• COUNTRY MUSIC ICON VINCE GILL TO HELP RYMAN AUDITORIUM CELEBRATE 130TH ANNIVERSARY WITH FOUR-NIGHT RESIDENCY.

Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium has announced a four-night residency featuring GRAMMY Award-winning, Country Music Hall of Famer and Grand Ole Opry Member Vince Gill coming this August, with special guest Wendy Moten, to help celebrate 130 years of the venue’s storied legacy. Gill’s Ryman Residency will mark his first solo performance at the Mother Church since two back-to-back sold out shows in 2007. The residency takes place August 4th-7th, and tickets go on sale this Friday (May 6th) at 10am CT at ryman.com.

“Of all the great concert halls in America and throughout the world, the Ryman is by far my favorite,” says Gill. “I knew it was a unique venue the first time I set foot on the stage over 30 years ago. It was just me and an acoustic guitar and to this day that moment was like nothing I’ve ever experienced.”

Already a fixture on the Ryman stage with his wife Amy Grant and their annual ‘Christmas at the Ryman’ shows and many appearances at the Ryman’s annual Bluegrass Nights series, Gill’s residency adds to the Ryman’s 130th anniversary celebration. The hallowed venue will mark this milestone with more concerts and residencies than ever before, new daytime tour experiences, and community events. Gill joins the growing list of 2022 Ryman Residencies, including Dwight Yoakam (Jan. 19-21); Tedeschi Trucks Band (Feb. 22-23, 25-26); Billy Strings, who kicks off his residency (May 6-8); and more residencies to be announced.

“To have Vince be a part of our 130th-anniversary year with a four-night Ryman Residency is so incredibly fitting and such an honor,” says Chrissy Hall, Director of Concerts for Ryman Auditorium. “He has a deep love for the building and the magic that happens here. We are beyond excited to welcome him back to the Ryman stage for such a historic milestone.”

Since the first concert on May 4, 1892, the Ryman has celebrated an array of entertainment acts and all genres of music on its hallowed stage – from magician Harry Houdini to comic actor Charlie Chaplin and former president Theodore Roosevelt to civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr., plus music icons from all genres including Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, B.B. King, Sheryl Crow, Garth Brooks, Lizzo and Harry Styles.

  • DARIUS RUCKER HAS RELEASED A NEW SONG, “SAME BEER DIFFERENT PROBLEM.’

Following No. 1 hit “Beers And Sunshine” and recent single “My Masterpiece,” three-time GRAMMY winner Darius Rucker continues to share new music as he crafts a forthcoming solo album with “Same Beer Different Problem” available on digital and streaming platforms now. Listen HERE.

Written by the multi-Platinum star together with Tofer Brown, Sarah Buxton and Old Dominion’s Brad Tursi, the Ross Copperman-produced track offers a lighthearted take on the chaos of today’s world:

You got your cars without drivers, traffic’s getting worse

We’re racin’ off to space, just to get away from Earth

3G, 4G, 5G, getting even further from the OG

            Granny’s eatin’ gummies, Mama’s online

All I know for sure is we’ve all lost our minds

A little bit funny, a lotta bit strange

But at the end of the day

It’s the same beer, different problem

“The line ‘a little bit funny, a lotta bit strange’ really sums up the message of this song and all of the things that make you shake your head these days,” reflects Rucker. “We had so much fun as songwriters coming up with all of those examples and putting a lighthearted spin on the craziness of the world.”

In addition to actively working on a new album, his first solo project since 2017’s critically acclaimed When Was the Last Time, Rucker also recently announced a summer run of U.S. and Canada tour dates, continuing the Darius Rucker Live tour that began earlier this year as a theater tour visiting iconic venues across the country.

The man celebrated by Billboard as “one of the most distinctive voices of country’s modern era” also recently announced the 13th annual “Darius And Friends” benefit concert set for June 6 in support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which will unofficially kick off the week of CMA Fest – where Rucker will also headline Nissan Stadium on June 9 – as well as his the inaugural year of his personally curated Riverfront Revival music festival in his hometown of Charleston, S.C. this October.

“’Same Beer Different Problem’ is a song I wrote with a couple of buddies. It’s a song about what’s going on in the world, but more about how if we just sit down and have a beer and talk about things, we could probably work on every problem in the world, but instead we just argue and hate and do all that stuff. I love that song.”

  • CARRIE UNDERWOOD DEBUTS CINEMATIC MUSIC VIDEO FOR “GHOST STORY.”

