  • BROTHERS OSBORNE AREN’T FOR “EVERYONE.”

Brothers Osborne says it’s absolutely okay not to be liked by everybody, like it says in their latest song, “I’m Not For Everyone.”

“’I’m Not For Everyone’ is one of our favorite songs on the record (Skeletons), because it really speaks a lot about our philosophy on life and it really speaks to us just being ourselves,” says John Osborne, one half of the brotherly duo. “At some point, you just have to realize that you can’t make everybody happy all the time. The second you realize that it really takes the pressure off of you and just allows you to be yourself. It starts off saying, ‘Some people clap on the 1 and 3 and some people clap on the 2 and 4 and some people don’t join at all because they don’t have any rhythm and that’s alright.’ We can all get along. We can all just coexist in the same place even though we might not get along outside of that place, and it’s okay to not be for everyone. My brother and I certainly are because we speak our mind and catch a lot of s%@ (beep)t for it.” (laughs)

The two are crisscrossing the country with their We’re Not For Everyone Tour, and they’re taking along Travis Denning and Tenille Arts. The next slew of dates for the trek include Wednesday (August 4th) in Toledo, Ohio and Thursday (August 5th) in Maryland Heights, Missouri.

  • PARKER McCOLLUM GOLD CHAIN COWBOY ALBUM AUDIO TOOLKIT.

We have compiled an array of content — a variety of liners and soundbites – from PARKER McCOLLUM to equip you with everything you might need to put together your own album radio special; roll-out tracks leading up to –and following — the release of his new record, GOLD CHAIN COWBOY, to use in news feeds, radio specials and much more. Check out all of details below (including audio liners and soundbites, as well as transcriptions) to create your own content surrounding Parker’s new album release.

Parker McCollum wants it both ways. Restless soul who can slam dunk a major venue. Texas spirit who can exist on mainstream country radio. Songwriter with a sense of turpentine and truth singing for people whose life isn’t quite the truckbed/field party revel much of country music would have you believe.

Coming up in Texas, selling out Stubbs, Billy Bobs and Nutty Browns, the brash young man with a taste for Rodney Crowell, Todd Snider and James McMurtry had just enough Houston gangster rap in the water to develop a swagger that’s miles from the good ole boy patina so many of his peers embody. But don’t let that bravado fool you, his passion for songwriting runs deep.
“I want to have Luke Bryan success, singing Chris Knight-caliber songs,” he declares. “To have longevity, you can’t sacrifice integrity to get on the radio. People know the difference, look at Willie, look at Strait. I knew I could do Texas and never leave, or come to Nashville and do the pop-country thing. My goal is to ride the middle.”

He exhales as he says this, takes in the landscape. He’s already notched a platinum-certified #1 with the banged-up declaration of love and betrayal “Pretty Heart.”

  • ALAN JACKSON RELEASES NEW SINGLE, ‘YOU’LL ALWAYS BE MY BABY,” TO COUNTRY RADIO.

Alan Jackson released a new single to country radio today. “You’ll Always Be My Baby” was written by Alan for his daughters’ weddings and is featured on his latest album, Where Have You Gone.

“When Mattie got married – my oldest daughter Mattie got married four years ago she wanted me to write a song for the father/daughter dance,” says Alan. “So that’s where it came from. And I wrote it and then I told my other two girls, I said ‘look, I’m just going to write one song and all three of y’all can use it for your dance if you want to.’ I said, ‘I don’t want to have to write three different songs.’ So, I’ve used it twice now.”

Alan says his late son-in-law (who was married to daughter Mattie) was very emotional after hearing “You’ll Always Be My Baby.” “I think all three of them were very touched by it, but I remember more was Mattie’s husband, Ben. I remember we were at home and said we had written this thing. I had a rough demo of it or something,” he says. “And we went out in the garage and sat in the truck because I didn’t have any way to play it in the house. I don’t know what I had…I may have had a CD or something. I don’t remember now. And we played it and I remember him looking emotional about it and saying that was just perfect or something to that effect. And that stuck with me. And he’s – it was Mattie’s husband who died accidentally after not quite the first year they were married. So that was a nice memory to have of that.”

Alan is heading to Denver, Colorado on Friday (August 6th) and  Salt Lake City on Saturday (August 7th).
