  • LUKE BRYAN WILL PERFORM THE NATIONAL ANTHEM AT NHL’S NASHVILLE PREDATORS GAME THIS WEEK TO RAISE AWARENESS AND FUNDS FOR CHD.

On Thursday (February 13th), the Nashville Predators Foundation will host Hockey Has Heart Congenital Heart Defect (CHD) Awareness Night in support of the cardiac research and support that takes place at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. CHD, which impacts 40,000 newborns in the United States per year, results when the heart, or blood vessels near the heart, don’t develop normally before birth.

Prior to the 7 p.m. CT matchup between the Predators and Islanders, joined by two young CHD patients, country music super star Luke Bryan will perform the National Anthem. When Luke and his wife Caroline Boyer Bryan lost their niece, Sadie Brett Boyer, to complications of CHD in 2017, they came together with Brett’s parents, Ellen and Bo Boyer, to create The Brett Boyer Foundation in her honor. Since the foundation’s inception, the Bryan and Boyer family has been committed to raising awareness and funding research surrounding CHD.

In addition to Luke’s presence on behalf of The Brett Boyer Foundation, multiple CHD non-profits will be in attendance on Thursday to promote CHD awareness and research. Bright Heart FoundationAdult Congenital Heart AssociationHaley’s HeartsWorld of Broken Hearts and WubbaNub will host a mixer in the Bridgestone Arena meeting rooms for over 200 heart warriors and their families who will be at the game. WubbaNub Founder & CEO Carla Schneider will be in attendance and was instrumental in collaborating with the Preds to create the special Preds CHD Bear. Additionally, representatives from each organization will be on site to further support the CHD families and educate Preds fans.

As the guests of honor that evening, the young CHD patients and their families will receive the star treatment on Thursday. Following the mixer, the kids will have the opportunity to high five the team as they take the ice, ring the “Mayor of Smashville” siren and even enjoy all the action from Pekka Rinne‘s 365 Fund suite or Matt Duchene‘s Hockey Tonk.

To support the CHD fundraising efforts just in time for Valentine’s Day, fans are invited to stop by the Predators Foundation area (outside of Section 106/107) or the team store to purchase an adorable Preds WubbaNub pacifier (0-6 months) for $20. The WubbaNub is also available online. All proceeds will benefit CHD research and support at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. Additionally, limited CHD t-shirts will be available for purchase. Donations will also be accepted.

  • HOT COUNTRY KNIGHTS MAKE TV DEBUT ON JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE! WITH “ASPHALT.”

The ’90s influenced band Hot Country Knights made their late night television debut on Monday (2/03) as they performed a new original song, “Asphalt,” on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!. The modern-day drifter’s lament and “double-entendre-laced power ballad” (Rolling Stone) encapsulates the road-warriors mentality and coincides with the recent announcement behind the Knights 2020 ONE KNIGHT STAND TOUR as tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday (2/07).

Fans can watch the Knights show off their emotional versatilely during their performance of “Asphalt” on Jimmy Kimmel Live! here: https://umgn.us/HCKKimmel

The Hot Country Knights also impacted Country radio this week with their debut single “Pick Her Up” feat. Travis Tritt as stations instantly added the song that Saving Country Music dubbed “kind of badass.” Produced and written by multi-Platinum entertainer Dierks Bentley along with co-writers Jim Beavers and Brett Beavers, “Pick Her Up” is a classic barnstormer that features Doug Douglason and Tritt trading vocals filled with “humorous lyrical content” (Billboard) that’s mixed with “a lively fiddle and steel riff” (Entertainment Tonight).

The Knights will embark on the 2020 ONE KNIGHT STAND TOUR when it launches April 7 in San Diego, CA, and it includes major market stops at iconic venues such as Los Angeles’ Wiltern Theater, Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium and what is sure to be an unforgettable night at the Talladega Superspeedway.

  • JORDAN DAVIS NAMED CELEBRITY AMBASSADOR FOR THE RYAN SEACREST FOUNDATION.

