought ‘Oh, I should write about me, and what’s actually happening.’ And he, really helped me with that. He really, really helped me to realize that honesty is what works.”

She also found a song in that writing session…”Doin’ Fine,” which is one of the most autobiographical tracks from her album Road Less Traveled that fans are connecting with because many are going through the same life events, and can relate to the honesty of the music.

Fans can hear the track on country radio as it makes it’s way into the top 40 this week.

Lauren is set to hit the road with Cole Swindell on his The Reason to Drink Tour, kicking off February 15th in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Lauren Alaina (finding honesty in Doin’ Fine) OC: …what works. :48
“You know, it was a really hard time for me because the first album came out so quickly and then this one was quite a bit slower…I had no idea it was going to be as slow as it was (laugh)…but, it was a really hard time because I wasn’t sure…I felt like I had a million people tell me what they thought I should say, and busbee never did that. Busbee was the one who was like ‘What do you want to say? What are you going through right now? What is happening to you in your life?’ And I was like (fake crying) ‘My parents are going through a divorce’ and I just lost it in this write. But it was the first time that I thought ‘Oh, I should write about me, and what’s actually happening.’ And he, really helped me with that. He really, really helped me to realize that honesty is what works.”

  • LAUREN ALAINA MAKES HER FIRST DONATION FROM HER ‘MY KINDA PEOPLE’ CHARITY TO FRIENDS LIFE COMMUNITY.

With the launch of her “My Kinda People” charity, country star Lauren Alaina made her first donation to Friends Life Community, a Nashville nonprofit that serves more than 40 adults with special needs and their families, providing the additional support adults with disabilities require to achieve a fulfilling and quality life.

“What the people at Friends Life Community are doing is really amazing and something I feel really passionately about,” say Lauren. “I am honored to make my first donation from my foundation to them.”

On Sept. 19, Friends Life Community hosted its 9th Annual Songwriters’ Night at City Winery in Nashville with Lauren as the headlining performer. Proceeds from the event, including Lauren’s donation, directly fund programs offered at Friends Life Community which create opportunities for teenagers and adults with disabilities to develop socially, grow personally, and enjoy community as they experience life together.

Lauren’s donation to Friends Life Community stems from her new charitable initiative, “My Kinda People,” a philanthropic effort by the recording artist to generate awareness and support for those who need it most.

“I have the most amazing and unique job, and I have been privileged to meet so many people all over the world and hear their stories.  Some of those stories are uplifting and some of those stories are painful, but all of the stories have touched me and left a lasting impression,” explains Lauren. “‘My Kinda People’ is a way we can all come together and donate to those causes that mean something to you and to me. We can each help in our own way.”

On this #GivingTuesday, Lauren is asking that donations be made to support Friends Life Community through www.FriendsLife.org/LaurenAlaina.
