• COUNTRY MUSIC STAR ALAN JACKSON TO STAGE “SMALL TOWN DRIVE-IN” CONCERTS.

Country Music icon Alan Jackson will perform a pair of shows next month in Alabama as he launches his first-ever “Small Town Drive-In” concerts – presented by Pepsi – bringing three decades of hits to music fans in a unique “drive-in meets concert” experience, giving attendees a quality-of-life activity during this current time of isolation and uncertainty.

Jackson will stage two shows – June 5 in Cullman, AL (on the open-field site of the long-running Rock the South festival) and June 6 in Fairhope, AL (on the grounds of Oak Hollow Farm). Detailed information regarding each location and event is available at AlanJacksonDriveIn.com.

Alan Jackson’s Small Town Drive-In concerts will find the Country Music Hall of Famer playing to an audience of approximately 2000 parked vehicles. Both events will be staged in accordance with and while promoting CDC and Alabama state health guidelines regarding social distancing and other practices. Concertgoers will be required to stay with their vehicles…and concessions will be provided only via phone orders with delivery to vehicles.

Tickets for Alan Jackson’s Small Town Drive-In concerts go on sale Wednesday, May 27 (10:00am CT) at AlanJacksonDriveIn.com. General admission price per vehicle (up to two passengers) is $99.99; additional passenger tickets may be purchased for $39.99. A limited amount of VIP parking, closest to the stage, is available starting at $199.99.

A portion of all proceeds from each Small Town Drive-In concert will go toward food relief efforts in the respective regions, which have been taxed more than usual due to current events and resulting economic circumstances. More information about the designated charities can be found at AlanJacksonDriveIn.com.

The Cory Farley Band, frequent performers at Jackson’s AJ’s Good Time Bar in downtown Nashville, will open the shows.

Alan Jackson’s touring history has taken him all over the U.S. and around the world. His concert performances have been seen by millions in such far-reaching places as Australia, Norway and Brazil; he’s played iconic stages ranging from Carnegie Hall to the Ryman Auditorium. His 2020 Small Town Drive-In concerts will be the latest in his storied line of memorable and notable live concert events.

  • JORDAN DAVIS RELEASES SELF-TITLED EP.

A lot has changed for 2020 ACM Best New Male Artist of the Year nominee Jordan Davis since moving to Music City. From signing a record deal with MCA Nashville to racking up over one billion streams of his debut album Home State and notching three consecutive No. 1s, one thing has remained constant for the breakthrough hitmaker, his love for the craft of songwriting. That passion continues to drive his latest project, a six-song, self-titled EP out TODAY featuring latest single “Almost Maybes” which Billboard calls “a sure contender for song of the summer.” Listen to the EP HERE.

“We closed Home State with ‘Leaving New Orleans’ and it was one I almost didn’t record…I got too caught up in the lyrics and worried if you were not from New Orleans you wouldn’t be into the song. But at shows across the country people would sing the chorus back to us. The location didn’t matter to them, it was the meaning behind the lyrics that struck a chord. I wanted to lean into that and create more songs like it for this project.”

Teaming once again with Home State producer Paul DiGiovanni, Davis delivers the catchy hooks and sing-a-longs that have become his signature with tracks like “Almost Maybes,” written with songwriting heavy weights Jesse Frasure and Hillary Lindsey, and the lighthearted “Ruin My Weekend.” But the man American Songwriter describes as, “the kind of high-wire act always balancing between commercial viability and lyrical splendor” goes deeper with the personal “Detours” and spiritual “Church In A Chevy,” a song that now feels even more timely in the face of the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic.

“I hope this EP creates a bridge for fans between albums…a nod to where we’ve been and a preview of where we are going,” shares Davis. “Every time I step in a writer’s room it is an opportunity to create something that resonates, that lasts, and that hopefully makes a difference. That’s what I hope these songs will do.”

In addition to the EP release, Davis will premiere the official music video for “Church In A Chevy” today at 11 a.m. CT with a pre-premiere YouTube live chat with fans at 10:30 a.m. CT.