Jordan Davis has been named as a new Celebrity Ambassador for the non-profit Ryan Seacrest Foundation (RSF). As ambassador, Jordan will help the organization by creating awareness, visiting patients in various studios at Childrens Hospitals around the nation, raising money and much more.

“I am beyond honored to be the newest ambassador for the Ryan Seacrest Foundation,” says the Louisiana native. “It’s been so rewarding to visit the different hospitals all over the country and spend time with the amazing kids and their families, as well as doctors and nurses.”

Jordan, who became a father late last year, has already visited four different Seacrest Studios, and he recently launched an online auction where fans will have the opportunity for a meet-and-greet and behind-the-scenes experience, with all funds raised supporting the organization.

“We are so thankful to have Jordan join us as a Celebrity Ambassador,” said Meredith Seacrest, RSF’s Executive Director and COO. “Over the last few years, we have been amazed by his ability to bring smiles to children and teens in Seacrest Studios – even in the toughest of circumstances.” For more information, go to ryanseacrestfoundation.org.

    About Sam Hunt:
Multi-Platinum-selling, award-winning hitmaker Sam Hunt recently introduced fans to his new song, “Kinfolks”- already Top 5 at country radio. Leaning on the sentiment of “you can’t make old friends,” Hunt exemplifies the importance of bringing a new relationship into the mix and comfortability of home. “Kinfolks” follows Hunt’s GRAMMY-nominated, Triple-Platinum-selling debut album, Montevallo (MCA Nashville), which topped the Billboard Country Albums Chart in its first week and it remains the best-selling debut album for a country artist since 2011; and his three-week No. 1, 6x Platinum-selling, GRAMMY-nominated smash, “Body Like A Back Road.”

Montevallo produced four No. 1 singles and five Platinum and Multi-Platinum-selling hits including “Leave the Night On,” “House Party,” “Take Your Time,” “Break Up In A Small Town” and “Make You Miss Me.” Then, Hunt’s “Body Like A Back Road” release shot to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart where it remained for an unprecedented 34 consecutive weeks, shattering the record for most weeks atop the nearly 59-year-old chart. “Body Like A Back Road” was also the No. 3 most-downloaded all genre song of 2017.

Called “stylistically provocative” by The New York Times and “deceptively phenomenal” by The Washington Post, Hunt has received accolades from Associated Press, Billboard, Los Angeles Times, NPR, Rolling Stone, SPIN Magazine, Village Voice, The New York Times, The Washington Post and more. Since the Montevallo’s 2014 release, Hunt has accumulated over 6.85 billion global streams and has earned 22 million RIAA certified units. Hunt is currently in the studio finishing up a new project expected in the new year. For information on Sam Hunt, visit www.SamHunt.com.

    About Kip Moore:
Multi-PLATINUM singer/songwriter Kip Moore’s “pulsing” (Billboard) new single “She’s Mine” is currently rising at country radio and is taken from his upcoming fourth studio album, of which more details will be revealed soon. The forthcoming project follows his ROOM TO SPARE: THE ACOUSTIC SESSIONS EP which sparked his “wildly successful” (Chicago Tribune) sold-out acoustic tour and his third studio album SLOWHEART, which garnered instant praise from critics as his “most complete, cohesive declaration of his artistic sensibilities yet” (NPR), as well landing on multiple “Best Of” lists including Entertainment Weekly, Rolling Stone, UpRoxx, Bobby Bones Show and many more. SLOWHEART included Moore’s fourth No. One single and follows the critical acclaim that surrounded Moore’s sophomore album WILD ONES and his PLATINUM debut album UP ALL NIGHT that spawned three No. One hit singles. Next up, CMA “International Artist Achievement Award” nominee Kip Moore will hit the road for another international trek, returning to his Australian fan base in 2020 for headlining arena dates in Melbourne, AU on 3/17 and Sydney, AU on 3/18. Moore will also headline Australia’s premiere Country music festival, CMC Rocks QLD 2020, taking place in Willowbank, AU 3/20-3/22. For more information, visit kipmoore.net.