On the eve of her exciting return to headline the legendary Stagecoach Festival, 8-time GRAMMY® Award winner Carrie Underwood debuts the World Premiere of the cinematic official music video for her new single “Ghost Story,” available now on all platforms.

Underwood has also teamed up with YouTube for an exclusive Stagecoach Pre-Party on April 30 at 9:50pm PT, only available to YouTube Premium members here, which will take place just prior to her livestreamed headline performance from Stagecoach beginning 10:00pm PT (Watch Here).

Released March 18th, “Ghost Story” is currently climbing the charts and is the lead single from Underwood’s just-announced album Denim & Rhinestones, out June 10th.

The music video was directed by Underwood’s longtime collaborator, acclaimed director and photographer, Randee St. Nicholas, who has shot numerous videos with Underwood throughout her career, including “Cry Pretty,” “Drinking Alone,” “Blown Away,” “Smoke Break,” and 2020’s “Hallelujah” with John Legend, all of which have been honored as CMT’s fan-voted Video of the Year, as well as now-iconic artwork for many of Underwood’s albums such as Blown Away,  Storyteller, Cry Pretty, and now, Denim & Rhinestones.

“Ghost Story” was written by Josh Kear, Hillary Lindsey and David Garcia and co-produced by David Garcia and Underwood. The hot new single was performed by the superstar on the recent 64th Annual GRAMMY® Awards, and also for the 2022 CMT Music Awards, in a show-stopping, high-flying version from the stage of the Resorts World Theatre, home of her REFLECTION: The Las Vegas Residency.

The music video was filmed in downtown L.A. at famed 1931 movie palace, the Los Angeles Theatre.  With its crystal chandeliers, marble, gold leaf, silk damask wall coverings, and an extraordinary fountain of marble and crystal in the upper lobby, the beautiful and historic location set the tone for the haunting story of a past love affair, where one person has moved on and is living her life while the other is haunted by her memory everywhere he turns and in everything he does.  The ambience is sensual and moody, with a tip of the hat to the glamour of “Moulin Rouge.”

Underwood, who also performs on a trapeze in the video, says, “Randee St. Nicholas has an incredible eye and always knows how to film everything in the most unique and beautiful way.  I am very visually-oriented and from the first time I heard ‘Ghost Story,’ I had a vision for how I wanted to bring this song to life in performance and Randee always takes everything to a whole other artistic level beyond my own imagination.”

The Denim & Rhinestones album is Underwood’s latest collaboration with David Garcia, having co-produced her critically-acclaimed 2018 release, Cry Pretty, which marked the first time she produced her own album.  Garcia and Underwood also co-produced her 2021 GRAMMY® Award-winning album of gospel hymns, My Savior.

The Denim & Rhinestones Signed CD Box Set and Vinyl Box Sets are available for preorder now, which include an exclusive t-shirt, rhinestone pack, denim tote bag, and album slip mat in limited quantities here. Fans can order from physical retailers here. The vinyl edition will be available in July and a cassette version on August 5.

Underwood recently won her 8th GRAMMY® Award for Best Roots Gospel Album for My Savior, where she and Jason Aldean were also nominated for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for their smash hit #1 duet, “If I Didn’t Love You.”  The duo won ACM Single of the Year as well as two 2022 CMT Music Awards for “If I Didn’t Love You” – Collaborative Video of the Year and Video of the Year, continuing Underwood’s reign as the most awarded artist in CMT history with 25 total wins.  The multi-week #1 “If I Didn’t Love You” has spent a record-setting 26 weeks in the Top 10 of Billboard Country Airplay so far, with more than 364 million global streams RTD.

She continues her ongoing, REFLECTION: The Las Vegas Residency at the Resorts World Theatre in May, having opened the new 5,000-capacity, world-class theatre, the first artist to grace the largest and tallest stage in Las Vegas, with sold-out shows in December 2021 and March 2022.

Audio / LUKE BRYAN TALKS ABOUT THE FARM TOUR AND HOW MUCH IT'S GROWN OVER THE YEARS.

    Download

Luke Bryan (Farm Tour) OC: …through the years. 1:04
“Well, yeah, I mean the Farm Tour has grown throughout the years, and the fact that we can set a stage up in a hayfield or some kind of field and people flock to it is what I envisioned when I created Farm Tour, and to obviously help some kids with scholarships and stuff like that. But the Farm Tour has grown every year, and it’s always something we look forward to. It’s really an exciting time to be able to just be out on a farm on a Fall night. Sometimes it’s cool and everybody’s got, it’s perfect jacket weather and everybody’s just enjoying music and having fun, and it’s happening in these little towns that have never gotten a show like this. So, it’s always fun knowing that I leave these little towns, and they can go, ‘Hey, we got to go party out in a field and hear a bunch of Nashville country music singers roll in,’ and give ‘em a great show. So many great memories through the years.”