“When we wrote ‘Church In A Chevy’ it felt like it was more for me than anyone else. I’d been on the road a lot, Eloise was about to be born and I was feeling overwhelmed,” Davis notes. “Six months later this song feels even more relevant. Things are crazy right now and I hope this song helps fans find the same peace it brought me.”

Alongside three never-before-heard tracks the new six-song collection includes latest single “Almost Maybes,” critically acclaimed “Detours” and recent collaboration with pop superstar Julia Michaels, “Cool Anymore.”

    1. Almost Maybes (Jordan Davis, Hillary Lindsey, Jesse Frasure)
    2. Church In A Chevy (Jordan Davis, Josh Jenkins, Matt Jenkins)
    3. Ruin My Weekend (Jordan Davis, Matt Jenkins, Josh Jenkins)
    4. Little Lime (Jordan Davis, Josh Kerr, Jacob Davis)
    5. Detours (Jordan Davis, Dave Turnbull, Jacob Davis)
    6. Cool Anymore (ft. Julia Michaels) (Jordan Davis, Emily Weisband, Nicole Galyon, Ross Copperman, Julia Michaels)

Fans can also tune in to Country Outdoors LIVE tonight at 7 p.m. ET on Outdoor Channel where Davis will perform and chat with hosts Mary O’Neill Phillips and Nick Hoffman and after the show the conversation will continue on Outdoor Channel’s Facebook Page!

Jordan Davis (self-titled EP) 2 OC: …is gonna go. :41
“Coming off of Home State, I think one of my favorite things following artists growing up was kind of seeing the growth of ‘em, and with me, I’m at a totally different spot than I was when I was writing for Home State. I’ve been married for a couple of years, I have a daughter now, and I’m writing about those events that are happening in my life, and that’s what these songs are. I’m very grateful for where I’m at right now, and I think that shows in the songwriting of this EP. I think it also kind of digs my heels in more into the direction this new music and this next chapter is gonna go.”

“My granddad was in World World II. He was on the USS Texas battleship, and he was over at Normandy and over near Japan and he spent a lot of time right in the thick of World War II. He really took pride in what that meant, and it was something I got to see it first hand, as somebody who got to experience that; somebody who had that galvanized American trait. It’s hard to describe it. It was just somebody who’s been through that, seen that and really appreciates what that means. I try to channel that into my life, because I haven’t fought in any war, but I have a ton of respect for folks who have, folks who’ve sacrificed, families who’ve lost lives and just sacrificed years of their own lives and time and effort to maintain those freedoms.”

  • JORDAN DAVIS EP AUDIO TOOLKIT.

We have compiled an array of content — liners and a few soundbites – from JORDAN DAVIS to equip you with some tools that we hope will come in handy and help you roll out tracks leading up to – and following – the release of the Louisiana native’s self-titled EP JORDAN DAVIS.. Check out the content below (including the liners and transcriptions).

It was a dream of becoming a songwriter that first brought Shreveport, Louisiana native Jordan Davis to Nashville in 2012. A lot has changed for 2020 ACM Best New Male Artist of the Year nominee since moving to Music City. From signing a record deal with MCA Nashville and racking up over one billion streams of his debut album Home State to touring the country playing for fans and notching three consecutive No. 1s with Platinum-certified “Singles You Up” and “Take It From Me” and most recently “Slow Dance In a Parking Lot,” one thing has remained constant for the breakthrough hitmaker, his love for the craft of songwriting. That passion continues to drive his latest project, a self-titled EP out May 22nd.

Davis toes that rare line between commercial viability and intricate songwriting. A paradox of reflective and feel-good, he proves the two are not mutually exclusive with his new EP. Teaming once again with Home State producer Paul DiGiovanni, Davis delivers the catchy hooks and the sing-a-longs that have become his signature, with tracks like “Ruin My Weekend” and latest single “Almost Maybes” written with songwriting heavy weights Jesse Frasure and Hillary Lindsey, while going deeper with the personal “Detours” and spiritual “Church In A Chevy.” It’s an artistic dichotomy Davis has been aware of since he started listening to music as a kid.
