Shania Twain is the subject of a new, career-spanning documentary, “Not Just a Girl,” which is directed by Joss Crowley. The film will be available to stream beginning Tuesday, July 26th on Netflix.
Since the ’90s, Shania has led the way as a genre-defying, iconic, and empowered female, who has smashed records, amassed an enormous international fanbase, and generated a catalog of some of the biggest hits that have stood the test of time.

It features studio footage and new interviews with Shania at home, as well as interviews with Lionel Richie, Kelsea Ballerini, Avril Lavigne, Diplo, Orville Peck and others.
In addition to the documentary, the global superstar will release a compilation album “Not Just a Girl (The Highlights)” via Mercury Nashville/UMe, which includes a new bonus title track, alongside some of her biggest hits in order of appearance in the documentary.

DownloadShania Twain (Lyme’s Disease) OC: …again myself. :33
“When I got Lyme’s Disease, I started having problems with my voice. I didn’t understand the problems. For these many years I researched, seen many doctors, finally got to the bottom of it in Philadelphia with a doctor named Dr. Sataloff. He did all kinds of prodding and poking and testing to finally get down to the fact that I had some nerve damage from the Lyme’s Disease, that the Lyme’s Disease had caused, and that affects the way you phonate, the way you make sound and I just didn’t have the control or the quality of tone that I had had before and to the point where I never thought I would sing again. I believed that that was it. I could continue being a songwriter but as far as being a vocalist, it was over. It was a very, very devastating feeling for all those years believing that I would never sing again. I thought that all I could do musically was be a songwriter for other artists and that I would never sing again myself.”
