    Shania Twain is among the newest inductees to the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, alongside Steve Wariner, Gary Nicholson, David Malloy and Hillary Lindsey.  They will be officially inducted during the 52nd annual Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame Gala at Music City Center on October 30th.

    Luke Bryan was featured on ABC’s Nightline program on Tuesday night (August 2nd). He talked about his career, ups and downs in his family life and how he keeps his energy up every day.

     

    Chrissy Metz (This Is Us) is about to embark on a tour next week. She’s set to kick off the City Winery trek beginning August 9th in Washington, D.C., followed by shows in Philadelphia, New York, Boston, Chicago and Atlanta, before wrapping in Nashville on September 1st.

    Reba McEntire just voiced an ominous new promo for the new season of ABC’s Big Sky. It was announced recently that she’ll be joining the cast of the show this year. Look for the new season to premiere September 21st.

    Reba McEntire has announced a fall arena tour REBA: LIVE IN CONCERT, set to kick off October 13 in Lafayette, LA. With 35 No. 1 hits under her belt, the award-winning entertainer will deliver hit after hit during her “entertaining and flawlessly executed” (Pittsburgh Post-Gazette) live show. Presented by Live Nation, the 17-city tour will feature special guest Terri Clark across all shows.

    “I can’t wait to see everyone out on the road again this fall,” said Reba. “We had so much fun in the spring and I’m ready to get back out there with my buddy Terri Clark!”

     

    Tickets for REBA: LIVE IN CONCERT go on sale Friday, July 15 at 10 AM local time. Reba fans can access a special fan presale starting Tuesday, July 12 at 10 AM local time by signing up for Reba’s email list here.     Reba McEntire will star in the new Lifetime movie, “The Hammer,” along with boyfriend Rex Linn (CSI: Miami, Better Call Saul) and her Reba show co-star and close friend, Melissa Peterman. Reba also serves as executive producer on the film, which is inspired by the life of traveling circuit judge Kim Wanker. This is not the only place you’ll be able to catch the country superstar on the small screen. She’s also joining the of the ABC series, Big Sky, this coming season.

    Parker McCollum sold out three nights in a row at the Whitewater Amphitheatre in New Braunsfels, Texas recently. He said it was “absolutely electric every night. My favorite venue in the world.”

     

    Travis Denning releases a new song, “Buy A Girl A Drink,” on Friday (July 8th). He says he “fell in love with this song the moment we wrote it. So much of me and (fiancee) Madison’s story is in it, and I know so many others are in it as well.”

    Kacey Musgraves recently performed the Elvis cover “Can’t Help Falling in Love” (from The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack ELVIS) at Hampton Court Palace in England as part of her star-crossed tour.

    Reba McEntire has joined the cast of ABC’s Big Sky as a series regular for Season 3. She’ll star as Sunny Brick, the matriarch of the Brick family, described as a “successful backcountry outfitter with a secret history of missing customers.”


    Little Big Town
    are among the artists joining Wynonna as she embarks on The Judds final tour solo this fall after the unexpected and tragic death of her mother Naomi. Martina McBride (originally on the bill), along with Faith Hill, Trisha Yearwood, Ashley McBryde and Brandi Carlile will also hit the road with Wy.

    Luke Bryan  and Chris Stapleton honored the legendary Lionel Richie during the star-studded PBS special, Lionel Richie: The Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song. Luke, seated at a piano, performed “Lady,” which was written by Lionel for the late Kenny Rogers. Chris performed “Say You, Say Me.”

    Taylor Swift gave the commencement speech to the class of 2022 at New York University this week, and she was awarded a doctorate degree, as well.

    Sam Hunt will join acclaimed hit songwriter and founder of Big Loud Records and Big Loud Shirt, Craig Wiseman, for the 2022 Second Harvest benefit concert presented by American Airlines. Stars for Second Harvest will be held at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium on Tuesday, June 7th at 7:30pm. Country singer-songwriters ERNEST and Ben Burgess will also perform.

  • REBA McENTIRE WILL PUBLISH A LIFESTYLE BOOK FOR RELEASE NEXT YEAR.

    Global superstar Reba McEntire has joined forces with Harper Celebrate, a gift book imprint of HarperCollins Focus, for a forthcoming lifestyle book for release in the fall of 2023. The full-color book will feature personal stories, food and cocktail recipes, and lifestyle tips that range from hosting to packing a suitcase. Each chapter will be centered on a theme from her iconic songs including grit, family legacy, being curious, and prioritizing the things that matter most.

    Reba remarked, “I’m so excited to partner with the Harper Celebrate team to create my first lifestyle book where I will share stories, behind the scenes photos, some of my favorite recipes and life lessons I’ve learned over the years. I know my fans are going to love it!”

    “Reba is universally beloved for her talent, humor, and unapologetic authenticity,” said Michael Aulisio, vice president and publisher, Harper Celebrate. “This book will offer readers a seat at Reba’s table as she shares her hard-earned wisdom on what it means to live a good life.     She previously co-wrote a 1994 memoir titled Reba: My Story with Tom Carter and also authored a second biography, Comfort From a Country Quilt, in 1999. In February, she released her latest album My Chains Are Gone, a collection of classic hymns and gospel songs.

    Dierks Bentley was inducted into the Music City Walk of Fame on Tuesday (April 5th). He, along with musicians Keb’Mo, Bobby Bare and Connie Smith, were recognized for their contributions to preserving the musical heritage of Nashville with their own star on the Walk of Fame.

    Reba McEntire scored her 28th Top 10 album on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart as My Chains Are Gone debuts at No. 9.

    Luke Bryan and his wife Caroline, along with NASCAR legend Darryl Waltrip, helped break ground on Williamson Medical Center’s $200 million expansion earlier this week. The project will be the largest renovation to date for the hospital, which has been at its current home on Carothers Parkway since 1986. Luke and Caroline will help raise $50 million dollars via a capital campaign for the reno. Caroline Bryan, who serves as co-chair of the campaign, said her family settled on moving to Franklin when they realized how close their potential new home would be to Williamson Medical Center. “This is where our children were born. This is where their doctors are. This is where my doctors are,” Caroline Bryan tells The Tennessean. “Anything from a routine visit to the ER visits, everybody is just fantastic, and watching this getting ready to expand is so needed. It’s time. It’s exciting.” Luke added, “We get to have a voice to make sure this is the best health care you could ever dream of,” Luke Bryan said.
