  • SAM WILLIAMS RELEASES DELUXE ALBUM GLASSHOUSE CHILDREN: TILTED CROWN.

Today, Nashville singer/songwriter Sam Williams releases Glasshouse Children: Tilted Crown, a deluxe version of his celebrated debut Glasshouse Children. The expanded edition features six new tracks, including the previously released Ragdollas well as new song “Tilted Crown” out today.

Listen to Glasshouse Children: Tilted Crown HERE

On the heart-rending new song “Tilted Crown,” Williams croons over a somber production, reflecting on the ups and downs of growing up, of love and loss and dealing with his legacy in life. Stay tuned for the tear-jerking video coming next week.

“The first verse of ‘Tilted Crown’ was a poem that I had been writing, and I had just run into a dead end with it. I just knew that I had to take that and transform it into song,” shares Williams. “It’s kind of if everyone’s life was royal or medieval or however you want to explain it and the things that were happening to me in that phase of my life… I felt like I was losing things and God kept taking things from me and I was in this position of a war with my life. I think it’s about carrying your legacy, and I don’t just mean my legacy in music. I mean everyone’s legacy and living that out the best way possible with everything you face in this life.”

Released last year, Williams’ debut Glasshouse Children received glowing reviews right out the gate. Rolling Stone said the LP was “…an introspective meditation on hurt and healing, growth and loss, sin and redemption: it’s a reckoning with fate, freewill and the family ties that bind us. Sam’s skyscraping vocals shine through these ten lush, cinematic songs, as he delivers gut-wrenching, honest and plainspoken lyrics with raw vulnerability and deep empathy.”

Music Row said, “The project is strikingly vulnerable, with songs about healing, growth, loss and redemption that show off Williams’ connection to country music’s roots and forward thinking approach to artistry.”

Williams spent the summer touring the UK with famed singer/songwriter Marty Stuart and is now at home working on new music.

The grandson of country pioneer Hank Williams and the son of outlaw legend Hank Jr., Sam Williams is the latest in a long line of American originals, but he’s not here for the sake of tradition. He sings with his own singular voice and he writes in his own singular style, fusing gut-wrenching honesty with plainspoken poetics and raw vulnerability with deep empathy. Suffering the sudden loss of his sister and mother this past year has been profoundly devastating for Williams, but the journey of grief and self-discovery he has found himself on has led to a deeper understanding of his purpose in life and inspired him to honor his legacy with truth and integrity.

Carrie Underwood (hopes for fans) OC: …time with it. 1:00
“I hope when fans listen to the album, Denim & Rhinestones, that they just feel happy. When we set out to make this entire project, I walked in the writing room with my co-producer David (Garcia), and he’s like, ‘Well, what are we doing? What do you want to do?’ And I said, I just want to have fun. I feel like over the past couple of years, everybody’s been a little cooped up and just need some fun in their lives. You know, thinking about taking all of these songs on the road, I just wanted to think about as we were writing and as I was choosing songs, which ones would be great live. I love this album so much. It makes me happy. I hope they learn a little bit more about my musical influences and things that I like, because I feel like a lot of those just worked their way into this album. But, most of all, I just want them to feel happy, I want them to dance, I want them to sing and just have a good time with it.”

Audio / JORDAN DAVIS TALKS ABOUT HOW HE AND HIS THREE CO-WRITERS CAME UP WITH THE SONG, "BUY DIRT."

Jordan Davis (Buy Dirt origin) OC: …that day. :55
“We took a writer’s retreat a little south of Nashville, me and three of my favorite writers in the world – Matt Jenkins, Josh Jenkins and my brother Jacob. We started every day – we were down there three days – and we started every day with coffee on the back porch, and Josh would lead us in some type of devotional. He would find some scripture and then we would just kind of chew on it for a little bit. That day he had read, and I need to remember the exact scripture, but it was something about being planted, being planted in the dirt and having a strong root system so you can weather storms and rain. That is really the start of ‘Buy Dirt.’ And I don’t know if that song comes if we don’t wake up early and get out there and kind of start talking about real life. That was where it all started, and I’m grateful, grateful that I (laughs) didn’t sleep in that day.”

‘Hate My Heart’ was definitely part of my desire to have fun on this album.  I wanted songs that would be exciting to perform live and would fill up an arena, and that’s exactly what we’re about to do with The Denim & Rhinestones Tour.  This one is definitely going to get everyone up on their feet and having a good time.  It was great writing ‘Hate My Heart’ with Hillary Lindsey and David Garcia, who I love collaborating with, and also getting to work with Hardy, who brought a cool vibe and an energy to the track.”