    About Travis Denning:
A native of Warner Robins, Georgia, singer/songwriter Travis Denning’s current Top 20 single “After A Few,” is ascending the country radio charts. The “memorable” song showcases Denning’s “future star power” (Billboard) and was co-written by Denning with Kelly Archer and Justin Weaver. The track follows his Top 40 debut single “David Ashley Parker From Powder Springs.”  The Mercury Nashville recording artist is kicking off 2020 as support on Dustin Lynch’s “Stay Country” Tour. Denning has previously opened shows for Cole Swindell, Alan Jackson, LANCO, Riley Green and his first headlining “Heartbeat Of A Small Town Tour.” Denning has been spotlighted by Rolling Stone for his “everyman worldview that evokes his small-town, big-hearted upbringing and a sound that is a wide tent – fun, modern country with rock-guitar licks” and was selected this past year as an Opry NextStage recipient and CMA KixStart Artist, as he makes his mark within the industry. Inspired at a young age, Denning developed a love for Country, pop, rock and heavy metal and started playing local bars from the age of 16, as he built a strong following from his distinctive songs and raucous guitar solos. A prolific writer with an unquestionable stage presence, Denning moved to Nashville and secured outside cuts by Jason Aldean, Justin Moore, Michael Ray and Chase Rice. Sam Hunt (Kinfolks-writing) OC: …straightforward. :59
“‘Kinfolks’ — it was just a title that I had that I wanted to write, and I couldn’t figure out how to write it. And so, I think I was writing with my producer, who has produced all the stuff so far, Zach Crowell (as well as writers) Josh Osborne and Jerry Flowers. Jerry’s so good musically. He’ll just start playing a riff on a guitar, which is what happened with this song. He was playing a riff, and Josh and I were talking about this concept ‘Kinfolks,’ and I said, ‘How do you think we should write this?,’ and he was like, ‘What if you wrote it like I want to introduce you to my kinfolks?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, that’s, I like that,’ and he started singing that chorus and then we kind of just started finishing each other’s sentences and those lyrics just started falling out. As we had that chorus, I just took it back home, like I usually do with those verses, and I just started mapping it out just the language and those verses and plugged in some lyrics. So, I just tweaked those verses a lot and we’d get back together and kind of mess with it a little bit. And for the most part, it came together pretty easily, because it was pretty straightforward.”

  • MADDIE & TAE REVEAL SOPHOMORE ALBUM, THE WAY IT FEELS, AVAILABLE ON APRIL 10TH.

As PLATINUM-selling duo Maddie & Tae are “riding a gust of momentum” (PEOPLE) following an explosive 2019 unveiling new music that is “drenched in raw, vulnerable emotion” (American Songwriter), the pair continues to fill-in pages of their expansive journey, revealing details today of their highly-anticipated full-length sophomore album The Way It Feels (Mercury Nashville), set to be released on April 10. Produced by Jimmy Robbins and Derek Wells, the album is available for pre-save NOW.

Featuring songs and stories from their previous two EPs shared last year, which helped propel the pair as the Best Streaming Female Country Duo of All Time with over 812 MILLION streams and earned instant critical applause for introducing “a more sophisticated side” (Associated Press), The Way It Feels is rounded out with five brand new tracks all co-written by Maddie & Tae’s Maddie Marlow and Taylor Dye, culminating in the duo’s winding journey of love, loss… and most importantly redemption.

Opening with the “feel-good” (Billboard) “Everywhere I’m Goin,” their boldly honest sophomore album balances the tumbling heartache of their current single “Die From A Broken Heart” and the “harmony-rich ballad” (Rolling Stone) “Lay Here With Me” feat. Dierks Bentley into all-consuming love of “Trying On Rings,” “My Man” and “Write A Book.”  Stand-out moments of strength include “One Heart To Another,” while some of their most raw moments are on in display in the delicate “Water In His Wine Glass.”