  • KEITH URBAN HITS THE UNITED KINGDOM ON TOUR AND BRINGS ENTHUSIASTIC FAN ON STAGE.

Keith Urban began his tour across the pond on Thursday (April 28th) in Birmingham, UK, and he brought an enthusiastic fan named Paul on stage to sing a portion of the star’s 2003 No. 1 hit, “Who Wouldn’t Wanna Be Me” — and he did a great job!

Keith’s next stop is Sunday (May 1st) in Newcastle, followed by shows in Manchester, Bournemouth, London (2x) and Edinburgh before returning to the States. He’s currently making his way to the top of the country charts with his latest song, “Wild Hearts.”

  • KEITH URBAN’S “WILD HEART” WAS MESMERIZED BY THE MAN IN BLACK.

Keith Urban dedicated his latest Top 10 single, “Wild Hearts,” to the drifters, dreamers and born to be rock stars. The tune, which he wrote with Brad Tursi of Old Dominion, Eric Paslay and Jennifer Wayne, is quintessential Keith is so many ways, and which finds him singing about some of the people who tried to dash his dreams of being a musician and the first concert his dad took him to, which was the legendary Johnny Cash (aka Man in Black), and that moment changed his life forever.

    Saw the man in black
    Spotlight in the air
    Heard a thousand screams
    Saw my daddy stare
    Feel like I’ve been runnin’
Since the day that I was born
    Eagle on my back
    Phoenix on my arm

“The first concert that my dad took my brother and I to was Johnny Cash, and that’s probably the most powerful first image that I have of watching someone perform,” says Keith. “I remember ‘cause it was very rowdy, you know, and I remember it was so noisy and at a certain point the spotlight hit the stage and Johnny walked out to the microphone, had a little chat, got his guitar on and then the entire place went dead silent. And I just remember this big white beam coming across the top of my head up to the stage, and from this roar – massive roar – to dead silence where you could hear a pin drop and this man and his guitar singing, I was just mesmerized.”

Keith is currently across the pond in the U-K playing shows through May 9th.

Audio / Keith Urban recalls certain details about going to see his first concert, which just so happened to be the late Johnny Cash.

  • PRISCILLA BLOCK WRAPS WELCOME TO THE BLOCK PARTY TOUR WITH 11 SOLD OUT SHOWS.

Priscilla Block is one of country music’s most exciting young stars with her undeniable voice, candid lyrics, self-made status, and loyal following. Priscilla recently wrapped her first ever headlining tour with 11 sold out shows. Priscilla’s WELCOME TO THE BLOCK PARTY TOUR had fans singing every word in packed venues from Huntsville, Atlanta, Oxford, and Knoxville to Columbia (Mo.), Peoria, Houston, and Dallas. Hitting 15 markets overall, Priscilla performed all of her music from her debut album Welcome to the Block Party (Mercury Nashville) released in February including the RIAA Gold-certified “Just About Over You,” the body positive anthem “Thick Thighs,” and current radio single, “My Bar.”

“This tour has honestly been the highlight of the past couple years. It’s realizing in person, in real time, this is working,” says Priscilla, who has dreamt of and worked towards this moment since high school. “The fans are unreal! They show up singing every single song, drinks in hand, with their hoops on and hair up high. I’m over the moon! This is what I want to do forever, and I want to keep building that hard ticket to get to stadiums one day, baby!”

Bringing a lyrically driven blend of Country-Pop and Southern Rock – a.k.a. the “Block Party” sound – to Nashville’s evolving musical landscape, Pricilla earned a New Female Artist of the Year nod at this year’s ACM Awards and she recently performed at the CMT Music Awards where she was nominated for Breakthrough Video of the Year for “Just About Over You.”

“It was a real pleasure having Priscilla Block at Coyote Joes on April 8th! First of all, she did massive numbers, then it was followed by a kick ass concert with all of her fans singing every word to every song! It truly was an amazing night enjoyed by everyone, and we can’t wait to have her back! Priscilla is on fire!”
    – Alan Presley (Owner, Charlotte’s Coyote Joe’s)

Priscilla continues her busy tour schedule through the summer including her first time performing at Nashville’s famed CMA Music Fest and upcoming tour dates with Jon Pardi.

Priscilla is currently making her way up the country charts with her latest single, “My Bar.”