Underwood is nominated for three awards at the upcoming CMA Awards on November 9, including Entertainer of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year and Musical Event of the Year for the multi-week #1 smash hit, “If I Didn’t Love You” with Jason Aldean.

Underwood released Denim & Rhinestones in June and is the latest collaboration with David Garcia, with whom she co-produced her critically-acclaimed 2018 release, Cry Pretty and her 2021 GRAMMY® Award-winning album of gospel hymns, My Savior:

“Carrie Underwood achieves timeless, legendary country status with Denim & Rhinestones.
    – The Tennessean

“And after selling 66 million albums and winning more than 100 major awards,
Underwood bounces through a mix of synth-pop, soul, rootsy country and
roadhouse blues for a 12-song set that pulsates with real joy.”
    – Toronto Sun

Denim & Rhinestones marks Underwood’s 10th consecutive career Top 10 debut on the Billboard Top 200 chart for all genres.  All 10 of Underwood’s albums (including nine studio albums and her 2014 Greatest Hits: Decade #1) have debuted in the Top 10, beginning with her first album, Some Hearts, which was released in 2005.  Denim & Rhinestones debuted as the top-selling country album in the U.S and the #1 country album in Australia, Canada and UK.  She is the most-awarded female country artist for singles in RIAA history.

Underwood’s stellar year also included a commanding headlining performance at the iconic Stagecoach Festival stage, where she appeared for the fourth time, having made her Stagecoach debut in 2008, followed by performances in 2011 and 2016.  A surprise performance with Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose made headlines around the world.  She surprised fans again when she joined Guns N’ Roses onstage for two songs during each of their shows at the UK’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in July.

Underwood will resume her ongoing REFLECTION: The Las Vegas Residency at the Resorts World Theatre in 2023, following THE DENIM & RHINESTONES TOUR.  The first artist to grace the stage of the new 5,000-seat, world-class theatre, she debuted her residency with a sold-out run in December 2021 and went on to perform additional sold-out runs through Spring 2022.  2023 dates for REFLECTION will be announced at a later date.

Carrie Underwood (Hate My Heart) OC: …sing together. 1:08
“’Hate My Heart’ is one of the more kind of rockin’ songs on the album. That is one I wrote with Hillary Lindsey, David Garcia and Michael Hardy. And Hardy, of course, is an artist-songwriter, and he definitely has just such a cool way of writing that I’ve respected since the first time I heard some of his stuff that he had written for other people and even some of his own things as an artist that he does. You can immediately tell that he has a special way of saying things. He definitely was a super strong presence in the room that day. We just had a blast writing this song. I feel like it came out very easily, and it was fun getting to make the demo and go into the recording booth and kind of put myself down in it, and fun fact – on the demo, he actually got in there, Michael (HARDY) got in there and did the BGVs (background vocals), so that was a fun experience to kind of get to hear us sing together.”

  • TYLER HUBBARD’S FIRST EXPOSURE TO MUSIC WAS THROUGH CHURCH AND ROAD TRIPS.

Tyler Hubbard has curated an impressive body of music, both as one-half of the award-winning and multi-platinum duo Florida Georgia Line, and more recently as a solo artist. The singer-songwriter-producer lives, eats and breathes music.

The Georgia native’s exposure to music began in church, but it was expanded during car trips with the family. “My first real experiences of music just really reaching me to the core was in worship, and I think I fell in love with music in church,” says Tyler. “But I do recall, even as a child, listening to old country CDs and being on road trips and listening to Alabama and Garth Brooks and Alan Jackson and really feeling like I was impacted on those trips listening to those songs and hearing the stories and the songwriting and the melodies and how they put that together so well. So, I’d say in between church (and) in between car trips with the family, that was my initial falling in love with music.”

Tyler is currently climbing to the top of the country charts with “5 Foot 9,” the first single from his upcoming album, which will be available January 27th, 2023.

He’s currently on tour with Keith Urban on THE SPEED OF NOW WORLD TOURand the next stops on the trek are Thursday (October 13th) in Savannah, Georgia; Friday (October 14th) in Knoxville, Tennessee and Saturday (October 15th) in Charleston, West Virginia.