“It has been four years since we’ve released an album. For us, this is a lot more than just an album release,” Marlow shared. “This sophomore album will always be a reminder that no matter the setbacks and struggles, we will come out stronger and better. We are so proud of this 15-song story. We wrote these songs during the most vulnerable times and our hope is that people hear that and connect.”

The Way it Feels is finally here!” added Dye. “These songs will always represent something so beautiful and spiritual to us. And hopefully, it will represent something similar to people who listen.”

The Way It Feels track listing:

Having road-tested a handful of their new music last year as the duo “took their live show to the next level” (Washington Post) spanning Carrie Underwood’s 55-city The Cry Pretty Tour 360 and performances on the 2019 ACM and CMA Awards as well as back-to-back TODAY Show appearances, the pair are looking ahead to commanding their own stage on their headlining TOURIST IN THIS TOWN TOUR, kicking off in April. Tickets are available now at www.maddieandtae.com/tour. Following their headlining outing, the pair is set to “get the crowd smoldering” (The Oklahoman) all summer on Lady Antebellum’s nationwide OCEAN TOUR.

Award-winning duo Maddie & Tae are drawing praise for their new music “anchored around their stellar vocal pairings and some of the tightest harmonies on Music Row” (Rolling Stone) with a “sound that’s identifiable while still representing a distinct step forward” (Billboard). Maddie & Tae first broke out in 2013 with their brilliant “Girl In A Country Song,” which took Country radio by storm, skyrocketing to the top of the charts and quickly going PLATINUM. The duo became only the third female duo in 70 years to top the Country Airplay charts, also earning trophies from the Country Music Academy and Radio Disney Music Awards along with multiple ACM, CMA and CMT Award nominations. Receiving widespread praise from NPR, Billboard, Entertainment Weekly, The Washington Post, Glamour and others, Country music’s hottest stars including Carrie Underwood, Dierks Bentley, Lee Brice and Brad Paisley have welcomed Maddie & Tae on the road, with the pair set to support Lady Antebellum’s 2020 OCEAN TOUR following their headlining TOURIST IN THIS TOWN TOUR. For additional information, visit www.maddieandtae.com.

Maddie & Tae (message through music) OC: …love it. :26
“I think something that Maddie and I want to say through our songs, especially in this new chapter of life is that we’ve lived a lot of life in the past couple of years, but no matter what phase we’ve gone through, we always want to have that self-confidence and self-awareness to just go through any type of chapter life throws at us. We’ve had some ups and downs, but through it all we’ve just stayed ourselves and we’ve stayed true to our songwriting. And I think a lot of people are going to learn that about us, if they didn’t know it already, and hopefully love it.”

  • LUKE BRYAN SCORES 29TH TOP 10 HIT.

Luke Bryan has just scored his 29th Top 10 single with his latest smash, “What She Wants Tonight.” The song, written by Luke, Ross Copperman, Hillary Lindsey and Jon Nite and produced by Jeff and Jody Stevens, is the follow up to Luke’s 23rd career No. 1 single “Knockin’ Boots” and is the second release from his upcoming studio album, Born Here, Live Here, Die Here, due April 24th.

Luke says he was really excited about the “infectious” song as it was coming together. “Ross came in, and he had the track and that drum loop in the front kind of dialed in, and the second I heard it, it was just really, really infectious. And then we were able to just really put a really great lyric (together) with a high energy track. When we came up with the hook – ‘She gets what she wants/and I get to be what she wants tonight,’ I was just, it just felt like something that could be played on the radio and it felt like something like that’s what women want to hear. They want to have a confident guy kind of singing to them in that way, and I hadn’t been this excited about a song in some time.”

The Georgia native is currently in the midst of taping American Idol, which is set to debut February 16th. He’s also set to launch his new tour, Proud to Be Right Here, May 28th in Cincinnati, Ohio.
